Working with Pierce and Cody was as good as all the other reviews state. The best part is the reliability, you feel like someone intelligent and responsible is handling everything. We are very hands-on, though, and wanted to use our own artistry to choose individual plants and make choices of where to place them. Pierce totally flexed to meet our needs, brought us to his nursery, and did what we wanted, found the plants we'd researched and also suggested others - a great combination of his expertise and our preferences. The other piece that was so important to us was that he does what he promises WHEN he says he will. No waiting for people who never call back, keep you waiting for quotes, maybe show up and maybe don't, as is too often the case. He is rock solid with his timing, follows through, and the job gets done just as you expect/hope it to. As another review said, not the "cheapest guy in town" but the quality of the work is there, you get what you pay for, and it is well worth it! Last perk - when his crew left, they cleaned up after themselves, including the walkway that had some leftover wet earth from a previous rain, and the front entrance actually looked better when they left than it was before they came. What a pleasure to work with a respectful young man who knows what he and his company are doing, aims to please, and has a full-blown sense of responsibility! You will be happy with this choice.

Pierce L Shallis Landscaping & Design has been great to work with. They exude professionalism from their clear, timely and respectful communication, to brand consistency with the company vehicles and employee's working attire. We hired the company a little over a month ago, so we don't yet have much experience from which to pull but other Angie's List users gave positive feedback that aligns with our experience to-date. The work they've done (Spring Cleanup, mulch installation, lawn mowing, tree planting, aerating, overseeding, rock installation) has been done well and has pleased our community's owners.

Pierce’s crew showed up on Tuesday morning to mulch my five beds. They worked quickly to clean up the all of the beds’ edges then put down a few yards of mulch. All in all, it took about 45 minutes. When it was done they cleaned up any stray mulch and left my property looking amazing! I had at least three neighbors comment to me that the beds looked great and they were impressed that the job went so fast. We also use Pierce for weekly mowing. His crew does a great job cleaning up at the end and always remembering that I like the grass cut in different directions each week.

Pierce and his crew were professional, courteous, and most importantly, provided exceptional value for the quality of the work performed. All too often service providers in this space over promise and under deliver. These guys clearly over delivered at all points along the way.

Pierce and the crew are extremely professional. They arrived at the time they said and reviewed the work to be done with us. All questions were asked up front so there wasn’t any confusion as to what was to be completed. The job entailed detailed installation of metal edging around 10+ garden beds and tree pits. Weeding was completed and all beds mulched. Clean-up was perfect after the job was done. We will plan additional landscape improvements in the near future. I would highly recommend this company.

Although we did not ultimately get work done, the responsiveness, professionalism and punctuality were top notch. Barbie answered my emails and phone calls immediately and Pierce came out right on time for our appointment. Very professional and customer oriented company.

Pierce, Cody and his professional and friendly crew did (as they always do) an unbelievable job upgrading the landscaping of our home. From design tips, to new sod, to creating flower beds, to pulling out old/dead trees, his team is pure magic from the initial consultation to the final product/delivery. Not the cheapest guy in town but worth every penny. You will be treated like family, have all your questions answered and fully enjoy top level service. Absolutely fantastic group of people. Pierce was very responsive through the entire process via text/email, he was also present during the actual work for sometime in the beginning and then came in again for a final inspection at the end. Everyone came on time and worked effectively and efficiently. There was an operations manager on site through the entire duration of the work. The quality of work was exceptional and I would surely hire them again.

I have had the pleasure of working with Pierce directly and his team since October of this year. We had no idea how good an experience working with a landscaping team could be! This is as part of an HOA in Aston PA (Kingston Terrace if you want to stop by for a look). We worked together over many phone calls, text, emails and even Starbucks coffee at my place delivered...and that's not even the best of it – answering my silly 6:30am manic texts, within minutes! In fact, I feel like I'm their only client. This is no small feat in my experience dealing with other distracted, overly rushed vendors. Pierce has the ability to shift gears easily between high-level planning discussions and detail-oriented talks. He's articulate and always respectful. You can tell he knows how to manage his team, too. As important as their stellar level of communication is, what's really great is their ideas and suggestions that have helped us begin to achieve our goals. We have more to do together for sure, and he's given us lots of insights and options that benefit both sides of the relationship. If you are searching for a company who doesn't try and skimp on their work so they can repeat the 'cheap at all costs' mantra that so many other companies follow, but who at the same time does a job I would consider above and beyond, I can wholeheartedly endorse Pierce Shallis and his team. Perfectly. As a side note, I had this company do some landscaping at my mother's house this past summer. She needed decades old shrubs and plants uprooted and new soil and seed to be put down. The job was done very quickly and it did not take very long for new grass to grow. She (and I) could not be happier.

Nothing but kudos for Pierce and his entire team! They were very expeditious and thorough throughout the entire project (large planting project of Green Giants and Skip Laurels). They had a team meet with us to understand what we were trying to accomplish (live on a busy corner street so wanted some privacy but also wanted low maintenance etc.). They were not afraid to say what would work and what we should consider changing for our location, environment etc. Did not feel they were trying to be pushy / up sell. Prices were not the lowest I got quoted but they were not the highest either. They listened and provided their feedback as "ok if this was my house this is what I would do". From quote to completion they were done in a week. Hoping for a mild winter so the plants take like a champ. But if not I'm confident Pierce and the team will be there for us in the Spring.

Pierce was very attentive throughout, working closely with my wife and I to make good decisions that would have the result for which we were shooting. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and have received compliments from neighbors on both sides.

This is a top notch organization! Pierce responded quickly to my call for cost estimate. He evaluated the job, offered suggestions and Heather provided a detailed estimate within 24 hours. Communication (from Heather) was excellent throughout the planning process. Work began as promised. A large crew showed up and completed the entire job in a day. Throughout the day Cody provided a status report and asked if they were meeting my expectations. Everyone was courteous and professional. They weeded one of my flower beds and placed leftover mulch in bed free of charge. Plants were high quality ans everything looks beautiful. Heather followed up with detailed plant care instructions. I highly recommend this company.

Pierce is very responsive to any ideas or requests you may have. He instantly gets back to you via email. He personally met us at the nursery to pick out the plants and shrubs we want for our yards. He patiently took the time to go over the pros and cons of which shrubs/plants to pick. He never rushed us as we were complete novices and had lots of questions. He shows up on time, is on site supervising the work, and his crew is very professional. They cleaned up everything.

Initially we spoke about the front and back yards. I was never pressured into addition work and he was down to earth. He was very knowledgeable! Work was completed the way we discussed!
