Work was thorough, professionally performed and completed on schedule. Great care was taken to protect my wife's flowers, and other vegetation, which surrounded the entire house. In short, they did a great job!

Description of Work: Replaced old roof and installed new GAF Timberline roof. Difficult roofline- odd shaped barn roof. Very pleased with results. His price was $13,000 less than another Angie's list A contractor who tried to sell me a 50 year roof and wait 5 months for installation, but I will be dead in 50 years, so no point. He put waterproof barrier in all dips, valleys and edges and installed new flashing around leaking old Velux skylights. The new roof is stunning. |He promptly replaced my ladder that he used that got a dent in a bottom rung, no questions asked. | This is the 4th major project he did for me. His company is a great value. I am not interested in overpaying for uniforms, nice trucks, hand holding, etc. I care about quality and price. I have a very nice estate property so I don't want low quality products or poor workmanship. I have always received what I wanted from him.

I understood that this small job would have to be worked in between other larger projects Steve was working on. It is difficult to find contractors who will take on these small jobs. Steve and his crew did the work in a professional manner and always cleaned up when they were done for the day. Steve did the drywall work and taping himself. Somewhat a stickler for smooth drywall compound, Came back 3 times to patch and sand areas till they met his expectations. Did have to store spackle and equipment in an unused bedroom during the construction project, and provided the siding that would match the rest of the house (hard to match after 30 years). Totally satisfied with the job.
Description of Work: Hired Steve to fill in holes in wall where 2 through-the-wall air conditioners had to be removed. Filled in one hole and put replacement window in other hole area.

We have no complaints whatsoever. We were fairly charged and they did an excellent job on both the new roof and the new gutter. These jobs were done a couple of years apart so I don't have both dates in mind. The crew was respectful and professional. We have recommended this company to neighbors who have also used them and were happy with their work.
Description of Work: We have used Sawyer Construction on two different occasions, to re-shingle the roof and most recently, to install a new seamless gutter following storm damage. In both instances, the job was done well, cleanup was good, the crew was attentive to detail and we were pleased with the work. The crew came in a timely fashion.

I was not satisfied with the job because it was not a quality job. The people he hired were unprofessional. I would not recommend him to anyone due to him overcharging me. He had to come back 3 times to work on the chimney. He ruined my lawn and roof, as well. We went to court over this matter.

the customer is one of those clients that the contractor dreads, it was too late to know, or i wouldn't have taken the job . She refused to pay after a new roof was installed, with warranties! She bad raps everyone just look up her name on Angie's list, and you will see for yourself! I took her to court and the court was in favor of me. They told her she must pay me! After roof was done she contracted me to re-face the chimney. I don't know why she is writing negative comments other than to try to slander me for personal satisfaction. Why does she submit a review eight (8) years later? Some people can not be pleased. As my wife says some jobs you should walk away from, this was one of them. I will be forwarding court findings to Angies list so if this thread is removed you will know why ! Really look up the customer's profile and see if she was ever happy with anybody or anything! Before judging anyone you must know all details, and I am willing to provide any proof to anyone interested in the truth about my company and my integrity. I stayed in a hotel this weekend in NYC, and it was a 5 star hotel. It was cleaner than my home. The accommodations were phenomenal and there wasn't anything that could have been done better yet I looked it up on a bedbug registry, and a disgruntled customer wrote a bad report about the Hotel stating they had bedbugs. The Hotel disputed the charge, denying it to the end. As I said you must really do your homework when believing all reviews about a business. And also, sometimes things do happen, things can go wrong, but if the business is willing to stand by their work isn't that worth something? I did everything possible to appease the customer, forget about it!!!!! S J Sawyer @ Co.
