Honesty & Pride

As usual (we have used Paul before) a great experience. Paul is always on time, does a great job and is reasonably priced. I would recommend him and would definitely call him again.

We initially had some communication issues regarding his giving me an estimate for this job, and he did not come when I expected him to. I decided to go ahead and give him the job because of his high reviews on Angie's List and I'm glad I did. He performed the job beautifully, when he said he would and as he said he would. I also asked him to replace a utility sink in my basement. I live in a 100 year old house with 100 year old plumping. He said that he could do the job but preferred that I use a licensed plumber, in case there were any problems with the old plumbing. I appreciated his caution. I will definitely use Paul again.

Nice Job! although today when I went on Angie's List I noticed there was a coupon there for $20.00 off, I didn't know about that until just now.. uh oh too late

Paul is punctual,personable, meticulous and conscientious. He arrived on time,always pleasant, got right down to work and did an excellent job. His work is professional and neat.. Honesty&Pride perfectly describe Paul's work ethics.

The job was very complicated and required extra materials and time due to my old air vent was put in backwards. He was able to finish the job the same day.

I was very impressed with Paul and his co-worker. They were on time and were careful to do a good job. I particularly was pleased to see that they were showing a lot of attention to detail to do it right and considered it a big point of pride in their work. They were careful when working around the house to make sure the doors they were taking out and bringing in didn't damage paint or furniture in our house. I was pleased with the great quality of the work and their prices are extremely reasonable.

I wasn't going to submit this report, because he's such a wonderful individual and I would recommend him and his work to anyone...also I don't want to say ANYTHING negative, even if it's such a small complaint b/c I really like Paul. The bottom line is I got something close, but didn't get EXACTLY what I was pretty sure I made clear I wanted when he came over for the initial consult. I wanted the top of the bookcases to mirror or at least be in the style of the mantle of the fireplace so that the bookcases flowed together with the fireplace and didn't draw the eye---I even pointed at it and said, I'd like it to match this or be similar to it. Basically, the top of the mantle has what looks like a bit of crown molding I wanted a smaller, similar bit of crown molding attached to the top of the bookcases. Paul designed a lovely decorative front to the top of the bookcases, but it doesn't look anything like the top of my fireplace. Paul had already obviously put so much work into the bookcases, that I didn't want to ask him to take them all the way back to his workshop and redo the tops. I figured, hopefully, I can have my husband attach the crown molding over the top at some point in the future. (also, I'm not sure if that's exactly the amount we paid...I can't find the checkbook, sorry. It was something close to that.) ***update: Paul returned to the home after realizing we were hoping to have received a different style book case. He did not charge anything extra for the service call. He added molding to the top of the book case and now it looks EXACTLY like what we had hoped to have. If you're looking for an honest and hard working person with the highest of standards. Hire Paul without hesitation.

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY !!!!!!! That's me after Paul and his buddy put railings up on my deck. Professional, punctual, perfection, respectful.....that's Paul and his company policy. Although he had to return a second day because the supplier failed to include all the necessary hardware with the order, Paul stood by his original estimate.....WOW.....you can't get better than that. I will be calling him again and again for more projects I need completed both inside and outside my home. He is "THE MAN". gn

Paul arrived on time, identifed himself, completed the work in a very professional manner.

Mr Nelson came on exactly the day that we had previously agreed upon. Not one day later- generally rare for independent carpenters. His work was just perfect and very neat and clean. He installed a new kitchen fawcet and a new front door. both items were done exactly right. Also, he was very polite, respectful and professional which are qualities that are much appreciated and sought-after.

They were very good and did a good job. They were very clean and were nice people. Their service was perfect. I found nothing wrong with them and will use them again in the future.

Was professional, detailed and on time as he did about 10 different repairs in our home. Installed a handrail in basement, fixed ceiling, installed floor trim in kitchen and coving in bathrooms.

I had several estimates and Paul definitely came up as the most honest and confident about what needed to be done. Paul is very pleasant and professional. He gave me the right price for the job. I would highly recommend him and would like to use his services again.

I contacted Paul a little whle back. He came to the house measured the doors. He then called and said he found the doors and could do the job. Since he was busy and I had other obligations we agreed that the work would be done on the above date. He called the night before to verify that I would be home. He gave me a time when he would be there and showed up on time. He brought a helper with him and between the two of them the fitted and installed the doors all in the same day. He cleaned up and left the work area clean.

Paul did an absolutely excellent job. Was extremely honest, nice, and informative. Price was absolutely excellent. Will certainly be using his services again! Highly recommended!! A+++++++++++++++++ service!

The overall experience was a very positive one!

Very, Paul arrived on time , works constantly. I don't think he stops for lunch The quality of the workmanship was very good and he finished the job quickly in 2 days. Paul's pricing did not include the paint costs but it is reasonable and worth the expenditure. I would recommend him for other handyman tasks as well.

I can't say enough good things about Paul. Paul's work is always very good, his prices are the best, he is honest and reliable. I will continue to use Paul for all of my home repair needs and have and will continue to recommend Paul highly.

I appreciate H&P's dedication to the project. Paul worked straight through and got the work done in a two days instead of the three predicted. Upon arrival Paul is ready to start the work and has the items and tools he needs to finish the project efficiently.

Just like our first experience with H & P, as good as it gets. Paul arrived a little early, got started right away. Worked straight throught the day. He discovered a previous contractor's error where five outlets were wrong for the circuits that fed them, explained why and what he needed and kept working while I got the replacements. One of the GFI outlets had a bunch of extra capped wires and was a little out of his expertise and, rather than fake it, Paul was honest about it and advised that it would be best that I seek help from an electrician on that one. I would add that the price paid was for labor only, but even with the cost of the hardware, I haven't talked to anyone who would have done that much work and provided the level of service I received for less than three times that amount. I know I am shooting myself in the foot with this review, because I have several other projects for H & P, and the good members of Angie's list have him booked up pretty solid. But, that's why we joined, I guess - to find the good ones and avoid the incompetents and gougers. If your needs fall within Paul's range of services, you will be amazed at how he can "Git er done" to your satisfaction. No excuses, no BS, just hard honest work done right.

Paul was a delight to work with. When we first emailed him via Angie's List, he replied within only a few hours. He was available to come for an estimate the next day, and came to perform the work within a week. Paul did a great job. He is very meticulous, determined to do it right, hard working (I never saw him take a break!), and super professional. In all our years of working with handymen in our area - and we've known many, owning rental properties for ten years in addition to our own homes - we have never worked with anyone so professional and who did such a conscientious job. We'll be having Paul back again in the spring to do some other work.
