Description of Work: We had our ceiling repaired, texturized and painted due to some water damage. We also had a lighting fixture hung in our kids' bathroom and flourecnet lights replaced by bulbs in our garage.

+ 0 moreAfter reading reviews on Angie's List, I contacted Bert. I had an exterior door that pulled away from the frame and I needed wooden shutters installed inside. I called Bert on Thursday (he was on vacation but answered the phone) and he made time for me the following Monday evening. He was very professional, assessed the problem and went to work repairing the door. I had purchased shutters that were an 1" too long and he provided me several alternatives on how to make them work. I had to go back to work for an evening function and felt comfortable enough with Bert to leave him to finish the job. He is a really nice person. I will definitely call him to install the shutters and for several other job around my house.

+ -1 moreHe is a angel in a disguise. He does the much needed little jobs that the big companies don't want to do. He does a awesome job and he is in total control. He is very professional, on time and does everything he says he is going to do. He is really good with the invoices and estimates . He e-mails you all the time.
Description of Work: I used Bert's Handyman Service to do some minor electrical work on a 3-way switch. He has also performed some dry wall work, painted and installed shelves in a closet. . We have used him four different times.

+ 0 moreWe just tried him from you list to see if he was any good and when he started working he was very professional. He seemed to know what he was talking about, if there was anything he wasn't sure about like electrical stuff then he had somebody called in and I thought he was really good. He was easy to talk to, he called and he emailed. If he needed to change an appointment if something was easier for you then he emailed you with that. He was always considerate of you, excellent as far as working conditions, he came in and put plastic down all over the house, as much as possible when your doing plaster. He but in some drywall and also put in a support pole. He is coming back next Monday.
Description of Work: I used Bert's Handyman Service about a couple of months a got for a quote. we have had a couple of different jobs done by him over the last year.

+ -1 moreBert did a great job and took a great deal of time to make the replaced tiles look like they were always there. He arrived on time, gave us a quote, and completed the tasks in a timely fashion. It was a pleasure doing business with him and we plan to call upon him again in the spring.
Description of Work: We had several cracked ceramic tiles that needed to be removed, replaced, regrouted. In addition we had a leaky faucet that needed to be fixed and needed an address plate installed on a brick home. Seem like small jobs but they needed to be addressed.

+ 1 moreHe seemed to be an honest and good worker. He knows what he was doing. The only negative about him is that it is real hard to get a hold of him. You have to make your appointment with him months in advance. His availability is pretty bad because he works different jobs full time. This is on the side. He is supposed to come back next month to do some more work.
Description of Work: I used Bert's Handyman Service a few weeks ago. He removed all the old TV antenna off my house and corked all the windows. He charged me $135.

+ -1 moreMy husband and I cannot say enough good things about Bert. He scheduled the visit, then confirmed the day before, and showed up on time!! He has always been very professional, cleaning after his work and quoting fair prices. I felt like I was living a dream! It has been difficult at times to find qualified people to make minor repairs, but that is exactly what Bert does. He takes care of the small things that we don't have the time or expertise to handle. I recommend him to everyone I know, because I don't hesitate to say he is an outstanding handyman!
Description of Work: Bert Copple has been to our house on two different occasions. In August, we contacted him, after discovering his business on this site. We had minor door adjustments and roof vents that needed to be sealed. Bert returned my call the same day that I had left a message inquiring about his services. When I spoke to him he scheduled us on a specific date. The night before the scheduled visit, he contacted me to confirm and arrived the next day at the exact time that he had quoted. He completed all of the work that we had requested, including the roof vent seal. I wasn't sure if he would be willing to climb on the roof (we already had someone else refuse to do so). He checked it out well before he attempted it, and was able to complete the task very successfully. He came back to our house in September to take care of a leaky bathtub faucet. Again, his work was superb!

Description of Work: my mother wanted a half door at the top of her steps to keep her dog in the family room - Bert crafted this door (he just knew what she wanted without her having to explain and explain...he just got it! This door open and closes smoothly and quietly she is very pleased....I cannot say enough good things about Bert - I just hope he doesn't get too busy that he can't fit us in when we need something - although he has always found the time....hope this helps

+ 6 moreI had purchased all the materials for the job so I only paid him for labor. Since the job was outdoors, and very cold and snowing, he could only work when weather permitted. Bert was very courteous and always contacted me by phone or email to keep me posted of his progress or if he encountered a problem. He is the best contractor I've ever had to do work on my vacant property. I will be requesting his services again for another phase of remodeling at the same property and at my home, as well. He is a very conscientious man and dedicated to doing a good job. He really enjoys being a handyman. I'm sure you will be totally satisfied with his work.
Description of Work: Installed siding panels on 3 sides of a single car garage. Installed 3 - 6 x 8 fence panels and built some exterior steps near fence. Installed 10 foot gutter & downspout on garage. Repaired small section of rotted wood on the garage roof.

Each time he came on time, ready to do the work (always had tools and material right there). I was impressed that he did not have to leave to go to store to purchase an extra bolt or screw as other repair people always had to.
