Pierce and his team did an amazing job. He was very good about finishing everything on time and the price was very reasonable. Im also very thankful that he explained everything that he was going to do in full detail. This is definitely someone who I would want to hire again.

Pierce L. Shallis Landscaping & Design did a fantastic job! They first removed the ivy vines, then dug out the ivy roots, so that it will not grow back. They trimmed the trees and removed all debris nicely. They cleaned even a little bit farther than what they had to! After that, they added some topsoil, graded the area and spread the grass seeds and straw. They cleaned up after themselves very well, and they were overall very professional! The price was very reasonable. I am very happy with the results and would highly recommend them!!

The installation was fast and professionally completed. The whole process went smoothly, and Pierce and his crew were attentive to the task, and the took care to make sure that the installation of the boxwoods and completion of the project were done in a timely manner. Pierce and Heather (along with Cody and their entire team) were prompt, professional and delivered high quality service at a reasonable price. In the end, they ended up edging and mulching a greater area than I requested, and they showed great flexibility as a result of some small surprises associated with removal of the stone wall. Extremely well and better than expected. I love the way the front of my house looks and everyone can't believe how dramatic the improvement is.

I did do business with them. They were very good. I would give them a good rating; in fact I meant to. The bill was for $6,000 but he gave me a 10% Angie's List discount, so I paid $5,400. I did price a couple of other companies and I think they were the most reasonable. They were extremely prompt and efficient. They were very punctual and called back instantly. In fact, I had a call-back this Spring where they came out and did a little bit of weeding for free. I would use them again and I would recommend them to friends and family.

Several years after buying our home, we were looking for someone who could help us transform a series of high maintenance flowerbeds, overgrown shrubs, and ground cover into an attractive yard that would be easier for our family to maintain. Based largely on positive reviews, we met with Pierce in Fall 2015 to discuss potential options. He very patiently listened to our needs and made suggestions on how we could arrive at that goal. Last summer, Pierce, Cody, and his professional and courteous team spent several days working on our property and did a phenomenal job. They removed overgrown shrubs and ground cover, removed flowerbeds with stone liners, added topsoil and reseeded with grass, built a berm with plantings along the driveway, and added skip laurels for privacy. They also patiently worked with us to identify perennials that would add some color and curb appeal without requiring a lot of maintenance and refreshed our existing flowerbeds. We are thrilled with the new look! This Spring, we asked Pierce to return to address some pre-existing yard drainage issues (replacing an insufficient catch basin and blocked pipe) and add new drainage adjacent to the berm. Pierce and Cody suggested several options along with pros and cons, and we settled on one. They just completed the drainage work, which required some exploratory digging, and did an excellent job throughout. At our request, they also added a flowering vine, mulched and edged the flowerbeds, added a few more skip laurels and an arbor vitae, and dethatched and reseeded the entire lawn. I would highly recommend Pierce L. Shallis for your landscaping needs. We have been very pleased with their services and will continue to use them without hesitation in the future.

Fantastic. We're very pleased with the outcome. Pierce and Cody were punctual, professional and amazingly responsive via telephone and email. Their advice on the garden layout and options for the driveway were just right (we actually used their designs as the template to get other quotes). On the day a team of well dressed and courteous lads arrived in very shiny and well decked out trucks with Cody onsite to coordinate and the garden was left clean and tidy on completion. Pierce was also onsite during the day in parts to oversee the project. A little more expensive than the other quotes we got but Pierce was willing to negotiate and the outcome was worth a few extra dollars. Thanks guys!

Pierce was extremely prompt in coming out and getting an estimate to me. He understood and carried out exactly what I wanted and was able to give advice and suggestions as well when asked. The team came out and finished all of the work in one day. It looks beautiful and exceeded my expectations.

This review is a continuation of many years of positive experiences with Pierce Shallis Landscaping. As has been tradition with Pierce, everything went perfectly well once again this spring. Pierce communicated well, responded quickly to a question I had just prior to my scheduled date for services (I emailed him at 6:35 p.m. and had a response at 6:37 p.m.), provided services when promised, and did a great job overall. He has a terrific eye for detail, which makes his work and results look particularly sharp. I also have a strong eye for detail, so Pierce and I are a perfect match in this regard. Perhaps best of all, Pierce is just a heck of a nice guy to work with--consistently so. I always feel that my happiness is a genuine priority for him, and I appreciate that he cares as much about my property as I do. I'm also very impressed with the quality of materials he uses. We received two inches of hard rain this weekend, and the mulch he installed did not fade at all. It looks as fresh and as new now as when installed. I'm very impressed by this.

This is the 2nd time I've used Pierce. We contacted him again because of the great job he and his crew did when we hired them last summer. This time we asked for an estimate to do the mulching, stone removal and planting. I ended up doing the planting myself to save a couple hundred bucks, but used Pierce for the mulching and stone removal. Pierce is HIGHLY RESPONSIVE. Cannot overstate my appreciation for this as it is hard to find with contractors. I got an estimate the same day he came out, booked him the next day and he kept me posted with updates on when he'd be able to perform the work (weather was terrible and made it hard to schedule). The crew arrived early, got everything done on time, cleaned up completely and did an amazing job. Will continue to use Pierce!!

Overall a great experience. Pierce was extremely responsive and helpful. He put me on the schedule in less than 48 hours and when the weather that day prevented the work from being completed, Pierce was extremely accommodating and communicated with me regularly to reschedule. He made the front of the house look beautiful and kept the water out of our house.
