Rick from Pop-a-Lock squeezed me into his busy holiday weekend schedule to rekey several locks. He was punctual, friendly, professional, and efficient. All locks were rekeyed in about an hour and work perfectly. Would absolutely hire Pop-a-Lock again!

Very well. The locksmith arrived within 3 hours of my calling the office. He was polite, professional and very helpful regarding questions that I had for his service. He only took about an hour to complete the service and it was done to my satisfaction.

The tech (franchise owner) was newer to locksmithing, so it took him a little longer to get the job done, but he was professional, friendly, and willing to share his knowledge.

Success. I suspected the reason my car would not start was associated with the Theft Deterrent System which included a resistance compatibility involving the transponder chip embedded in my key. TJ, the technician, arrived at the previously agreed to time. He was professional and very friendly. After I gave him some history on the problem and what I had done on my own to narrow the issue down he went straight to work. He researched the chip key code that matched my specific Theft Deterrent System and cut an new key and programmed it. It was done in under an hour. When the car started with the turn of the key it was music to my ears. And the cost was even a bit under what was estimated. I was very pleased.

Service was outstanding! Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Price was reasonable as well. The job was done neatly, courteously, and on time. We are very grateful to have found this firm and will continue using their services for the long term, in addition to recommending them to our family and friends.

It took several trips to get all of the correct parts in hand, but overall, Rick did a good job and we were pleased with the result and the price.

I am so pleased with the work Pop-A-Lock did at our home. I meant to write a review back in the summer and simply didn't take the time. They were able to handle everything as per the $89 Big Deal we purchased and also the auto keys, which was the most impressive. The key for the Hyundai is an inverted laser cut key, and it takes expensive equipment to properly cut it, and extensive knowledge of newer auto key technology to properly program it and not lock the owner out permanently. The gentleman who serviced our home and vehicles was very professional and just a nice, down-to-earth guy, which is what we want. By the time he left, I felt like we knew him for years. I recommend Pop-A-Lock Pittsburgh to anyone needing lock work done at their home in a punctual, professional, quick, and complete fashion. I hope others find the same experience we did.

Everything went great. He came right on time, was able to rekey the locks very quickly and make me 3 additional keys.

The doorknob broke over the Thanksgiving weekend rendering the door unusable. I knew the next thing to do was to search Angie's List for a locksmith. I saw the big deal for pop-a-lock and called them. Carly promptly answered the phone, listened to my dilemma and told me a locksmith would call to schedule the service. The locksmith, John, arrived on time as scheduled, assessed the work to be done and got to it. He worked efficiently, was polite and professional. I would recommend this provider and call them again if needed.

Our experience with them was okay. We ended up paying a bit more because the Deal was like for four locks. There were a few locks in the house that were different. I ended up telling him to change all the locks and it ended up more than four. They came out two days later after I bought the Deal. I think they were pretty quick and professional is the good part of it. The down part of it is that the materials that they had used were not as good of a quality as I wanted.

The serviceman arrived when expected. The old lock actually turned two different locks, depending upon which way the key was turned. It was a tedious process, but he was very professional. He replaced the cylinder. He cleaned and lubricated the insides of the lock. He made the lock work with our existing keys. We found this provider in the Angie's List monthly booklet. We received a 20% discount as members of Angie's List.

If you've ever experienced that sinking feeling of being locked out of your house on a weekend morning, then you'll immediately relate to the relief we felt when Brian and John from Pop-A-Lock quickly answered our call for help. The job turned out to be more complicated than they originally thought, but they didn't rush or become annoyed. Brian and John were thoroughly professional, pleasant and trustworthy. Plus, the rate, which included rekeying, was fair. We called three companies for bids and an expected arrival time. Pop-A-Lock was the most responsive. One company called us after Brian and John had left.

I had a home renovation project go wrong, and I couldn't get new lock hardware to go onto the door. I called Pop A Lock and someone was there to assist me in 30 minutes. Drilled holes into my door, put new lock and handle on, and made it sure it was done to my liking. All within 20 minutes!! It would of taken me hours to maybe attempt it!

Great! They changed the locks on a new house I just bought - front and back doors. They did the doorknobs, as well as a deadbolts. I got extra keys too! They offered to do all the same lock, so I would only need one key, but with a preteen who would have a key (and I'm anticipating losing it, sorry to say), I asked for two different locks. That way, when I need to change the locks someday, due to a lost key, I won't have to change them all! He was very understanding and did as I asked. He was also very punctual and proffessional. The job was very easy to schedule as well. I would definitely use this company again!!

On Monday, May 12, 2014, Dave Seese (the owner of the Pittsburgh Pop-A-Lock) came to my home to look over the job I had in mind. He was very knowledgeable and went over all the different options that were available to me. I mainly wanted to be able to get into the house without having to fumble with a key all the time. But I also wanted the house to be secure. I had purchased two locks that I had initially wanted him to install, but he directed me to a YouTube video showing how to break into a house that had these particular locks installed. Eye opening, to say the least! After my numerous questions, which he very thoroughly and patiently answered, he said that he would send me an email estimate. By Wednesday, May 14, I had the estimate. It was expensive, but he was giving me, if not top-of-the-line, the second runner-up in lock security. I gave a "B" on cost because, well, is anyone ever happy with what things cost? I'm a little embarrassed to admit that one of the locks is probably worth more than the door it is on, but that is another home improvement project for another time! I called Dave that night, and he scheduled the job for Saturday, May 17. Right on time, they arrived to do the job. Actually, Brian called first to let me know they were on their way. They got right on the job, and I guess the job took about 4 hours. The front door had to be drilled for a new installation of the dead bolt, but the other 4 installs went perfectly. Dave rekeyed all the locks to accept the same key, and Brian spent probably another half-hour (at least) showing me how to program each keypad on each lock. I have left Dave with the task of researching what types of lock I can have installed on my fence gates to secure the property better, but allow access by the lawn mower man. I guess I am just trying to make the property more "smart". Dave did tell me that some locks can be opened using your Smart Phone! Imagine that! I love technology, and I am really pleased with Pop-A-Lock. I highly recommend them.

Brian was wonderful! He was professional and so helpful. We had deadbolts added to two of our doors. He explained everything to me and helped me to figure out what would be best for our needs. I would highly recommend Pop A Lock!
