Very nice, but quality was lacking. I knew a seam would be present, but it was placed at the bottom of the stairs. This is the first thing I saw when coming down the stairs. Door was taken off and never put back on. Old padding not removed from closet, new carpeting was placed right over. I know this doesn’t seem like a big deal, but I had water damage. So, I wanted old padding taken out. When done, didn’t bother the sweep the carpet. All the little carpet pieces were left behind. Other installers, always cleaned up after themselves.

Great. Geoff arrived at the scheduled time. Worked quickly. Other family members couldn't tell where the repairs were made except that I know where they are. Price was good.

Geoff responded quickly to our call. He brought a few types of carpet for review then suggested I look at samples at General Floor in Bethlehem. It took me a while to select the carpet, but he returned to measure one more time, explained lots of details, then scheduled the install date within a week. He arrived on time with his assistant. Both were very professional and friendly. They installed 2 rooms of carpet, removed, then returned furniture and cleaned up area in about 4 hours. Carpeting is perfect. I was definitely recommend!

I initially selected this individual because of the reviews on Angie's List so I had complete confidence in his work and service. When he first came over to do the work (February 2016) I showed him an area where there had been a wall up previously. The floor was uneven with cement, tiles and wood. I expressed my concern about that and was told that the padding would cover the imperfections up so i agreed to have the work done completely. The padding and carpet did not reduce the issue and in fact the seams starting pulling apart at the end of the carpeting due to constant stress. I spoke with Geoff about that, he came out to my house, at his convenience, and undid the seams so that I could have the floor repaired. The floor was taken care of (August 2016) and I called him to schedule an appointment (again, at his convenience). I received a call back in a very timely manner saying that Geoff would be at my house on Thursday September 8th by 8:30 in the morning. There was NO request or indication of a confirmation call back just "see you Thursday!" I rearranged appointments and meetings to accommodate him as well as cleared the area for him to easily complete the job. The bottom line is I waited an hour for him to show up... i called and finally spoke with Geoff who said that i didn't call to confirm the appointment and that he had another job to go to. I told him that i replayed to voice message to see if I had missed anything and he said he wasn't calling me a liar. He said that he would go home and check his schedule to see when he could "fit me in". He made no attempt to offer an option the same day (this was a 30 minute job) nor did he say i'll be there first thing in the morning. His attitude was basically oh well. I AM NO LESS IMPORTANT THEN ANY OTHER CUSTOMERS. I had to miss and rearrange (again) appointments and commitments through NO fault of my own and now I am so annoyed because I have to find and pay more to have someone come and reseam the carpet (right in the middle of the room) (that shouldn't needed to be repaired in the first place. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. I was truly hoping to be able to write a wonderful review and waited for Geoff to take care of my concerns but ...

Excellent. Geoff arrived exactly when he said he would. His prices and his servce is excellent. Geoff is a real professional. He came in, and he got the job done. He did exactly what was promised. Geoff is a hard worker. There is no standing around with him. He comes in and gets the job done. This is the guy who you want to do your carpet installations! There aren't many people like him anymore. Now that I know him, I will not use anyone else! He is great.

Geoff is a throwback to the days when people did honest work for honest pay. He is truly a carpet expert from every aspect. He's punctual, clean, and honest. His pricing is fair for the quality of the work, which is very high. This is the second project that I have done with him. The first one I bought the carpet through him and it was way less than any of the big box stores for the same carpet. Second time around, I had my own. In both cases, he did a great job. I wouldn't use anyone else.

