Description of Work: He worked on it for over an hour and finally had to turn the job over to Reigle Electric who completed it. He did everything he could and I was amazed that he didn't charge me labor for the time spent! I will definitely call him again if needed.

Description of Work: First of all the job was completed on time and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. The price to Bert ($3235) was only labor, tile was around $1,300, and the glass shower enclosure was close to $2,000. Time involved to install all was about 2 1/2 days. We were removing a shower enclosure and replacing it with tiled walls and a quality enclosure we purchased from Lowe's. That's a perfect job for a handyman. Problem is Bert is not a handyman, he's a salesman. First he explained he doesn't do tile and would bring in a guy he uses to do tile work. Well, the "tile guy" was just a salesman too. Only when the job started did we learn who was doing the work. Fortunately, the two young guys that did the work did a fine job but I felt deceived as to who we were hiring to do the work. If you have two salesmen involved in a handyman job you are likely paying too much and I am sure we did. Also, Burt suggested we go to "ProSource" to order the tile. I should have gone to Lowe's because ProSource managed to screw up the order, made mistakes, and if you need one more tile than a full box you are stuck with buying a second box that will set on a shelf in the garage for the next 100 years. The ProSource environment was friendly but I would not order anything from there again.
