+ -1 moreI called 5 different roofing businesses for a leak around my exhaust vent which caused water to drip into the kitchen.This is the ONLY business that promptly responded to my call.I spoke with AL Jr. & he promised someone would be out by the end of the day.As promised 2 of his work crew came out, assessed the problem,fixed it for now& also checked all my roofing.Hector &John explained what needed to be done.I asked for an estimate & told them I knew they were busy,so it's no rush since the leak is fixed for now.The office called me twice to make sure someone was coming that day& after to see how it went & to confirm the work& future repairs.I will be using them for all my future roof work. They were the only company who responded promptly!THANK YOU SO MUCH AL & your workers!

+ -1 moreWhile in my unfinished attic with the A/C installer, I noted a silver dollar size hole in the peak of my roof. I called Al Smith and told him I needed repairs. He responded the next morning at 0800. He fixed the hole, and the entire ridge, and looked over my roof and found cracked and missing slates. He fixed all the issues. His crew is polite and very professional, they cleaned up after the job. If you need slate and other roofing repairs, call Al Smith, he is a great person and runs and great company.

+ -1 moreI called a couple of companies, one never called back, one called back and told me to stand by the phone last Friday, they were coming and would call me....no call back. So I called Al Smith Roofing, Easton, PA. The guy I should have called in the first place. I left a message and the next day he called me back. I told him about my slate roof issues and he promised to get to my home in the next week. Well a couple of days later, Al knocks on my door and is ready to repair my roof. I pointed out the missing slates and the broken slates. His two man crew went right to work and properly replaced the slates. There was no just slipping in a slate. Each slate was prepared and nailed properly and the nail holes were covered. His crew always does an excellent job. They know slate and I advise anyone with a slate roof that needs TLC to call Al Smith Roofing. Time and time again he provides Five Star Service. Last year I invested over 750.00 in replacing many slates and my roof is in the best shape it has been in a long time. Do yourself and your slate roof a favor, call Al.....

+ -1 moreThe entire project went well and I would use this company again, and recommend them to my friends. It appears if your project is considered "small" or not thousands of dollars many companies are not interested.
Description of Work: After Hurricane Sandy I found that slates had blown off my roof. I called six roofing contractors and three returned my calls. All said they were busy and would get to project in a week. That was three weeks ago and no one responded to look at the job and give me an estimate. My neighbor recommend Al Smith Roofing from Easton. I called his number a pleasant lady answered and I gave a description of my roofing needs. That was on a Monday 12/3. Tuesday she called me and advised me that if it did not rain on Wednesday 12/5 Al would be over to repair my roof. Al showed up at 0900 hours, we reviewed the condition of my roof and he and his crew got to work. They found three slates had blown off, but also there was a spot where at least 15 slates were decayed to the point that they almost were non-existent. They actually replaced 30 slates on my roof and sealed the peak on my main house and attached garage. They also found some nails that had popped and they reset those nails and sealed the exposed heads. When they were complete they cleaned up and thanked me for the opportunity to repair my roof. I am very pleased with their work and would definitely call them again for my roofing needs. I am disappointed that the other companies did not at least call back to let me know they could not respond to my roof repair, but instead promised to be out in a week, and three weeks later no sign of them?
