The project began with our description of the kitchen we envisioned. Jason measured, estimated cost, and made some suggestions. Once he was hired, we put down a deposit and he ordered the wood. We chose maple with a natural finish. As he was cutting out the pieces, Jason returned multiple times to re measure. At some point, he invited us to his work shop to inspect his progress. We were so impressed. He had lovingly selected the boards to show case the most interesting grain. He matched the grain on the drawers and door fronts on each cabinet. All the corners were reinforced. When the cabinets were done and clear coated, he and his buddy delivered the pieces by truck. All the pieces were complete as delivered. All the shelves on my cabinetry slide out, like drawers. The peninsula in the kitchen is double sided: There are drawers and doors front facing in the kitchen and the dining room. Drawer entry on either side is a wonderful and attractive convenience. Jason assisted and supervised the entire installation. The plumber and electrician commented that his cabinetry was the most well made and beautiful kitchen cabinets they had ever seen. When the project was complete, Jason presented me with a set of matching trivets which he made from the remnants. We have been home owners since 1973. Jason Dailey is the most honest and professional contractor we have ever hired.

Jason met with us at our home to discuss our kitchen renovation, take base measurements, and provide a quote for custom made wood counter tops. He then invited us to met with him at his workshop to show us the different wood options we had to choose from. He was very patient and thorough when explaining the pros and cons of each option. After we decided on the material we wanted, he was able to locate the perfect source. We again met with him in his workshop to approve the pieces he hand picked. When the counter tops were fabricated, he invited us to see how they looked. We were extremely happy. After our new cabinets were installed, he returned to our home to take final measurements so that he could create templates for the U Shape installation and the farmhouse sink. The following week, he returned with the counter top sections, installed them and set the sink in place. We doubt that any other contractors would have expended the time of effort required for this project due to the amount of detail and precision required. In summary, the counter tops are heart pine (rescued from a barn built in the 1830's), they are 2" thick with a breadboard end on one side, smooth seems and have the original barn beam finish edge.

Jason is a very very good woodworker. He measures three times at least before cutting. He thinks things thru very thoroughly before proceeding. We came in to his shop thinking we had a good idea of what we wanted. He added his own ideas and brought to light things we didn't think of. Overall, mantel came out great. Very neat and clean install.
