Pierce Shallis was responsive to our request for a quote for the work. He came out and looked at the job and had a quote to us by the end of the day. He was also willing to work with our budget and gave a us good deal. He did the work the very next day and it looks really great -- very pleased with the result and how meticulous his crew was with the yard and clean up. We would highly recommend him and plan to use him again for other landscaping needs.

We decided to go with another company, but were very pleased with Pierce's responsiveness and punctuality. Pierce is very professional. He was prompted for the estimate and listen to all of my concerns and answered my questions. I received the estimate within the promised time frame. The estimate was very detailed. I understood what each charge would be and how it would be applied to our service. The completed work was as expected. He even removed two small nuisance bushes free of charge. While Pierce was not the cheapest estimate, his professionalism and detail made him a good choice for us. He accepts American Express as payment which is also a plus. I will use Pierce Shallis again.

The email communication was good and it was easy to schedule an appointment, but unfortunately I am too busy to work with contractors that don't communicate if there is a change in their schedule.

Everything went perfectly--as it always does with Pierce. I have been using Pierce for several years now, and I admire the way he has developed an excellent sense of my tastes and desires for my landscaping. He has an intuitive understanding of what I will like and he gets it right 100% of the time. I also appreciate Pierce's educational background. He isn't one of those guys who just mows lawns and can plan a few shrubs here and there. He has the educational background to understand the science of plants and soil, and he has an eye for design that makes everything look great. This is not a combination that is easy to find. In terms of his talents as a businessman: he shows up when he says he will; he responds to emails and phone calls the same day; he makes personal visits to follow-up on work/planting to make sure everything is right; and he is always a delight to speak with and to work with. In sum, Pierce's work has been transformational for my home; in just a short time, he has taken my landscaping from worn and marginal to a visual delight. I have lost count of the number of people who have complimented the way my landscaping now looks.

Pierce was very good about scheduling and keeping in touch if the schedule changed as a result of rain. I would highly recommend Pierce.

Pierce and his crew always go above and beyond to make a customer happy. We have been using Pierce for a few years for lawn service. This year, we put in a veggie garden box with chicken wire surrounding it to keep out the bunnies, but with space on the inside to walk around. Pierce's crew has not only meticulously trimming around the outside of the chicken wire, but also the inside as well. We never asked them to do this, they just did. Pierce's team has done a great job maintaining our lawn. The work is immaculate, and most times, it's hard to even realize that they had come and gone (other than the grass having been mowed). Never a blade of grass or debris found on the driveway or sidewalks. Pierce has always been professional and courteous in our interactions, and goes out of his way to explain their services. Pierce was incredibly professional and patient. We had dozens of questions and took quite awhile to make our decision. Pierce answered each question thoroughly and never pressured us to decide sooner than we were ready. His quote was among the best of the seven we received on the project. The work was completed less than a week ago, but so far it seems to be solving the problem. I'd absolutely use Pierce Shallis again for any landscaping project.

Pierce, the owner is very courteous and prompt in his response to my inquiries. I had called four other companies for estimates for Spring clean up and landscape maintenance. He came out that very day and we walked the acre and quarter yard. I came up with things that needed to be done around the house. His quote was reasonable and he had emailed me the written quote by the end of the week like he had stated. No hidden charges. What impressed me most, is that he responds to my inquiries and is easily reachable. Not like our previous landscape service. The work was done in a timely manner. His crew is hard working and courteous as well. One of the supervisor noticed a dead juniper while doing the spring clean up and pulled up the dead plant and asked if we would like it replaced. I had forgotten about the plant. They even threw down some grass seeds over a bare patch of dirt that had been damaged when the sewer guys dug up the lawn and never came back to replace the grass they destroyed. I like the initiative they took. The landscape around our house looks amazing. These guys do a wonderful job. They even clean up after themselves. I would recommend them to my neighbor without any reservations - and I have!

We bought a house Christmas 2012 where the previous owners loved to garden and spent all of their weekends outside. As working parents of two toddlers, we just didn't have the time to care for this ourselves and we didn't know where to start with things like trimming Japanese maples. By the fall of 2013, we noticed the bushes were starting to grow past our windows and look like they were taking over the place. We needed help. We had several estimates from landscapers and Pierce was impressive. He walked through and was incredibly knowledgeable. He said he could trim everything back significantly and have it still look great. He had his detailed proposal to us quickly and he took the time to follow up with us. Great customer service! Even though he was a little more than the other landscapers, we decided to go with a clearly superior choice. They came over for the manicuring project, a fall cleanup, mulching and doing one last lawn cutting. They arrived promptly that morning and started to work right away. My husband worked from home and emailed halfway through the day "Why didn't we do this sooner???" When I arrived home that night, it had such a wow factor. I spent 30 minutes just walking around and marveling that this was our house. Overgrown bushes that we thought would have to be pulled were trimmed back to half their size and looked wonderful. With the winter we had, all of that hard work was mostly buried under feet of snow and we wondered how it would look in the spring. Now that we can see it again, we are still impressed. We are signing up for the weekly lawn care and happily will leave our yard in Pierce's capable hands from now on.

The job went well. Pierce and his team did a great job removing all leaves and seasonal debris from our property. We were pleased to see that he also trimmed back a few shrubs, which was not in the original estimate. We will definitely contact Pierce again for any of landscaping needs.

He is an A plus worker. He does a good job. He is very professional. He is on time and has a perfect workmanship.

Pierce is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He provided a detailed estimate and worked with us to make changes to the scope of work as needed. He made very helpful suggestions on plant placement. The work was done exactly as promised. In fact, he removed all of the leaves in the yard at no additional charge. The cost was very reasonable and a discount was offered for payment in cash. We would recommend Pierce without reservation.

He did come out to look at my yard and give an estimate and he seemed knowledgeable in his field. However his prices were ridiculously high and I would not recommend to anyone else.

Price above was weekly. Pierce quickly responded to my original query and came by the next day for an estimate. He was the most responsive of any service I investigated while looking for lawn care. His team came the next day and did a great job for the next few months. I was selling my house and had already moved out; his team did a great job keeping my property presentable. I only discontinued service with him because I sold the house; I would've gladly kept him on otherwise.

It went extremely well! The tree was removed and all the debris was taken away. The trees were planted where we discussed and Pierce followed up with care instructions via email. His responsiveness and consideration of the aftercare was beyond our expectations. We have worked with Pierce in the past as well and would recommend him to anyone!

Pierce contacted me right away and scheduled an appointment to come out and give an estimate. During the appointment, he walked around my property with me, learned about what I wanted done and pointed out additional services that they could perform for me. He was able to provide a high level quote on the spot and followed up with a quote in writing that evening. Upon accepting the quote, work was scheduled right away! Everything was done in one visit (other than the weekly management of course) and it looks awesome.

They responded promptly and came to give the estimate within a reasonable time frame. They were a little bit higher than another landscaping company. They seemed to be a little on the higher end.
