SHEARER'S WELDING

For those who are considering,"Shearers Welding" for some work, please consider the following.I essentially hired Mr Shearer to construct a set of indoor metal railings. He came to my place of residence to discuss my options.He took the measurements,we discussed the style and cost.I ask the approximate completion time.He said a week or so. I then agreed to this.About two weeks later I inquired as to the progress, he replied that he was backed up and that he would require more time. I said that would be acceptable as I was about to embark on a 5 week vacation. After returning from vacation, I again inquired as to the progress. I was told the project was not complete and that he was on vacation.Several weeks later I again inquired and was given more excuses as to the incompletion. Several more inquiries were made to no avail. Finally after THREE months I was able to speak to Mr Shearer. After yet more rationalization, I ask are you going to complete this project? He assured me yes! I ask when? He said Wednesday or Thursday of the following week. I was unable to contact Mr Shearer the following week after numerous attempts. I then went out to his place of business the following Saturday. He greeted me and told me he lost the measurements. No apology, No phone call, No contriteness. Inconclusion, I am unable to comment on Mr Shearer's skills or quality of workmanship, though one would have to conclude they would parallel his substandard unprofessional egregious business ethics and practices.
