This was a great experience for us..! Lawrence is extremely professional, knowledgable and detailed oriented. From the moment he arrived to the end of the inspection, he walked us through everything and answered all of our questions. Because he was so thorough, he pointed out a few extra (bonus) things that our house had that no one else knew about. And within several later of the inspection, our report was ready by email. Our experience with Lawrence was nothing less than perfect. I would recommend any homebuyer and especially a first time buyer (like us) to hire Lawrence. You will not be disappointed.

He provided a detailed report complete with photos within 24 hours. Very professional and very detailed inspection lasted 2 hours.

Contacting and scheduling an appointment with Larry & BPG was a breeze. They were able to set up an appointment and tell us what we might be able to expect in terms of associated costs & payment options and timing for the inspections over the phone when we called. Larry's partner set up the radon test a few days in advance of the inspection so that it would be ready to collect when we did the inspections. On the day of the inspections Larry was right on time. He started his inspections outside and worked his way inside the house. He allowed us to tag along while he conducted his inspections and we learned a few things in the process, which was great! He took many photos throughout the inspections that he utilized in his very well organized and detailed reports (even our real estate lawyer was impressed with his reports!). We received our reports less than 24 hours after the inspections were complete. Overall, it was great experience, and we would recommend Larry and BPG to anyone looking for various home inspections. Larry & BPG are almost a one stop shop providing numerous types of tests and inspections, which is a great time saver for all involved.

The inspector was Lawrence Transue. He arrived on time and was very friendly and presentable and he explained everything he was going to do and what he was going to look for. From the very beginning, Mr. Transue was very professional and polite. He walked through every inch of the house, outside, roof, attic, etc. and I didn't feel rushed. He was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, made suggestions, offered advice, and made sure to point things out so I knew exactly what he was looking at. I was able to understand him and make sense of it all because he broke it down so that he was sure that I understood what he was talking about. If I didn't understand something he took his time to explain it fully. I thought this was going to be a painful experience but in the end I was very appreciative of how diligent and thorough Mr. Transue was. He was friendly, professional, courteous, patient, thoughtful, understanding, thorough, etc . I got a sense that I had a very professional meticulate home inspection done and I was able to see my home in a whole new light, in a different perspective than ever before. I was very pleased with the entire inspection and I highly recommend him. He provided me with a flyer with many resources that are useful to homeowners. The best part about it, I got the report early the next day just as he promised.

He was prompt, professional and friendly. I am a bit of a DIYer and quite curious throughout the inspection process and he catered to all of my curiosity and questions. In addition to all of his normal checks he checked a few additional things out at my request and included them in his report. Overall, he was very good and had our inspection report ready less than 24 hours after the inspection was complete!

Larry was the consummate professional. From initial contact, through booking, inspection & payment he was extremely helpful and flexible. He promptly responded to my initial e-mails seeking more information prior to booking. He was very thorough during the inspection, explained all issues and and answered all questions with detailed explanations. It was great not just being told what was wrong, but understanding why it was wrong & how it needed to be repaired. The inspection was Wednesday afternoon, and the report was available Thursday morning. A picture is worth 1000 words, and the report had pictures of everything, good and bad.

The service was exceptional. Larry responded to my request to schedule an appointment very promptly and answered all my questions promptly and professionally prior to booking an appointment. He arrived at the home 10 minutes early (even in the rain!) and was very thorough and very informative. I received the inspection report, including pictures, the same day. Very knowledgeable and friendly; I highly recommend him to everyone in need of a home inspection!

After reading reviews online, I hired Larry for my home inspection of a house that I was planning on buying in Easton. I did not want to use the home inspector suggested by my realtor as I felt that if I hired my own home inspector, then they would do a better job. We had our offer just accepted that Monday, and Larry's wife booked us an appointment with Larry quickly on the Friday morning of the same week. Larry had already arrived with his apprentice at the property prior to my arrival with my parents. Larry spent more than 2 hours at the house evaluating the exterior and interior thoroughly. He explained what he was doing as he was examining the property and answered the many questions that both my parents and I had. He also gave us referrals for contractors to help with some of the fix ups (e.g. broken fireplace, vent stuck open outside, stucco repairs). Larry did not find anything major that would hold us up from buying the house. His first main report was finished within 24 hours and emailed to me complete with pictures. The other reports for the other testing came on the Monday after the weekend. We also felt that his price was reasonable. Overall, we were very happy with the job that Larry did as well as his professionalism. We would recommend Larry to others who are looking for a home inspector.

Larry was very professional and friendly. He was right on time, explained things that were complicated in a simple and easy way to understand. He took his time going into details on each area that required inspection. His inspection was followed by a detailed report[same day]!! with pictures, that made it even more easier to understand with area that needed our immediate attention listed first and highlighted. I would recommend Larry to anyone needing this kind of service.

It went great, showed up on time was prepared to go on the roof, and in the septic system. Did a very good walk through of he property. And the detailed report was unbelievable very detailed with pictures.

