I would never call this company again. they seem to start at the highest priced fix first, hoping that it works.
Description of Work: Fridge stopped working. The repair man came in with a flash light and no other tools. He said the compressor felt hot and needed to be replaced. $500 later, the fridge stopped working again.

The Barlup rep showed up a little late, which was annoying since he said he'd call while on his way, BUT - he was very knowledgeable, professional, and clean about his work. For the past couple of months the performance of my dishwasher had been diminishing to the point that I was prepared to buy a new one. In a last ditched effort, I decided to see if the problem was fixable. Indeed it was - the filter needed to be cleaned and the drainage hose was blocked thus resulting in dirty water continuously running through the unit, start to finish. Yuck. The service rep cleaned everything out thoroughly and provided helpful information to me about preventing the same problems in the future. Very reasonable basic service charge and final bill.
Description of Work: Assessed and repaired 5 year old dishwasher that wasn't cleaning dishes.

Water had been settling at the bottom of my fridge for a while and I was scared I needed to replace the whole thing. I called Barlup's and they came out the next day with only a one hour window of arrival. The repairman came into my house looked at the water and knew exactly what was happening. Unfortunately, I had to empty my freezer but he had the drain defrosted in 15 minutes without missing a beat. The whole thing only took 20 minutes from start to finish. He was very professional, nice, and knowledgeable. The price was very fair, as the service call was $59.99 and labor was only 15.00. I would definitely recommend them for appliance repair. I will be calling them again if I have any other problems.
Description of Work: Repaired my refrigerator, which was pooling water at the bottom of the unit.
