Home Grown ripped me off for my $500 deposit. I have a receipt and cancelled check for the $500 deposit given to Home Grown for a paving project that was to begin last summer. The owner continually pushed back promised start dates to begin the work. Two summers have gone by and nothing was ever started. Now, the owner of Home Grown refuses to do the work and said he is keeping my deposit. I was warned by others in the local community not to hire Home Grown because of major issues with this contractor and deposits being one of them. However, I heard this info too late, I had already given the owner $500 to begin the work. Home Grown should not be on Angie's List and I plan to report Home Grown to the state and Better Business Bureau because of their actions.

Description of Work: Replaced and built retaining walls, side and back,for a driveway replacement. Very detailed cost break down on estimate and final bill. Met with me at me and called me immediately with any concerns while the project was being done. Built to way outlast me. Left sit in excellent condition. Still have small project coming up that they will be doing in the yard. I have no doubt it will be done well. A-1 in my book.
