Stump's Decks and Porches

Description of Work: They removed old steps and installed a new deck. They stayed in constant communication with me from the selection process through the building process. There was one oversight in the construction and, when informed, they immediately took care of the issue. Stump's office staff, as well as the construction crew, was thoroughly professional and caring about the job.

Description of Work: It took them days to respond to e-mails and a voice mail, and then they told me that replacing columns on a front porch wasn't something they would do. They told me to try someone else. I'm assuming that since this would be a smaller job in the overall scheme of things (less than $1,000) they weren't interested.

Description of Work: Stump's removed our old deck, repaired some hidden rot and built a new, larger deck with screened in porch. |This project exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Anthony showed us lots of pictures and gave us good ideas. Brendan and his crew were amazing, fast and professional. It was apparent almost from their arrival that we were in great hands. We're enjoying our new space and would hire Stump's again without any hesitation.

Description of Work: These guys are serious about building decks - they take pride in what they do and the attention to detail from start to finish was exceptional. Anthony H. came out to provide an estimate on short notice and it was more of a free consultation than an estimate. He had actual samples of different deck and rail options that they offer and he had creative ideas for the layout of our 350 sq ft deck. Less than a week later he sent an email with multiple 3-D renderings of the deck with the different options we were considering. The price was better than other general contractors' and they finished the job in four days when others were estimating three weeks! |And the finished product is awesome. Expectations were exceeded across the board. I can't recommend these guys enough.

Description of Work: I requested an estimate for deck replacement on a 100+ year old home in Harrisburg. Estimator was very late (he did call which was good). The estimator was so bland, he measured, he asked a few questions and he left. He did not offer any suggestions for different looks or materials. We did receive the written estimate is just two days. The price was good. We will be using a different company.

Description of Work: Small porch over entrance and replaced an old pressure treated deck with a cedar deck and aluminum balusters in the back of the house. |Everything went well.

Description of Work: Replaced existing wooden deck with larger, composite deck and stainless steel cable railing with LED lighting. Love our new deck! Stumps was terrific to work with--from design, to scheduling, to work and to completion. Very good communication at every level. Price was very competitive. Willingness and patience in the design process was impressive and appreciated. Job site left clean every day. Schedule followed, in large part, even in poor weather. Very good quality work. We would highly recommend this company and would certainly use them again ourselves.

Description of Work: We had a deck built at our home. They did a nice job, did not make too much of a mess and cleaned up afterwards. The price was good and the job was done well and in a timely fashion.
