I don’t even know where to start I hired Amato painting but who arrived at my house was a fly by night painting company that was not Amato painting. They started painting the outside stucco the wrong color. When I got home I asked them was that a primer and they tried telling me that was the color of my stucco. I showed them pictures of my stucco being tan and they painted it white! They tell me they are going to fix on Monday. I also showed them they got paint all over my 30k brand new stamped concrete patio and they said they would clean up. On Monday Noobody shows and I get a email telling me I need to agree for a change order...what?! I told you to match the color and I provided security camera footage showing drastic color difference. I then am told by Tanya that they will get back to me. I hear nothing. On Tuesday 2 painters randomly show up and just sloping more paint on window sills and getting it all over stone and I noticed they are doing zero prep work and they painted over mildew! I show them how I can peel the paint off with my fingers and they tell me “ I was not paid to do any prep work just paint” as he drips more paint on the patio. I call Ryan, Brenton, and Tanya multiple times with zero response. I finally kick the 2 painters off my property before they do any more damage that same day. When I tell them I never agreed to subcontracting work and my contact had prepping surfaces for paint they claim they were 99 percent complete and sent me a final invoice after I detail everything that was not touched (this is a 5000 square foot house on 3 floors on a hill and they completed it is 1.5 days?!) I sue them for my deposit back. Won lawsuit and now I am working on seizing assets to get my money back. They are nothing but crooks.

I don't even know where to begin. HORRIBLE. A five year old could have done a better job. They subcontracted out the job without my consent to painters I never heard of and could not find any licensing or details on. These painters slopped paint all of the stone exterior of my house. Painted wrong color on stucco, got paint all over copper gutters, on the storm windows, on a brand new concrete patio including paint footprints! Didn't prep any surface and just painted over cracked peeling paint. Called and emailed Ryan Amato and his worthless office manager Tanya Freed and they never responded. When I finally confronted the painters showing them they just painted over mildew that should have been cleaned and that I can just peel off the paint with my fingers he tells me "he was just hired to paint not do any prep work" and walks away getting more paint on a brand new 30K+ stamped concrete patio! After trying to call Ryan and Tanya once again I get no response. I kick these two painters off the property after a 1.5 days of work (This is a 4500 square foot hillside home that is 3 stories high and the deposit for this job was over $3200 dollars). The next day I finally get a response of Tanya stating they were 99% complete when I kicked them off......and to please let them finish. Wow that is a surprise they didn't get past the windows on the 2nd floor and didn't even finish the front porch (Most of the trim painting is the eves to the third floor and all the intricate woodwork on third floor which wasn't touched). To think you could be 99% complete on a home this side is ridiculous. I send all these pictures showing Tanya and Ryan they were not even 20% complete. She has the nerve to send me a invoice for the remaining balance once again stating 99% complete without even looking at it. I ended up suing them and won in court. The judge even told them this is a horrible job and I had every right to kick them off my property to stop any more damage from occurring. I have yet to receive any money from these clowns. Avoid at all costs. I now have to get house striped and repainted and the stone patio sealer redone to remove the paint footprints they left.

I had a very last minute request and Ryan Amato Painting was able to accommodate and were extremely professional and efficient. Ryan was very knowledgeable and friendly and I was very happy with the results. They came back a couple of weeks later to check if everything is fine! Highly recommend if you are looking for professional painters. Will use again.

We had the exterior of our home painted and the crew did a fabulous job! They called ahead to see if they could come sooner, which was great, but they said they had a big enough crew to finish the job in 2 days!! 2600 sq.ft. house in 2 days in 110 degree heat. The house looks beautiful! Use this company if you want pro's working on your home.

We were very pleased with the results. House looks great. Price was fair and reasonable. Amato was on site everyday with a crew of 5 painters who were professional and courteous throughout the project. This was a large home with cedar siding which required much prep work before they could even begin staining. Bushes were covered, and at the end of the day, the old stain scraped from the siding was swept and vacuumed up. Staining the house and painting of trim was done with excellent quality workmanship. When we are looking for someone to paint the interior of our home, we will call Amato.

We recently used Amato Painting to paint our home and deck and they did an outstanding job. I cannot recommend them enough. Amato Painting provided with us with an accurate estimate and made recommendations based on their expertise that were spot on. They completed some siding repairs and kept us in loop on everything they were doing and did the job quickly and professionally. I think it was little things that really made the difference between great to outstanding. They were mindful of my flowers and our dogs who are used to having free rein of the backyard. Best of all we love how our house looks. It looks new!

It went terrible from the moment we paid our deposit on October 13th. From there we were told our project lead would be in touch shortly with a start date. We requested it be done as soon as possible. 6 weeks went by without actually speaking to anyone except the secretary who consistently told us our project lead would be in touch within 24 hours, which never happened. We must've followed up 10 times from that point forward. We finally got a call from the project manager who said he could start December 10th. This was outrageous, but at this point, we wanted the job done, but asked them to consider giving a discount. No response for 2 weeks, and finally on 11/27 they said they could offer a discount but couldn't start until January due to us delaying the decision. Us delaying the decision? They are incompetent from the management to the secretary. We wanted a one-room job completed and already paid a deposit. They were unresponsive and management was completely afraid to speak with us. Do not hire this company under any circumstances unless you believe they are wizards with a paint brush. Terrible experience from start to finish. And to top it off, we were a referral.

