Description of Work: They reinforced a cut floor joist that was making my first floor sag. It had been weighing on me since I bought the place but now it's as good as new. No more squishy floor.

Description of Work: Mark did a major structural repair on my 100 year old house. Upon opening up the ceiling in our living room the sagging balusters on the railing on the second floor was shown to be caused by an undersized beam supporting the weight of the second and third floors. The beams spanning the living room were also not connected properly to the side beam. A beam in the basement was also deflecting down and causing the first floor to sag. Mark proposed a way to fix all the problems and warned it would take approximately three weeks and be very messy to fix. We went ahead with the work and dispite the mess and inconvenience we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Mark's crew Vinnie, Alan, Nick, and Mike completed all the demolition, structural repairs and reconstruction of the affected area as quickly as possible. They installed double engineered lumber beams to properly support the second and third floors, through bolted and pocketed beams that where sistered to the existing beams, and installed a steel header and posts in the basement.They also jacked the house up two inches. After each day the crew spent at least a hour cleaning up the mess. All the subs Mark used were highly qualified and did their jobs efficiently, on time, and on budget. The work was completed and all the walls and ceiling were repaired and primed with final painting up to us to finish. Mark had a cleaning crew scheduled to clean the entire house but after his employee Mike came in and cleaned the plaster dust from every nook and cranny it wasn't necessary and he deducted the cost from our bill. I wouldn't wish our structural problems on anyone but if they happen to you I would not hesitate to call Mark and his crew to fix them. They are knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with.

Description of Work: Installed hardwood floors in 2 rooms, installed new Kitchen appliances, painted 3 rooms and some electrical work.

Description of Work: I called mr grimaldi and explained my issue and that I would like an estimate. He told me he would call me back by the end of the week. I received no call back. I left 2 messages and more then 2 weeks later he calls me back. I explained the situation and told him I have a report of the issue from a structural engineer. He says email me the report and I will call you back. Its been over 2 weeks and no call from mr grimaldi.

Description of Work: Mark Grimaldi contacted me promptly and we scheduled a time for him to come and take a look at my mother's house that had a serious termite infestation.(I was told that there was structural damage).....Anyway, he walked through the house and went underneath the first floor to an unfinished basement.....His visual inspection couldn't have lasted more than half an hour and he estimated the cost to repair the house would be between $50K and $100K.....He left and told me to contact him if I wanted to proceed....Mark was professional and I knew he was experienced, but I felt that he brushed me off and did not offer to send me any type of report...I have since contacted (2) other engineers that took (2) hours each to thoroughly examine the house and got very detailed reports which included photos and recommendations.....I don't doubt Mark's expertise, but his estimate was free, whereas I did pay a small fee for the other (2) inspections and I guess the adage is true...."You get what you pay for"...Despite this, I would recommend Grimaldi Contractors because everyone's situation is different.

Description of Work: Repaired commercial garage; R/R brick facade, R/R 12" concrete Block. Totally handled repair job start to finish including carpentry, grade door repair, painting interior and exterior and R/R siding
