Despite having to wait for quite some time to get a salesperson in the store to help me with the quote... the actual purchase and installation went very well. The person who wrote me up for the quote was not familar with the flooring/tile department so it was a little sketchy, But, the next day the contractor from Lowes reached out to me to set up a time to take measurements. He showed up on time and only needed about 5 mins of my time to take the measurements. WIthin 2 days, Lowes contacted me with the quote and I went in to complete the purchase. The gentleman at the store walked me through the purchase and make sure that I understood exactly what I was buying (number of tiles, bags of grout, etc). The following afternoon, the installer called to set up the installation date. He was able to come within 3 days and said the job would only take approx 6 hours to complete. That morning, he arrived approx 15 mins early and set up his tools where I asked him to. He also had NO issue wearing booties over his shoes when inside my home. Having a brand new home with hard wood floors everywhere, I greatly appreciated his willingness to wear the booties. (I've had delivery men scoff at my request for the booties in the past). I let him know I would be upstairs working and to call up if he had any questions. Within 4 hours he called me downstairs to let me know he was finished. He told me to let it cure overnight and gave me some tips for cleaning my glass tiles. He asked several time if I was satisfied before he left. He also let me know that I could take back the extra few tiles and the extra grout to the store for a refund. I honestly wouldn't have tought of that if he hadn't told me. The following afternoon, someone from Lowes called to make sure I was satisfied with the job, asked a few survey questions about the installer then reminded me about the warranty on the work and told me to call with any questions or issues. Overall - it was a very pleasant experience with no major issues.

Waste of time I want my $35 back
Description of Work: Called Lowes in Elverson/Morgantown for an estimate for replacement windows. First off they are the only company left in the world that charges for an estimate. I had to pay $35 for them to come out. The sales woman and the installer came out together and were nice but then we came to the subject of lead. There is a $47 per window charge if lead is found. The installer gave us the doomsday story about lead then proceeded to do a test on the window. Keep in mind my sills and tracks inside the window are all aluminum capped. He pretended to scrape around then after 10 seconds, sure enough you got lead! he says. I went and bought the same test kit he had from the local paint store and came home and tested myself...NO LEAD! I also followed the directions and pried up the aluminum and scaped the paint to the bare wood and rubbed for 30 seconds. To top it all off the next day I come home from work to find that the sales woman had stuck a new proposal in the door saying she forgot to add up some of the windows and to add on $650! Very unprofessional.
