I showed him the first bathroom, it was to update the counter and hand basin and new fixtures for the hand basint and in the shower. He said the counter has to be marble, he said the tile in the shower was loose and the current fixtures couldn't be replaced the entire wall would have to be tore out. He then pounded, not a knock, but slammed his fist twice on the shower wall. The next morning when I went to take a shower, I noticed for the first time he had broke the backboard because several of the tile right above the tub are pushed in and the grout on a third of the tile is now cracked and loose. The second bathroom I wanted updates made to was to remove the vinyl wall tile and replace the sink. He said he could remove the tile without damaging the wall and paint it. The third bathroom is a half bath in the basement. the walls are tile board. He grabbed the trim and broke it off. He saw it was green board under the tile board. There is mold along the baseboard because the sewer backed up, He said he'd remove the wall and see what was going on, but he didn't seem to want to do anything else in that bathroom. I have not heard from him since. I've never experienced a contractor coming into a house and damaging the property just to provide an estimate. He was the second contractor I had come in to give me an estimate. The first contractor said the bathroom tile walls were fine and he could find replacement fixtures for the current fixtures. He said he would not have to remove the walls. He has already provided me contracts for what I had asked for quotes. He was at the house two days before Mark Corsi came to give me an estimate. I am going to contact Mark and request he reimburse me for the cost to repair the bathroom tile he damaged. I was doing the updates on a fixed budget and replacing the bathroom shower walls was not part of the plan. They were fine and I did not have any water damage from them, until Mark showed up! I would not recommend using Mark Corsi Remodeling. He was not professional and had his own thoughts on what I needed to do. He told me the tile has to be removed and he would put a fiberglass surround in the shower. It would also be lower that what the current tile is. I would have rather had him tell me he didn't want the job, instead he came in and acted like a jerk. He has created a bigger mess and more expense which was not what was in the plan.
Description of Work: He was recommended by a friend, I saw the work he did and I liked the way the job was completed. I called him for an estimate. He showed up on time. I wanted estimates on updating 2.5 baths, but not complete remodeling in all of them. I've not heard from him or received an estimate since he was at the house. He told me what he thought I needed, but the worse part was he damaged the bathroom shower ceramic tile by pounding on it with his fist, breaking the backboard and loosing the tiles.
