Pierce was great! He is extremely responsive (phone, text, or e-mail). He laid out exactly what our options were and the pricing for each one. It was easy to consider options and make a final decision. He continued to be responsive to questions even after the work was completed. I would recommend his company and hire him again. We already have additional work planned for the spring.

Pierce and his team did amazing work. First off, if you are frustrated with all the people that don't call you back and disappear into the black abyss, consider Pierce your savior. This man was/is, *always* was in constant communication. I was never chasing him or his team down, ever, despite the uphill battle we faced rebuilding our landscape this past summer with all the rain. Pierce and his team went above and beyond to track down the very specific and unique plants that I wanted. He sent me PHOTOS of the ACTUAL plant to approve or decline prior to purchase. We purchased over 100+ plants for our rebuild. We also had his team redo walkways/hardscaping into the house. He always gives the High, Medium, Low options for specs and pricing. Our hardscape looks beautiful and fits perfectly with the "look" of the house. Also, when in doubt, do the landscape lighting. My husband was very hesitant to spend the money, but has zero regrets, and that's really saying something. Not only does it make the house look beautiful at night, I'm extremely pleased with the security it adds to the home & property. No more dark nooks in the corners by windows, and it's done complementing your house instead of the jail yard "spotlight" look. Pierce and his team adjusted the lights to ensure they wouldn't shine in through windows and disrupt sleep. They are set and forget and operate dusk to dawn. So when in doubt, do the lights. Pierce & Team will be back this spring/summer for more projects. I highly recommend.

Pierce and his workers came out in full full force to remove debris from past projects. Our yard had looked like a mess of five different people’s projects. Pierce had a vision for creating an area against our house that had a better visual flow. He answered all of my questions and relayed information in timely manner. We would highly recommend is company.

Beautifully. Pierce and his team are extremely professional, thoughtful and customer focused. They are a full service team and made many great recommendations as we were deciding how best to move forward. Because they have been doing this for a long time and have a good eye and pay attention to detail, the finished product was fantastic. They are not inexpensive - however, the quality of their work shows and we have not had anyone make our property look as good as Pierce and his team. We recommend them without reservation.

As you can tell from our ratings, it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Choosing the plants was fun. Pierce took the time to meet with us more than once, oversaw the job, all within a week. The staff was sooooooooooooooooooo easy to work with. The work is fabulous and the areas were expertly cleaned up after the plants were in. I keep looking out the window/door to admire it. We would definitely call Pierce L. Shallit Landscaping and Design in the future and will recommend their professional services to our neighbors and friends.

This was a fairly extensive project. My backyard was nothing but weeds and rocks and dirt, in pits and valleys. I wanted a green lawn, and different levels, separated by a wall. I picked Pierce because he was well reviewed, and he didn’t try to upsell me. “You don’t need a retaining wall” he said, just stairs. When I was considering mulch rather than seed he said a similar thing “I don’t even think mulch will work with all the thistle you have.” I found Pierce to be very knowledgeable in addressing issues that came up throughout the project, and very efficient. I checked him on the cost of each phase of the project, and I always found his number reasonable. He is a bit of a perfectionist - he wants things done the right way. But the result has been worth it. I now have a beautiful lawn and steps where before there was nothing. He has even followed up with me several times since to check on how the lawn is progressing. I am very satisfied.

I have used a lot of contractors ove the years, almost all from the recommendations of Angie's List. I have never had anything but positive experiences. This was the third time I have called Pierce Shallis, having found him on Angie's List this past summer. This company is on a level all their own when it comes to professionalism, from Pierce and Heather and Cody to everyone else on their team. I called them for a large job invoving the tearing out of a lot of large very overgrown gardens, planting of deer resistant shrubs and trees, restacking stone walls, landscape fabric, pine straw mulching as well as resolving a multitude of drainage issues. Pierce and Cody are the utmost professionals. If you have a vision they will make it a reality. If you don't have a vision they are amazing at designing a beautiful landscape that is right for you. They gave me so many good ideas, and answered my many questions in an incredibly timely manner! Their entire team is dedicated to the job being done just right and on time. Pierce and Cody were here through the whole process. They are meticulous, right down to the smallest of details. The end result was even more beautiful than I had imagined! I am already looking forward to the next job I have scheduled with them.

Pierce is polite, on-time, and did not try to up-sell me or change my ideas about what I wanted. His crew is wonderful, and his office staff is professional and prompt. Pierce has provided guidance since the planting for ongoing watering.

We needed to stop our mulch from getting washed away by rain. We also needed an overgrown shrub removed and a large pile of branches taken from the property . The guys did a great job of installing river rock in key locations. They also improved the aesthetics of the property by removing the shrub and pile of cut branches. Even with a busy schedule, Pierce accommodated our short-notice request for the river rock installation before the expected rain from the remnants of Hurricane Florence.

From beginning to end, Pierce made the process smooth and simple. Pierce replied to our email inquiry within 2 hours and quickly set up a same day consult. During the consult, Pierce was able to answer all of our questions, provide design recommendations, offer valuable advice, and make sure that our landscaping vision became a reality. Within 2 days of the consult our yard was looking unbelievable. The entire team was professional and accommodating, they managed to get everything done in a day's work. We will 100% be recommending Pierce L. Shallis Landscaping & Design to fiends and family and we look forward to our next project with them.

I contacted Pierce L. Shallis Landscaping through Angie's list to get a quote for landscaping services. Heather was quick to respond and set-up an appointment to provide an estimate. Within a few hours I had an estimate and they were able to schedule me the following week. The team showed up as scheduled and completed all of the work in one day. I was very pleased with the final product. (see attached photos) and will use them in the future for other landscaping projects.

This is the third or fourth time i’ve used Pierce and his team and it will not be the last. Pierce, Cody and the rest of the team are direct, trustworthy, hard working and simply provide prompt, superior services for a reasonable price. There are no surprises and Pierce and team stand by the quality of their work. I’m not sure what else you could ask for!

The work was completed professionally and the property around them was clean and neat. The large steps were quite heavy requiring three men to lift them and put them in place. There were a total of eleven steps.

Pierce Shallis Landscaping tamed an out of control yard. As promised, a squad of workers showed up and took back parts of our yard that was wild (including poison ivy) and in need of attention. Also fixed paver walkway and patio that was in bad shape. Appreciated the professionalism of the entire operation. Great job!

Excellent, unrecognizable from before to after...

Extremely well. Pierce and crew were able to come and complete the job in about 4 hours. The results are fantastic. We had major drainage issues in our back yard. The team installed a dry well and we have since experience no issues! Highly recommend for future business.
