He banged on the pipes and never could remove them to look inside. Said we needed over $1000 worth of work done and not sure if it would fix the problem. When he left our furnace now made a loud noise when running. Not sure if something became loose or he got something caught in the fan. We had someone else come in and cleaned the furnace and have not seen any more of an issue. I think the white powder was from another issue we had fixed in the past. Then there is a $79 fee to come and look at the issue. I understand the service fee, but leaving the situation in a worse condition is unacceptable to me.

When the owner Scott told me the price, as they work by the job, not the hour, I was somewhat floored. I wanted to get the work done, so I signed an agreement, but also said I doubted I would ever use them again Scott went on about how much it cost to operate a business, the government taking his money, he could not make a living for his family and was behind on his mortgage. I sort of countered his objections and he eventually left w/o doing any work. Since this is a rental I own, he then decided to assault me with that I must not be a very good landlord because the place was empty. ( yes it was as I was painting for a new tenant.. I guess his tenants never move!). He also, which told me the most about him, said...." I hope you get a black family in there and they burn the place down." WOW! I have had 4 apartments for better than 20 years, and have rented to black people and other of minorities. They have been fine and as good as all. For him to say this was amazing. Don't use Ameriserve- especially if you are black I guess.