We're sorry you had a bad experience, from all our other reviews you can see that is not typical by any means. We all work hard as were a family business to make every job and project work out perfectly but that is sometimes impossible. This has been the worst weather year we all can remember and it effects even interior projects as we cannot move other clients up ahead of already scheduled jobs. As you can see we were referred and we receive many many projects by referrals so that does say alot. Again we apologize we couldn't meet your expectations with scheduling. We wish nothing but the best and hope your project turned out well.

Let me start by saying, I’m not one who usually uses contractors for work around the house. We were moving into a new house that needed the inside painted top to bottom. I was coming from a house that I had done allot of work to and additionally my septic failed during my sale. I had to hook the house up to the sewer. It cost me considerable money and was an extremely stressful time. All of this led me to deciding to hire a contractor to paint my new house. I hired Amato because they had good reviews, seemed pleasant and bid a fair price for the job. I asked if I could add one 12x10 bedroom to the job and they told me it would be no problem, they would give me a price when they came to paint. I decided to go back to work, leaving my in-laws at the house while Amato painted, (which was only supposed to take one week!). My plan was to take two week’s vacation to put the house together after they were done. As per contract, they were to: Fill wall and ceiling cracks with spackling compound, let dry, and sand smooth, More advanced cracks were to receive an application of fiberglass joint tape, be spackled and sanded smooth, Scrape and sand rough areas due to previous paint failure and Apply two coats of Sherman Williams Pro Mar 2000 to all walls. The first day they were to begin, no one showed up. The second day, they sent one guy and proceeded to send one guy for the remainder of the week. It would be completely impossible for one guy to paint my house in a week and as a result they weren’t even half done. I’m guessing, because they had other work and already way behind; they gave me a ridicules quote of $400.00 for the Bedroom. I said no, and painted it myself in a couple hours for under $100.00. The guy, who was there, kept telling my in-laws which holes didn’t need patching because they were perfect places for pictures. I ended up losing the whole first week of my vacation, which I wanted to work on the house waiting for them to finish. By the end of the week, I had enough, I called them and let my displeasure be known, (by the way; my lone guy went home early twice and missed a second day, the second week). Thursday I had two guys and Friday I was back to one. My house was painted a gold faux finish by the previous owners. As the solid grey color that I picked was covering it up; it revealed a number of imperfections in the walls. They told me faux finish hides imperfections and they could do nothing about them. Matter of fact; there was one in my basement, they said they could fix but would have to cut into the wall and charge me extra, so once again, I did it myself. I simply smoothed it out with some joint compound, put a fan on it, sanded it, and once they painted, it was perfect. Shouldn’t the person who evaluated the job, as a professional, been able to accurately access the condition of the walls? The proposal didn’t say to fix imperfections except for the ones hidden by the faux finish. By Friday, I just wanted them out of my house, so I signed their paperwork to be done with them. Besides the hundreds of unfixed wall imperfections, many areas throughout the house were not painted completely or look like they were painted by a two year old. I expected more from professionals. At a time when the last thing I needed was more stress; Amato painting made an already stressful time in my life worse. They also left me with two full five gallon buckets of paint, (that I paid for) that could have been used for the bedroom. I had to purchase more paint and paint it myself. Additionally, they slopped paint on my floors, carpets and furniture. I wouldn’t recommend Amato painting to my worst enemy. Every day, as I walk around my house, looking at their work, I’m reminded why.

We were surprised to see this review as we do a thorough walkthrough at the end of the job with all customers who sign off on the work before we leave as we did with this project. Regarding your timing of the project, this client canceled on us a few times when we had manpower scheduled to begin and at one point canceled the entire job. We were very flexible on moving the job around for his needs on closing on his home and had moved some other projects around for clients who said that would be okay so we could get to this one that had a deadline. We would of also certainly of come back again to correct any flaws they may have found afterward, we never received a call or email regarding this project after the final walk through which waspaid in full in a timely manner. The painters were correct on a faux finish hiding many imperfections, once you put a solid color on them it will show many and all imperfections, that is not a standard typical patching job which was contracted for. I personally priced the additional bedroom, if they read any of our blogs which we share our pricing on, this would not have been a shock at all, that is a fair price to paint a room. The pictures they have shown are unfair as they are zoomed in and at angles, no one would be viewing the room, as per pdca standards a proper paint job is viewed from 3 ft away under normal lighting and at a normal viewing angle.. As you can see from all our other reviews this is not typical and we cannot control a customer that maybe had other expectations than they shared with us or was willing to pay for. We still appreciate the business, our painters had nothing but nice things to say about the client.

We had Ryan and his team paint the exterior of our home...we purchased our home in January 2014 and have had nothing but problems. Between electrical and plumbing issues we have dumped so much money into the home and Ryan was able to provide us a quote that worked well with our dwindling budget. Unfortunately we had to wait a few weeks to have the work done due to weather issues but it was definitely worth the wait! The team showed up right on time and was extremely professional in every aspect of the job. I cannot say enough about Ryan and his crew...they do an amazing job and I would recommend them to anyone! They were able to help me see the potential in our home since we moved in and I am smiling for the first time in months!!

We requested a quote from Ryan. Ryan contacted us promptly to set up an appointment to look at the work that needed to be done. We received our quote within two days after Ryan looked at the job. We accepted his quote and made arrangements for him to come and do the spackling and painting. Ryan arrived on the day the work was to commence. He was very professional and did an excellent job. He kept the work area clean as the work progressed and he cleaned up after the work was completed. The work he did was excellent. We are very satisfied with his services and will be using him again for other painting needs.
