Bob is a nice guy and very good at carpentry and mechanical types of projects. He is very poor at electrical and plumbing work. I have used this service on two different occasions: at my old house and at my new house. The work he did at my old house was mostly carpentry and general home improvement, which was fine and the work performed satisfactorily, but not done in a timely or consistent fashion. (He showed up usually at 5 PM to begin work.) I decided to overlook this for my new house when I hired him again to do a myriad of home improvement tasks but asked that my jobs take precedence and that he show up in the mornings between 8:30 am and 9:30 am to crank them out. He said that it would be no problem to do so. The first week he never came until mid afternoon and I had to remind him of his promise. After almost two months, I have now had to hire an electrician to come fix the mess he made of my wiring to my TV and sound system and hire a plumber to come fix my garbage disposal that essentially blew up mid cycle and other leaks that he didn't see when adding plumbing fixtures. I had to hire a painter to come fix the walls and ceilings that he left unfinished after adding lighting when he told me that he needed to "take a break and go work on other customers jobs." He then did not respond to my phone calls or texts in a timely or professional manner when I objected to his leaving my work unfinished.

Overall it was protracted. Also seemed priciey compared with other handymen we used. I won't say we wouldn't use him again but I would be much more assertive nailing down an action plan with dates.

He is extremely responsible, and responsive with a variety of talents. He is also very creative and come in exactly at his proposed rate.
