+ 0 moreThe advice was very helpful, since my buddy and I are not professionals. My only reservation about my dealings with Mike are that he estimated the countertop and bathroom sink to come in at $300-400 including the materials, but the bill came to about $700. He said countertop proved more difficult than he thought it would be and he needed a helper. I believe that, but that's what estimates are for. That said, I would use him again if I needed something.
Description of Work: Mike gave us advice on a project and then did a couple of things towards the end (countertop and bathroom sink). He is friendly, knowledgable, punctual, and the work was good.

+ 22 moreWhen we need work, we call Mike at Micama renovations and the work gets done.
Description of Work: Mike went to Home Depot and Lowe's to select two exterior doors. Then he installed one of them perfectly. The other is on order. He also air sealed many leaks in our home. Enough so that we were sent a large refund check from power supplier! Mike just knows how to do the job correctly. Mike is trustworthy. I leave him in my home and go run errands while unattended or with my children home.

+ -1 moreWhen Mike came to look at the problem, he listened to symptoms, thought of solutions, listened to my thoughts, put together a plan of action and the job was done! When Mike enters your home, he will "see" the entire picture of the problem. He will not be happy fixing something that will not correct the underlying issue. Mike won't "put tape on a door that is leaking" unless needed to provide time to do job correctly. Once, he was working on my water softener and noticed that the plumbing for hot water was not routed efficiently to my dishwasher. He corrected that and saved me money on energy, and gave me cleaner dishes!
Description of Work: Mr. Marschewski is a graduate of a two year course at Pennsylvania College of Technology, and has many years of experience helping homeowners enjoy their homes. Mike, diagnosed a plumbing issue for me and needed to retrofit a vent requiring a few days of work ending in a job well done the first time. No more issues. He also made many more repairs to my home over the years, all with very positive outcomes. He is very trustworthy and accomplished. He is a true craftsman that is not afraid of older homes or "issues". Mike will be there when agreed. Mike is available for emergencies also. I called him on Fathers day one year with no hot water and he fixed the problem with a new hot water heater installed THAT DAY! Mike is my first choice for any home repair, upgrade, renovation or service, including plumbing electrical roofing siding or any other issues that may come up!
