I recommend them. I had all the windows replaced in my house and it was phenomenal. I would use their services again in the future.

Our house had the original windows from 1920, and they were in bad shape. Leaking air, poor energy efficiency, letting a lots of outside noise in. We had insulated the house at the start of the year, and while the house was somewhat more comfortable, our heating prices didn't drop as much as we had hoped, and we suspected the windows. Our first pass was to call about a dozen companies, and we noticed that every company we called offered the same three or four brands, with wildly different prices and descriptions of installation. I started digging into window reviews online, and discovered that many folks online spoke highly of Gorrell windows. What's more, the windows are made just an hour or three outside Pittsburgh! I decided to take another pass, and try to find someone offering Gorrell windows. Advanced Window & Door came up in online searches as offering Gorrell windows here in Pittsburgh, so I called them up and scheduled an estimate. Jim made an excellent impression with the initial estimate - he showed up punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, and taking time to discuss and demonstrate the windows we were discussing. I was very impressed with the Gorrell windows - the manufacturing quality appears significantly better, and the warranty stands head and shoulders above the offerings from other manufacturers in the same range. When I asked Jim about features such as triple-pane windows or upgraded latches, he gave honest suggestions (triple-pane was overkill, upgraded latches are nice without costing much.) By the time he left I was impressed - and even moreso when I got the actual estimate. The price fell within the competitive range from other contractors, and given the quality of installation and product presented, it was an easy choice. Before installation came the final measurement of windows for ordering, and again we were pleasantly surprised. Steve, one of the owners of the company, showed up with Jim to perform the final measurements. As we went through the house measuring windows, Jim noted we had requested slider windows in the basement to save some money, and thought we might save more with double-hung windows given the size of the windows. Jim and Steve worked quickly and efficiently as a team, knocking out the measurements quickly and (as we have since confirmed) accurately. They gave me an estimate of how long it would take to receive the windows from Gorrell, and let me know they'd call once the windows arrived, and schedule installation. Sure enough, they kept their word, and called on time to schedule the installation. The installation crew showed up on the expected day, and got to work installing windows. They asked if we had a preferred order for installing the windows, and earned bonus points noticing we have cats and mentioning they'd keep an eye out for their escape attempts. The windows went in over three days, with Steve present and working alongside his employees every day. The work they did was phenomenal - the windows were installed at a good pace, but most importantly were installed well. They took care to square the windows up, insulate them well, inject non-expanding foam to seal any voids, and then caulk the windows firmly in place. On the outside, the windows were injected with non-expanding foam (from the other side), caulked into place, and wrapped with aluminum. They checked with me as major steps of the window installation were completed, to make sure I was satisfied with their work, and were more than happy to make any adjustments to ensure the windows turned out the way I wanted. Sure enough, everything turned out better than we could have hoped for - the windows look great, and the house is not only more comfortable, but our energy costs have dropped by almost half. I can't recommend them enough!

He is a very good professional worker. His prices are very competitive. He went out of his way to give me all the choices. He basically told me he would get me anything I wanted. He met all the promises he made to me. We are extremely happy with the work.

Installers were very nice, professional and cleaned up when they were done, actually the house was cleaner after they were done.

They were excellent. The workmanship, how they cleaned up after themselves and how they interacted with my family that was there - everything was great. I had a problem with the windows themselves, it was a manufacturer issue and not the company's fault. The manufacturer worked with us to resolve the issue, it wasn't really Advanced Windows responsibility.

Steve was prompt in coming to appointments. I was undecided as to which window model I wanted, and he gave me three estimates. He was very clear about what he planned to do. Once the windows arrived, we set up an installation date that fit my schedule. The crew arrived right on time. Steve said I should allow a day and a half for the work. In fact, four men had the job done in six hours! The crew was polite and professional. They got right to work. The work was neatly done. Steve is someone I felt comfortable working with. The only problem I had was reaching someone at the office by phone. I left messages and it took a while to get a response. I almost went with someone else, but I am so glad I stayed with Steve! The windows look great and the price was certainly right!
