Description of Work: Doug was exceptionally thorough in giving us our estimate for railing on our porch. Everything from going over the contract to how the install would be handle, nothing was left unanswered. They are very knowledgeable and talented in their craft. I will definitely be calling DBC Construction for my next project.

Description of Work: New Marvin windows, insulation, siding, front door. Doug and his crew are first class. They did an outstanding job. They care about the details, and doing the best quality work that they can do, and it shows. I know some folks have said they were expensive, but their price was right inline with some of the "replacement guys," and there is no question that we got a superior job, with superior products.

 + -1 moreAfter having hired DBC to redo our front steps, I had no doubt that I would hire them again to do our deck. From the moment of introduction, Doug and his crew were friendly, professional, and respectful. His discussion regarding materials and estimates for our project was thorough and honest. He and his crew worked tirelessly, even in harsh weather, on this project and had it completed faster than I thought someone could, while being very precise with measurement, placement, and structural integrity, and with concern for aesthetics. They remained non-invasive throughout the whole project, yet were friendly and engaged when approached, and offered feedback about progress, etc. I cannot have asked for a better company and will call them first for ANY project we consider in the future.
Description of Work: Doug and his coworkers built a three-level deck attached to the back of our house.

 + -1 moreCrew showed up each morning 8am worked until 4:30, rain and shine. Whole crew was polite and professional. Work completed in 2 weeks. After the deck was completed crew cleaned up yard and removed all waste materials. I requested one design change after framing completed, change took 4 hours no additional cost.

 + -1 moreDoug and his crew showed up on time everyday and left the work site clean every day (even though the work wasn't finished.) They worked on the deck for 3 days, and then returned a few weeks later to put on the railings. The railings were delivered late (Timbertek's fault) because they were special-ordered and were behind in their shipments. Doug and his crew are very professional and pleasant. The finished deck is beautiful!
Description of Work: DBC ripped out our old wooden deck and replaced it with a pvc deck from Timbertek.

He responded immediately to our inquiries, was punctual each meeting, neat with his carpentry supplies and clean-up, and was very friendly and flexible to work with. Our new porch railings look beautiful, and it only took DBC Remodeling roughly only a little over 1 work day to complete the job from start to finish. We will DEFINITELY be calling Doug for any future projects that we might have, and highly recommend him to anyone!

 + -1 moreDoug was very knowledgeable and told me, honestly, that my best bet would be to go with a concrete company to pour a new patio rather than have him build a deck. I truly appreciated his candor and was impressed by his expertise and professionalism. I ultimately ended up taking his advice and going with a concrete company, but I plan to keep DBC in mind for future home projects (and I already recommended DBC to several friends who are considering home projects).

He was one of a very few who wanted to be bothered for a small job. He was a little bit higher priced than a few others but when I saw how professional is estimate was and after checking out his website and work, I felt he was the man for the job. , He kept in contact until he could give me a solid date to do the work. On that date he showed up on time and even though it looked like rain he was still prepared to do the work. I am very pleased with the look of my new porch railings. He did a beautiful job, cleaned up after himself and even helped me out with a small repair to the back of my house. I would definitely recommend Doug for any of your remodeling needs and have already told many friends about him. Thank you Doug!

Let the cement dry over night .We gave them permission to leave there construction trailer with there tools and trailer for old wood and used wood ,old porch wood, and roof shingles etc. to be left for the week of the work being done .Started Construction of Deck on Tuesday Aug. 14,2012 . Wed. Aug15, 2012 finished 2 sets of steps and laid weed free plastic under deck, also started repair of storage shed removed old shingles and old doors and all rooted wood from shed, laid the floor of Deck 3/4 done. On Aug16,2012 finished floor of deck and worked on repair of shed ,replaced 3 sides of wood sided (painted ahead on FridayAug.10,2012) assembled the 3 newly painted sides of storage shed and Painted Back( We chose a color for our shed to be painted)in which was assembled on Aug.16,17,2012 On Aug.17,2012 finished up on storage shed and completed all construction of our NEW DECK and REPAIR OF STORAGE SHED . We are very ,very Happy,Pleased, with The Excellent Work and Construction of our New Deck and Repair Of Storage Shed. Description of Work: I called DBC Remodeling and Construction,LLC on July17,2012 .DBC Remodeling and Construction Called us back on July18,2012 to set up a time to come over to our House and give us an Estimate of cost of Building a Deck and Repair our Storage Shed. On Tuesday July 24, 2012 we recieved an estimate in the mail as we requested . We were very pleased with the estimate price. We called DBC Remodeling back on Wed July25,2012 to set a estimated start date for our New Deck and Repair Of Shed. On Thursday July26,2012 DBC Remodeling and Construction called back and made an appoitment to come over to mark out area of Deck to be Constructed and Check up on extra details we wished to have done. Set up an appoitment on Monday July 30,2012 of Estimated Start date. On August 3,2012 called to make sure of appoitment Start date. The following week of Aug.reviewed Construction Contract and signed our copy for :DBC and we had a copy for our records that was also signed by us and DBC. Gave Permission to DBC to obtain a Permit for Building . The following week was Aug.7,2012 On Aug 9,2012 DBC called us to Start on Aug.10,2012 But the weather was very windy and Raining all day (Date was Aug.10,2012). Recieved a call on Friday Aug.10,2012 Stating the Start date was to be on Monday Aug.13,2012. They arrived early in the morning Monday Aug.13,2012 thru Friday Aug.17,2012 Our Whole Project of Construction our New Deck and Repair of our Esisting Shed.

He put in a programmable thermostat for me, he fixed the siding by the back door, and he made a hand rail by the steps at the back door. He put in a blind in the garage to separate the garage stalls. He laid some floor boards in the attic. He redirected the water that flowed from the down spout.

 + 1 more1) Our roof shingles were getting old and had strange mold stains on them. We contacted Doug Bierer and he gave us an estimate that was reasonable. He presented several options of styles and we chose the architectural style. He showed up with two other workers and completed the job within 3 days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the area around the house... it was nice to not have our house looking like a messy construction site. 2) Doug replaced the old siding on the front of our house to match an extension we had put on the side. 3) We had Doug also replace our kitchen floor. He and his partner ripped up the old linoleum flooring and put down the new laminate flooring in one day. They expected to be done by 5, but ended up staying until 8:30 to get the job done. Again, he left the kitchen in clean condition. When some air bubbles appeared in the flooring, I called him and he returned within the week to fix the floor. I was extremely impressed with his honesty, professionalism and high quality of workmanship. I've been recommending him to all of my friends!
Description of Work: Doug Bierer Carpentry put new shingles (over the old ones) on our house. The workers were professional and the job was well-done. He also replaced our kitchen floor. The entire process was pleasant and Doug was completely honest. When some bubbles appeared in the laminate floor, he returned within the week to repair it.