This is the second time I've used Geoff to do carpet installation. He's great! Forget going with the big box stores. They once tried to sell me several more yards of carpet than I knew I needed and that's when I found Geoff. He takes his measurements the old-school way, and works out exactly how much carpet you'll need. His installation is quick and professional, he's always willing to answer questions or make suggestions, and he goes out of his way to be helpful. The first time I used him I just needed something inexpensive to put in a former rental property before selling it, and I picked one of the reasonable carpets from samples he has that he can bring to your home. This job was for my own home, so I shopped around at a bunch of local carpet stores and bought carpet from Craft Rug Mills. But I thought the pad was too expensive at Craft, so Geoff sourced that for me from General Floors for a much better price, and then went to the trouble of making two separate stops - one in Bethlehem to pick up the pad and another in Allentown to pick up the carpet. Many thanks to him for another job well done!!

Upon contacting Geoff, he came right over to my house and provided me with an estimate on the job. He and his worker came over the exact date and time he was scheduled to come over and installed the new carpet. He was very informative and nice and did a great job. Carpet looks great and it was priced very reasonably. He let me pick out style and color and he installed it. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Geoff again for another project.

As I am preparing to sell my home, I realized the hallway and stairway carpeting would be completely unacceptable to a buyer. The bedroom carpet had been severely damaged by a steam radiator failure. Although this home has been bought and sold several times, no previous owner has ever wanted to tackle the job of replacing the upper stairway carpeting due to its complexity. Not only are there 32 1.5 inch balusters on the 15 steps and a fancy newel post configuration at the bottom, but also 22 of the same balusters running the length of the hallway at the top. I called Jeff Finken and he came out within days to show me carpet samples and estimate the job. I was very pleased with the estimate since I expected it to be much higher based on the amount of work that he needed to do by hand around all those balusters. On the day of his arrival to the job, I had made a mistake and was not properly prepared. Jeff could have turned around and left, but he did not. My son and I pitched in to do what we could to make up for my mistake by taking out as much of the old carpet as we could while Jeff and his helper Alex worked in other areas. I felt very bad about my error since I know tradesmen have schedules to keep, and I kept apologizing, but Jeff never got mad. I commend him highly for treating me with respect and his willingness to work through the problems on a very difficult job. (I know firsthand from taking the carpet off from around those balusters that after awhile it just seems like there is no end to them.) The job took 7 hours to finish which may provide some idea of the effort required. I don't even think they stopped more than 5 minutes to eat lunch. The results are fabulous. I have a beautiful carpeted hall and stairway. The work is top shelf. Jeff and Alex are not only hard workers, but also polite and cheerful to their customers. I highly recommend this business.

Geoff was courteous, prompt, punctual, and professional throughout. I called him on a Thursday and he came out on Saturday with some carpet samples. I made my selection, he put me right on his schedule for about 9 days later, and everything went like clockwork from there. He works with General Floors in Bethlehem and they were able to get the carpet in very quickly, which was important to me for this job. He gave me an arrival window of 8:30-8:45 on the first day of installation, and was there by 8:45. Pretty impressive! The carpet looks great and it was just a much better experience from start to finish than I've had working with Home Depot before. One guy, local carpet store - you just know who to call if there's an issue, not that there will be, in my experience! The carpet looks great, and the overall cost was right in line with what HD was going to charge me for a job done with cheaper-looking carpet.

Geoffrey and a his helper appeared at 9:00 in the morning, right on time, and went right to work after asking a few question. The old carpet came up and was taken out to their van. Carpet padding was neatly laid on the concrete floor and tack strips laid down (the old carpet had been glued down. Next, the new carpet came in and was cut loosely to size and laid neatly in place. The carpet was then stretched into position on the tack strips and final trimmed. They vacuumed the carpet and replaced the furniture they had moved out. There were no problems at all. Geoffrey clearly knows his business- his card says 26 years of experience in this job. The work took about six hours, all told, with both of the men working quickly and efficiently. When they had finished, I couldn't believe that they had done it so quickly. I was a homebuilder myself in the 70s in Nebraska. I know a good job when I see one, and this one was letter-perfect. They (mainly the assistant) hauled all the debris while they were working, so when they were done with the installation, all they had to do was vacuum the new carpet and re-position the furniture, which they did carefully, causing no damage.
