We were extremely pleased with all aspects of contracting with Jim's Custom Painting. He inspected the proposed work site and made some excellent recommendations. His quotation was timely and was able to start the job when he said he would Based on the quality of their work and the timeliness to get started, we are definitely going to use him for future painting needs. Jim provided all materials including the paint which was color matched to 2 colors that my wife had selected. They did not use any masking tape etc and the seams between the two shades of the paint were impeccable. The end result was a family room that is conpletely revitalized and looks terrific!

He hasn’t done the work yet. I need to get the drywall done first before he paints. He gave me a lot of suggestions. We are in a very old house. So, I am going to get the drywall done on the ceilings and then contact him to bring in his crew to do the painting. His estimate came within reason. I didn’t know what I was dealing with. I know that I have a lot of cracks in the ceiling because it is the old plaster. He gave me a lot of helpful hands and I did get a call back with the estimate. So basically I am going to contact him after the drywall is done to come in to do the painting. He was good and I liked him. I find all these painters to be very calm and cool. I am not like that at all; I am a go getter. He didn’t spend too much time here, but he spent enough time. He asked all the right questions because there are a lot of cracks on the wall. He asked me if I wanted him to fill them. I have a molding that was up against the wall and I want that down. I have ceiling fans in the middle of the room and he asked if I wanted them to be taken down. I didn’t even think about the electrical part of it. I thought that I had to get an electrician to get them down. He said that he could provide somebody to do that if I didn’t have anybody in mind to take that down. We went over colors and I kind of knew what I wanted. He would come in with colors and we would go over the paint scheme with my husband. I was surprised because I thought I was going to have to go to Lowes or Home Depot to pick up the colors. I have had two other quotes and there was more than a $1000 difference. The other guy didn’t have a crew and did it all by himself. Jim had a crew of three guys to do the job. I am pleased with him and his price. Two rooms had to be painted and one was a very big room with ceilings, walls and trim. There is a lot of trim work. He was pretty quick to come here and was ready to come out the next day. He was here on time. He looked like a painter and he did excuse himself because he was obviously on a job and he just said about it. I always shake hands with somebody and make eye contact and he was good about that. He did hang around. He came in and looked what he had to look at.

Jim arrived on-time for the estimate. He was professional and worked with our needs. He returned approximately 1 week later to do the job with a helper. Workmanship was good, appeared to be high quality. Only drawback was having to go to the paint store to pick out our color, but I really didn't have to go that much out of our way. We felt comfortable leaving the house while he completed the work. He is coming back soon and will be giving us estimates for the rest of our interior painting needs.

Painters arrived on time, were neat, organized and cleaned up the work area. Job was completed on time. Painters friendly and like pets.
