His bid seemed competitive, which he gave me and we agreed upon. I gave him his requested upfront money which seemed a normal percentage of the total price. But when he and his crew got here the whole dynamic change. The professionalism went away. He wanted to take shortcuts and I didn't like that. I felt like I had to be the policeman through the whole job to make sure it was done to my liking. And that created contention with me and the painter. It did not go well. Once you give someone money, they aren't going to say that they already bought the paint and have people here we're just going to say it's okay and here's your deposit back. I would not recommend him ever to anybody. It was terrible. If you want to say punctuality, that's the only good thing, because they were here consistently. I paid it through because I felt like I had to carry it through rather than pull out at the beginning. I gave him something like seventeen hundred dollars upfront. I never would have seen that again if I had pulled the plug after they started. I had to go through with it. He was not professional at all. He was in it for the buck and not the quality. For what it's worth, it's two years past and there's spots in the hallway, the living room, and the bathroom that are already failing. There's flakes on the wall and peeling and things like that. Small spots.

SUPER! Damien and his crew were professional and neat. Cleaned up completely and even suggested areas that would require future maintenance. The sidewalk and front of the house now look clean and inviting. Cost was reasonable and they even caulked and touched up additional areas they found while working. I am very pleased.
