Description of Work: We used Allied Inspection for an investment property in the Hyde Park (Reading) area in which we were interested. Although outside of their general area, Ryan agreed to travel the extra distance to accommodate the need we had. In addition to the home inspection, we had a termite/wood boring insect inspection included in the price. He and his associate were prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and very helpful in the inspection process. We have dealt with inspection companies before, but I must say, Allied Inspection and Ryan were stellar in their work ethic. The inspection went smoothly, the report was promptly delivered to us and he answered any questions we had in a very intelligent and patient manner. We were present during the inspection and he answered any questions we had at that time. Additionally, he offered as a part of his fee a guarantee on his work and a helpful troubleshooting instruction book that explains all the issues that may come up as a homeowner and how to handle them- from appliances to HVAC- help for after a client moves into a home- a great resource for any homeowner. His service covered us from inspection, to guarantee after the closing on the property as well as information to help us years from now regardless of the home type. Very helpful, very good.  + 0 moreFirst of all, he was perfectly on time (tardiness is a pet peeve of mine), he was extremely kind, professional, informative and helpful. He walked us through the entire exterior of the home, interior, basement, and attic. He pointed out safety issues as well as discussing maintainence issues we should be aware of. He also worked with Brock (the septic inspetor) to explain the septic system to me (I've never had one) and the issues that arose with the septic (drain field wasn't draining). Matt took a ton of pictures and explained the entire process as we went through it - he even had our 75pg report ready the very next day. The termite inspector was very prompt and nice. Brock was great discussing the issues with the septic system, potential fixes and issues etc. They were leagues beyone my first experience buying the home I'm currently in. I could not recommend these people more!! Use these guys without doubt or reservation.

I did not shop around so I'm not too sure if their price is competitive however I do know you get what you pay for and we were extremly pleased.

 + -1 moreI first checked out Allied Inspection's website while searching for a home inspector to inspect the home we are buying. Allied's website is professional and gives a lot of detail as to what to expect. Making the appointment was easy over the phone, and I was able to get my appointmet quickly. Our inspector was professional and knowledgeable. He gave us materials and made sure to show us things to ensure we were educated on the home we are going to own. Our inspector took his time and worked until night to complete the inspection. It is a huge home with a carriage house-- he spent 5 hours with us. The report they provide post inspection is easy to use and has many photos and narratives to explain the home and issues within the home. I have had home inspections before, and this one was way more extensive and informative. Overall, I feel confident that Matt, our inspector, and Allied Inspections provide quality service that is worth the price you pay. I will definately recommend them to future homebuyers in the area!
Description of Work: My husband and I recently made an offer on a home to purchase. Allied inspection conducted our home inspection, to include the radon testing. They contract out the termite/pest inspection to an outside company. Allied inspection inspected the inside and outside, top to bottom of the large 1900's victorian home and the carriage house. Our inspector provided us with a lot of great materials and feedback throughout the inspection.

 + -1 moreEverything went very well. Allied was recommended by our Realtor, so that was a good sign from the beginning. Before hiring Allied, I compared them to some other services. While it appeared that Allied did cost a bit more than others, the recommendations we received and the information on Allied's website (especially the example of their report and the copy of the home inspection manual they provide to customers) persuaded me to go with them. It was worth it. Our inspector, Fred, did an outstanding job from start to finish. When we arrived, he was already on site. He very thoroughly and carefully brought us through every aspect of the house. As new homeowners, he took extra time to point out home maintenance tips and show us ways to keep the home in top shape. We were completely satisfied with the work Fred did and we would certainly recommend Allied to anyone looking to buy in the Lehigh Valley.
Description of Work: We hired Allied to perform a home inspection (of a home we intend to purchase). Allied performed standard home inspection services including inspection of exterior, interior, electrical, and other structural features. The home inspection service package that we purchased also included radon and wood infestation inspections, which were either performed or coordinated by Allied.
