The work was done very professionally, and it was explained well. They actually arrived sooner than expected and were willing to come back later, but I was able to accommodate the time. The Gutter Helmet is somewhat expensive, but I believe it is worth the price, at least for me. I was having problems with ice sliding off solar panels and damaging the gutters. I believe that this will eliminate that problem as well as eliminate having to remove leaves and debris which is the advertised benefit.

Estimator came out quickly but it took another two months for the work to actually take place, likely because mine was a small job. Also, I had said I wasn't in a hurry. They removed all the siding on one side of the house, installed a window, installed foam (accordion) insulation and then re-installed the old siding. They also replaced several sections of soffit trim along the roof line. The workers were excellent and finished the job in one day when it had been estimated to require 1.5 days. I thought it was expensive but I did want the job done well which it was.

They never contacted me again. I recently had somebody else do the job.

Our house is approximately 20 years old, and was originally constructed with Andersen double hung windows. They had performed very well over the years. However my wife wanted a tilt-in cleaning feature that was not available on Andersen windows 20 years ago. We researched several replacement window types and contractors to get the tilt-in feature while still maintaining good energy efficiency and aesthetic quality. Century Spouting/Home Improvements was the one contractor who listened to our needs and suggested an Andersen window replacement/upgrade program. This approach provided all the features we desired and entailed much less disruption to our house and was less expensive than purchasing and installing an entire window frame, track and sash. Therefore, due to the salesman listening to our needs and proposing an optimal solution, we selected Century to provide and install the Andersen upgrade units. The team that did the installation did a very good job. The materials used were good, and the carpenters were careful and conscientious. My wife was quite happy that the only work we needed to do as part of the installation was to take down curtains, and move furniture out of the way. There however was one shortcoming I found in working with Century. The hand off from sales to installation could have been handled better. We had settled on a target start date with the salesman (assuming 6 week lead time) and that start date was missed by 3 weeks. The cause of the slip might very well have been Andersen (the material supplier). However my feeling is that Century could have been more pro active in trying to keep the original promise date, and been better at communicating the slip with us when it did occur. In summary, we found Century to be an honest company to deal with and their work was very good. They deserve a B+. We will likely ask them to bid on our future residing work. However I think their project coordination and communication with the customer could be improved.

I was told it would cost $250 to get someone to give me an estimate which I find ridiculous! I told them I had to get an estimate for insurance purposes and they said this is their policy. I will not ever use this company.

I was told that the repairs would be done in about 2 weeks but they had an opening that same week so the whole project was completed in 3 days. The two man crew replace the one damaged spouting from last winter's snow and ice. I was also having problems with water running behind all my spouting so they came up with a plan to add another piece of aluminum (in the same color) that channels all water off the roof into the spouting. This worked extremely well and corrected my problem.

They were great. They quoted me a price and they stayed right with the price. They were professional. They were on-time. I told them that it did not matter when they would put them on. He said that they will call. He did and they were there the next day.

The used two different crews a roofing crew performed first followed by the gutter crew. Both of the crews' work was performed efficiently and neatly. There were a few scattered roofing nails and gutter straps found around the house, but they removed most of the debris from the roof and old gutters. I was on vacation at the time but they communicated well with my house sitter and with my friend who checked on their work. (he has extensive home repair experience). He remarked on the quality of their roofing work. The salesman was very patient and held the bid beyond the stated limit on the contract (due to delays in processing my home equity loan). I would definitely recommend them.

They have done work for us twice. We've had very good luck with Century Spouting. Their pricing was very fair.

I invited Century Spouting Co., and three other companies, to my home to offer me written estimates for the replacement of my existing metal roof; my roof had leaked in at least two places after a period of very heavy rain a week or so before I called them. Jim M was given this job and I was somewhat familiar with Jim as he and his company had installed a new roof and new siding for me when I lived in Harrisburg. Jim arrived on time and went to work right away, and within a half-hour or so we were discussing his written proposal. To my uneducated eyes, I thought the estimate was 'high', even after Jim applied a salesmans 25% discount to the job. Jim was my first appointment of the four I'd invited to my home, so, I wanted to wait until I received all four estimates before choosing a contractor. What I was not comfortable with is the way Century's estimate was prepared. Jim, I believe, is a salesman for the company and in my mind I wanted to speak to an actual job foreman or someone who has had 'hands-on' experience in replacing roofs; the materials needed, all the little incidentals that when compiled together would amount to a finished roof. My estimate was very generic, and although I specified beforehand I wanted GAF architectural shingles and all the GAF components the GAF company requires to warrant a 'lifetime guaranteed roof', the written proposal failed to specify any of those GAF products at all. This was a disappointment to me, and, frankly, I was not willing to entrust that these components would be and quot;rememberedand quot; by Century's workers outside the four corners of the written estimate. A couple weeks later I had all four written estimates in-hand, and based on what I believed was a high estimate by Century, the non-specificity of the components I wanted to buy, that they were not included in the written estimate, and the generally 'generic' nature of the estimate, I chose to hire a different roofing company.

Took three weeks to begin. Was warned this may be the case. Completed garage in three days. Did main house repairs in a half day. Outstanding workmanship. Very polite and professional employees. Roofers did excellent work. Did all clean up.

I have had a pretty good experience with them. I just had a few problems with the work they did and they sent a man in and he fixed it.

Century Spouting Co Inc. gave us an expensive quote. Their quote process was okay. It wasn't particularly good. I didn't like that he was a salesperson, as opposed to someone who was actually going to work on the roof. It was a fine process. There wasn't anything exceptional about it. I would prefer to talk to someone who will be there while the work is done. They were a bit high that they probably need to pay their salesman.

I have nothing but good things to say about Century Home Improvements. They arrived early to work each day, and cleaned up every night before they left. The crew was very professional, hardworking, and a pleasure to work with. Definitely would use them again!

Over the years every time we have had storm damage to our siding, or soffit, or flashing we call Century Spouting. They are always friendly, helpful, fast, fairly priced, and do good work. They have done repair work around our exterior doors as well. I definitely highly recommend them.

The job went very well. It took them a few days to do the job and they did it well. We would recommend them. They cleaned up afterwards. They stuck to the estimate and there were no surprises. They called ahead and showed up when they said. They did everything they said they would and everything looks good. They kept in touch and let me know what was going on. They said they had a special going on and it made it worth doing the job. They had to put a little plywood on. I called the salesman once or twice and got return calls very quickly. Some of the guys actually showed up when I didn't know they were coming which was okay because I didn't have to be home.