Larry helped me inspect two houses and was very thorough both the times... He is pretty knowledgeable on all aspects including electrical, plumbing and structural component of the house.. He gives you the advice on the cost of repairs/remediation on the issues found during the inspection, which helps you a great deal during the negotiations... I would recommend his service wholeheartedly.. One thing though, I feel the final walk through should be included as the part of the inspection package..

I am a returning customer and would recommend Larry to friends and family. He has done a great job for me twice! Very helpful, answered all my questions and even made additional suggestions. He is very courteous, punctual and professional. Scheduling was easy, Arlene is very accommodating.

OK. seemed a little unsure of the number of rooms. i think the inspector knew enough about homes systems to do a good adequate job, and overall i was satisfied. I've had other inspectors who seemed a bit more knowledgeable, but that isn't a complaint. He didn't seem to have a deep through understanding of any one system, but I guess i should not expect that in an overall home inspector.

John inspected the house thoroughly and provided a report that was informative regarding our purchase. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a house inspection.

Larry climbed up on the roof, climbed into every nook and cranny, took samples, turned everything on and off, checked the electric, checked the pipes, and more. From start to finish, he checked the house from top to bottom.

Larry was very timely and professional in communications, and detail-oriented in the home inspection. In addition to identifying action items, he also provided some insight on other small details he noticed around the home. The provided report was very thorough, and helped in getting some seller assistance for items that required attention.

He was extremely prompt and polite about answering my email about his service area (and if I would have read the website more carefully I would have known this information.) We scheduled the home inspection for a Saturday morning and it snowed quite a bit the evening before, his assistant called and notified us that he was running late (Understandably - 8 inches of snow). This is our first home. I wanted a home inspector that would be picky and detail oriented, which Larry fulfilled beyond my wildest expectations! The property we are purchasing has a Cess Pool, and I was absolutely terrified of this seemingly medieval waste disposal method, but Larry (bravely) removed the cap and lay upon the semi-frozen soggy grass and proclaimed it was a very deep cess pool and we could have many people living in the home and not have to worry about filling it or any real problems! Yay! He explained the things he was going to put in the inspection report and told us how we could fix them if we did not want to hire someone. His apprentice/assistant was also a very knowledgeable and pleasant person. Very professional and pleasant person. He knows what he is doing and is very good at it! His reports arrived very quickly and were very detailed with photographs and explanations. I hope I never move again, but if I do buy another home, I'll hire him to do the inspection!

Larry Transue of BPG Home Inspections performed a home inspection for my wife and I recently. I contacted the main office and spoke with Arlene who was very helpful in setting up the inspection for the following week. In fact I had to re schedule for a day sooner and they were more than accommodating. Arlene was knowledgable and answered any and all questions I had about the inspection process. The inspection was thorough and was categorized by "Action" ( items that need immediate attention) and "consideration" (items that need attention due to normal wear and tear). After the inspection Larry made himself available to discuss all items on the report. I will be contacting BPG for future home inspections, and I will be recommending them to friends and family.

Larry was very professional, friendly, and punctual. He encouraged my wife and I to follow him throughout the inspection and he thoroughly explained everything that he was doing. If there were any notes he was making, he took the time to make sure we understood what the flaws/etc were in the home, the severity of them, and gave recommendations on how to get the issues fixed. I felt he took adequate amount of time for the inspection and he did get up on the roof to do a close visual inspection of the condition. I did give a B for price. The standard inspection cost was quoted as $500 (included pest inspection and radon test) but we were not able to get the water turned on prior to the inspection and we also did not have the HVAC unit running prior to the inspection and, therefore, those systems could not be tested. I explained this to the agent over the phone who set up the appointment. I was told that since the water system would not be inspected, we would have a $25 discount (5% off total price) which is nice but I would have expected a little more of a discount since testing the water/sewer systems would have comprised more than 5% of the work to be done. Overall I'm happy with the service that was provided, felt pricing was somewhat fair, and based on the experience we had with Larry I wouldn't hesitate to use BPG again.

Larry was thorough and explained all of the problems that he found. I received a 25 page report in less than 24 hours. He was friendly, punctual and knowledgeable.

Went great. This was my parents home that I bought from my brother and sisters. I thought I new all about the house and its faults. NOT! Larry found things I had no idea about. He did a thorough job throughout the house. I was there during the inspection so he elaborated on what he was looking for and found as he found it. I also received a detailed, well written report, that explained all that was found.

Larry was professional and punctual. He was already at our new home by the time we arrived for our appointment scheduled for 9am on a Saturday. Larry walked us through what to expect during the inspection and made sure he took the time to explain all issues to both my fiance and me. As a first-time home buyer, I learned a lot from Larry and would definitely recommend him and his business again. If you want a thorough and knowledgeable inspector, Larry is your person. Our home inspector, James Wilbur, spent 4 hours with us going over every detail of the house. He was friendly, loved what he did, was very knowledgeable, and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. Not only did we get a very detailed and thorough home inspection, we also received a 4 hour class in home ownership. I would recommend James for any home inspection, but I would especially recommend him if you're a first time home buyer.
