Matt McElhenny Heating & A/C Service

I have used Matt in the past to work on furnaces at my rental properties and he did a great job with them - prompt, efficient, and able to keep these old furnaces cleaned and running like clockwork. So, when our a/c unit at home failed I called him and asked him to come out and check it. He was there there the next morning and he checked the system out thoroughly and came back with the bad news that our 13-year-old unit was fried. (we confirmed this with our own equipment, so we knew he was being honest about it.) We asked Matt for a price on a new one and he quoted us $2400 to completely remove and replace the old unit with a brand new one that was configured to the size of the house. He thought he wouldn't be able to get it in right away, but told me a couple of days later that he had rearranged his schedule and was able to put it in early the next week. We were very glad to hear that because in the summer we have a difficult time dealing with the heat and humidity and this was welcome news. Matt arrived the next Monday and got to work, and it took him two days to clean out the old system and re-install the new one. He worked by himself and he was quiet, careful of the house and our belongings, cleaned up after himself, and got the job done quickly and neatly. His work was very nice and the unit works like a charm. We will continue to use Matt for all our heating and a/c needs, he's everything you want in a repair guy!
