Description of Work: I called Honesty & Pride about building/crafting custom windows for an older home. Rather than replacing them with new windows we wanted to protect the integrity of the home and have custom ones made. I emailed Honesty & Pride and they called me almost immediately. They were very honest in telling me they don't really do that type of work but would be interested in helping us with other work. I appreciated his honesty and will definitely consider Honesty & Pride for future work.

Description of Work: Paul and his partner made my house safer!. They installed a handrail on my basement stairs, installed a smoke alarm, and installed a grab rail in my tub/shower. They also fixed the mechanisms on my casement windows so now I can open my livingroom windows. I also had them install an access door in a hall closet for access to the bathtub plumbing. Paul also made a few suggestions, as my request, for completing some minor repairs myself. He showed me what needed to be done and how I could do it. I recommend Paul without reservation.

 + 0 moreIt went very well. He was on time and the work was done quickly. He found some mold/mildew under the wallpaper, so he contacted us to discuss the problem. He then got some Kilz and used that prior to the painting. He had to come back a second day to finish up the caulking.
Description of Work: He removed wallpaper in a full bath, then painted the walls and recaulked around the tub and sink. He painted the walls and the trim.

 + 1 moreThe job was scheduled three weeks out to allow us time to repair the roof. Paul came out a few days before the work started to determine supplies need. The job was quoted to take 3 days, it took 4, but in truth the last day was just some minor sanding. The area to be repaired was sealed with tarps to prevent dust and debris from spreading to the rest of the house. The first day the damaged drywall was removed and then replaced. The next days only consisted of sanding, spackeling, and priming. After the work was done the area was thoroughly cleaned. The cutout being repaired is the first thing to be seen when entering our house, it is decorative and a quality job was very important. It looks great! Very clean and conscientious and top quality work, the repaired areas show no sign of damage. I will definitely used Paul's Honesty & Pride services for future work. I am very pleased and highly recommend Paul's services. The job came in under the quoted price.

He takes a lot of pride in his work and the execution of his work. When you see that kind of dedication, you just find more work around the house to do because it is so nice to have jobs that have been nagging over the years that Paul can make go away. When my husband saw the repatch of aluminum siding on the side of the house, he was extremely pleased. My husband is very picky and notices everything. He was very pleased with the job completion and at the price. With an older home it's great to have a handyman like Paul around to help. We will definitely hire him again.
Description of Work: Removed wall unit air conditioner and repatched with wood and replaced exterior with aluminum siding. Masonry patched hole in front concrete porch. Removed large TV antennae from roof.
