 + 0 morePaul was courteous, on time, and the repair has held up well. Will definitely use him again, as there are plenty of projects that need work here.
Description of Work: My front door was falling off the hinges. I live in an older home and the front door has character so I wanted to see if the door could be saved. When Paul got here (on time) examined the door and frame. I'm better off replacing the door and the frame from it's condition. He did use wooden tees and realigned and repaired the hinges to give as more time. We can use our front door again!

 + 4 morePaul was more professional than I have seen others- he actually took his shoes off when he came in my house for the estimate! The name of his company is perfect since he told us honestly he would do his best with our attic stairs but could not guarantee anything as the builder our our house and put them in an awkward place. But fix them he did also fixing a broken bi leveled door and the board under our sink which had been warped from a leakage problem we had yrs ago. His work is wonderful and the price was very reasonable. We will use him in the future and recommend him to friends and family.

Our first appointment was on a Monday but unfortunately we had a bad ice storm and his worker took a fall and he called very apologetic for having to cancel the appointment. He came the following Saturday which my wife and I greatly appreciated so that we didnt have to miss a day of work. Honestly I forgot they were even here. Their work is impecable. The price was less then quoted. We will definitely hire Paul again in the spring. Go with Paul. You won't be sorry.

 + 1 moreFirst, Paul came ON TIME ...An absolute pleasure to work with. As others have written Paul tried to advise us on how to save money. He painted our laundry room..which had shelves to be taken out in order to paint re-installed them AND hung some wall hangings and actually hung something without me asking. The sitting room had some wall damage from our inability to hang shelves correctly...and Paul patiently repaired that as well. He also suggested we hire a lumber for some faucets that needed installation since he didn't feel comfortable installing them. He is PRICELESS!!!

Description of Work: I recently replaced my 80 year old garage door. When the door company put on the new garage door, they didn't frame the perimeter of the door. Probably my fault, I wasn't home during the installation. Anyway, I called Paul due to the many excellent reviews. He came for a free estimate, gave me a 400-600 dollar range because he couldn't predict any problems and likes to quote on the high side so there are no surprises later. We agreed, and Paul came out a week later. The weather was in the teens but Paul said "it's not too bad." Long story short, he and his associate worked for about 4 hours and the work was thorough and precise. The best part? During removal of the rotted frame, Paul cracked a piece of the garage door that covers the track (HE WARNED ME PRIOR THAT IT MAY HAPPEN DUE TO THE EXTREME WEATHER). Paul asked me for the address of the company who installed the garage door, stopped what he was doing and drove there to purchase a replacement on the spot.

 + 3 moreAs before, Paul and Robert exemplify the company name i.e. honesty and pride. They work non-stop so if one chooses to hire by the hour, you get a full hours worth of work. Add to that the skill, punctuality, professionalism, preparation and clean-up and I feel lucky to have found this company. I had a problem with door threshhold/weatherstripping that was difficult to refit. Paul had to order and re-order to find the right fit. His attention to doing the job right is commendable. I've used them before and will do so again. I'd referred them to a friend who couldn't thank me enough for finally finding a skilled, reliable, professional team.

 + 4 moreIf you're looking for a handyman on Angie's List, I'm sure you know how hard it is to find a good one. Well look no further. My large and rustic country home needed lots of work in several areas. In just three days this week...Paul and his pal fixed and finished three large walkways with brick pavers, installed a wooden door on my outdoor shower, organized my property, helped me winterize...and more. They were fast enough, but it wasn't just the speed. Their advice and the quality of the work was excellent. Paul and his pal quietly over-performed on every job I gave them. I'll have them back again two weeks from now to start painting and renovating a couple of rooms.

Now I have a wonderfully organized basement closet set-up because they made use of all shelving areas that I had not even thought of--no wasted space! Not just an ordinary closet shelving but they special cut some shelving to add space on side walls for pocketbooks, etc. Appreciate having much more storage space thanks to their extra effort and vision for use of all space. They repaired my 25 year old bi-fold closet door which was a project since parts were difficult to locate. Paul located the needed part after much searching and did not charge me for his extra efforts. Also, they installed a hanging kitchen ceiling light fixture and put down drop cloth during process. Care is always taken by them to protect the household and they clean up after. Everything is working great. So happy to have affordable, trustworthy repair service in the local area.

I asked him to order the part and have it sent to his address. When it came in he was available first thing to come out and fix the problem. He came out and put it in. A couple of adjustments to the catch needed to be made. He solved the problem. I thought that he would charge more than he did. I was happily surprised. He was very efficient and honest. I would call him again for general handy man work around our home.
