Kent and his crew were phenomenal. First, we met to discuss options and ideas, measure the area, and look at the nitty gritty. He brought pictures of recent jobs on his iPad and shared some of his opinions of what might look and function best. Staring at a big hole in the ground, it was comforting to see through his visionary glasses. Never once did I feel reluctant at his guiding us through the deep waters on this project. Once the planning phase was over it was time to get busy. His workers arrived with him on our scheduled date and we all met to talk about how the whole apron would be laid out, stain colors, and special features. They completed the foundational work and next thing you know, the concrete trucks were pulling in our yard. Kent was very conscientious about our lawn and existing landscaping and made sure the concrete trucks understood his plan. It was HOT and humid, but these guys worked diligently. They worked with great precision and pace. At one point in the process, they needed a few extra guys to make sure they stayed on schedule but that was all clarified in advance. At the end of each day, they would neatly put their supplies and materials against our tree line. We really appreciated their attention to detail where this was concerned. Our yard seemed in disarray for so many months with the whole project, yet I never felt like they took advantage by adding to the cluttered space. Kent would often stay after his workers went home, using his Bobcat and other equipment to make sure the swail was right, that the run off would make sense, that the stone pile wasn't taking over the yard, and many other little tasks like that. His eye for detail, personal involvement, and consideration for what we wanted was entirely more than we expected. He stuck to his time frame and was totally realistic in terms of cash outlay. He even met us at our funky request to build a 'Gaga' Pit for the kids. Our crazy ask turned into a challenge for he and his crew, which they were happy to take on, but Kent made some really good suggestions again. Because the kids may only use this ball pit for a few years, he suggested we make it functional for the future. In other words, consider what it might be used for in 5 or 10 years when they are no longer interested in playing. It is now a future gazebo site with a beautiful stained and stamped compass in the center of it whenever we want to convert. That's vision and sustainability!! We now have a gorgeous, very organic looking, very functional deck around our pool. It is cantilever like we wanted, and the stain and design match our style as well as the existing stone wall that was built by the pool contractor. People comment all the time on it's uniqueness. It almost looks like a huge natural slate area, with a ribbon of stone around the edge, that we blew a hole in the middle and filled it with blue-green water. It is a peaceful oasis and we couldn't be happier. We entered this project with the jitters, and now I sit pool-side with a glass of wine feeling very satisfied with the outcome.

From my initial call to Kent for an estimate and throughout the entire job, communication has been outstanding and incredibly prompt. Kent and his crew's communication really set them apart from the competition. We had a pretty specific idea about what we wanted and Kent executed it perfectly. He also suggested modifications based on his experience that really helped us to avoid a few things that we might not have been happy with down the road. He spoke highly of his crew from the start and once the project was underway, I understood exactly why. They were clean cut, friendly, hard-working, and just as concerned about perfection and executing the job as Kent was. The entire design and installation process was very fluid. My wife and I chose a color to acetone stain the existing front porch that didn't look as great as we thought it would. Within an hour, Kent had stained it with a different color and even integrated the color in a subtle way into the new stamped steps that he installed. It looks better than we could have imagined. Another positive to working with Kent is that our yard was not torn up by heavy equipment. They do most of the work by hand to avoid tracks in the yard. Aside from a few tire marks from trucks that will disappear in the next few days, you can't tell that such a massive project took place. They did an outstanding job dealing with a pretty steep grade on one side of our yard to make sure that we didn't have a drop off from the patio as well. I can't say enough positive things about working with Kent and the rest of the Gray Construction crew.

We love our stamped concrete patio that looks like wood. He even it the color we wanted.... Love it!!!. We may use him again To do our front patio/porch as its plain concrete and he can cover It with color!!! Very pleased with the patio. Our family and friends love it and can Not believe its concrete! We haven't followed up with him yet. We've done investigating pavers and concrete but we haven't done anything about it yet. We were going to get in touch with him. He was pretty good. He showed up on time, he drew up a quote, talked to us about what we wanted done and within twenty-four hours, he emailed us the quote with the price and his methods of payment and I emailed him and told him we'll be in touch. At that time we were just getting quotes on concrete, patio, pavers and different kinds of patio materials. We've decided to go with concrete so we'll probably call him back. He was excellent. He came right out in twenty-four to forty-eight hours. He seemed to understand his trade and in fact he had done a job up the street from us and invited us to come up and look at his project and gave us his website information which we checked. I was confident with him. I think he was more than fair. He has been the most reasonably priced. He's one of the top of our list.

Kent Gray and his crew of hard-working guys showed up each morning of a 4 day project on time and ready to go. They were very careful with our homesite - which required some challenging and creative techniques to access our hilly backyard. During construction, Kent was willing to alter some design-layout aspects in order to provide us with an optimum result. Right up to the day of our concrete pour, Kent allowed us to waver between several color/finish choices before we reached a final selection. He was very patient and understanding with our need to be sure of our finished look. He also made some structural design suggestions which were very beneficial to our patio's long-term integrity. His work crew left our homesite virtually unscathed. I highly recommend Kent and his crew of concrete installers. Great job guys! We love our new patio!

Kent's team arrived on-site, each day - over the course of a week, and performed exactly as I - a structural engineering professional - expected. Excellent attention to detail, and care for our surrounding existing conditions were evident in all their activities. Kent gave us every opportunity to amend our design & patten/color choices - right up to the day of installation. His crew left our home-site with ZERO damaging impact. Will be seeing Kent again soon for additional work. Great job guys!
