+ -1 moreMike is a true professional. He has been doing this kind of work for a number of years and it was obvious he knew his work once he began. He works with one other employee and both of them were diligent in starting and completing the work. I built the original wall and it took me about 2 months, and it the end it was a work I would not ever do again by myself, considering the engineering required and the liftng of blocks.

Description of Work: Mike and his crew replaced 80-feet of a dilapidated concrete wall with versa lock. Dug proper drainage and magically repaired a retaining wall in the backyard to avoid extra replacement costs.

+ 0 moreMike Normile is an outstanding contractor and I strongly recommend him. The concrete and landscaping work that Mike Normile did here at my home is excellent and has really changed and improved the exterior appearance of my home. He also did extra things free of charge. Everyone who has surveyed the completed job has remarked about its excellence. Mike and his crew showed up on time, worked hard, and were trustworthy and professional. The total project took longer than expected because of weather delays. Mike was always available in the evening to discuss the progress of the work. I was also able to contact Mike after the job was completed and paid for and he came back and did a few little things. This was a big project that I put off doing for at least ten years. It was expensive but well worth the money. I am glad that I finally went ahead and got this work done. Mike Normile is probably the best contractor I have ever contracted with in the 21 years that I have lived here.
Description of Work: 1. Install new concrete driveway--approx. 1,800 sq. ft. requiring 40 yards of concrete; 5 inches thick 2. Install new front sidewalk --41 ft. long x 40 in. wide 3. Backyard work--removal of two old wooden walls and proper grading of hillside 4. Repair existing concrete patio under deck. 5. Power wash with sand existing versa lock wall and reset some blocks. 6. Topsoil, seed, manure around concrete work. 7. Cut and place 35 sq. yds. of sod. 8. Landscape hillside: spread topsoil, spread mulch, plant pachysandra, reset stone steps. 9. Other misc. small jobs, repairs, etc. 10. Clean-up and haul away all debris.

+ -1 moreThe existing wall at the top of the driveway was no longer holding back the hillside going into the back yard. Contractor took out existing wall, dug out part of the hillside, and installed a proper wall and stairs. They were very friendly and professional from start to finish. They did an excellent job.
Description of Work: Replaced existing driveway wall with a new 16 foot versa lok wall and installed stairs in middle of wall from driveway to back yard.
