Eric Vasquez (EJV) is an excellent repairman. Whenever I need work done he does it and he is very fair on pricing. We even had an issue after (bad fan) and he replaced the fan FOR FREE (attic fan). I will be calling him for many more jobs in Salorsburg, PA (He is in East Stroudsburg, PA listing as "EJV")

Simply put Eric and his team were so efficient, meticulous and just the nicest. It was a pleasure getting work done by him He quoted a price, which was very reasonable as compared to other quotes, and stuck to the quote. I'm just waiting for a little spring cash and will be hiring him again for some project work still on my dream list. My first experience with a contractor for porcelain tile quoted me a price to fully tile a bathroom. When it was all said an done, I ended up paying nearly double. I wish I had found Eric first - he did my other two bathrooms better than the first contractor (that claimed to be "tile experts") and his price didn't change. He also didn't charge me extra to use my own leveling system like the other contractor did, or to do some water-proofing paint in the shower. I have this crazy fear of mold and did do overkill on the waterproofing precautions. But Eric was so easy going about it and just did what I needed to feel comfortable. At one point I changed my mind about a tile pattern (sometimes I make decisions I regret) and even though he tiled half the bathroom wall, he happily removed them, and even suggested a better way and re-did them (which looks 100x better)! All the while, no complaints or attitude or anything - just happy and helpful! He's the best!

We contacted Mr. Eric Vazquez for a consultation on possible ways of improving the bathroom's appearance. Two weeks later, we were quite impressed with Mr. Vazquez's expertise and application by creating a lovely modern bathroom while maintaining its connection with the outdoor surroundings. Mr. Vazquez installed sheetrock, painted and added trimmings to window and door. Polyurethaned old natural wooden ceiling. Performed an exceptional application of floor and wall tile areas. Installed mirror, sink, toilet, base board heater and hardware. This is our fourth project with Mr. Vazquez ,for he previously replaced the roof, repaired the deck and replaced parts of the house's insulation. Mr. Eric Vazquez and his crew conducted an EXCELLENT ROOF REPLACEMENT in ONE DAY! Left the place clean and provided us great photos of the new roof for our records. We chose the color to match the house and he replaced 2400 sq ft of shingles with GAF Lifetime Architectural Shingles with an additional WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY. With great confidence, we highly recommend Mr. Vazquez for any necessary ROOF REPAIR or REPLACEMENT.

Excellent. The contractor was very reasonably priced. His estimate was accurate. The workmanship was quality through and through. The contractor completed the job within the time frame specified. Everything discussed was completed. Any additional cost for materials or labor was discussed and agreed on prior to the contractor purchasing any more material or beginning the work. Very fair and reasonable with any changes we decided to make.

Eric and his crew were professionals. The job performed was excellent. Eric's proposal for the cost of the work was spot on accurate. Eric made certain to explain the process and the cost every step of the way. After several having several contractors price out the job I settled on Eric and boy am I glad I did. He and his crew came to work on time got the job finished cleaned up done exactly as I wanted it. All within the time frame he had quoted me. He repaired my dishwasher and removed replaced my old water pump with the new one I had purchased. The trees were cut down as far as possible ( the prior contractor left me with stumps that were 2 to 2 1/2 feet high) he cut them down to be even with my grass!!!! Great job. I am looking forward to hiring Eric and his crew again as I have more trees to cut down next summer. Several years ago Eric installed and repaired my bathroom and painted several rooms for me and that job was also well done. Price wise Eric was more than comparable and reasonable than the other contractors were, I had a price quote from one contractor that was more than double his!!! Finally Eric and his crew were nothing less than kind courteous and professional in their manner. I would recommend him and his crew in all areas of contracting as I am a benefactor of his work. I have had other contractors do work for me and the results have been mixed. Going forward he is the first person I will call with any contracting issues. The project of 4 phases lasted 3 months. The Home Impover Eric is trustworthy, hard working, always goes and extra mile to accommodate client's requests, has a phenomenal eye for detail and is highly skilled in all areas of home renovations. His assistant, Ed, is a very good painter and this team did a wonderful job at the house, which now looks brand new!

Everything was FABULOUS. Eric was punctual, polite, listened to everything we wanted to have done and did it all...perfectly. And, he was super respectful. Have already recommended him and shall continue to do so.

I have been unable to contact this guy. I believe he moved out of the area about two years ago.

We bought a house that had been essentially vacant for while. It had issues. We did not know anyone to hire. We found Dominic Localzo on Angie's List under the name The Home Improver. What a blessing! Dom likes woodworking, so the trim is all great. He finds painting meditative, so that worked well. His sidekick Eric has loads of technical skills like plumbing and electrical, so they can get in to what they need to do. Plus, they came up with a really good idea for what to do with a problem area of the rehab. We are thrilled with it, and it saved us thousands of dollars over other contractors.The guys did not do everything perfectly -- just about. They gladly fixed what they messed up. But what is great is that they are so easy to get along with -- we actually invited Dom to dinner the other night (he couldn't come) but we don't so that with workmen. Dom went above and beyond in many ways. There were days when we got more than we were paying for. We are absentee owners and we trusted him to care for the house when we weren't there through a very hard winter. I plan to have them back in the spring to see what they can do with the outside! Finding competent and reliable contractors in the Poconos is extremely hard. The prior contractor took a deposit and that was the last time I saw him. Dominic did an excellent painting job. Some of the work on the outside of my house was limited due to falling temperatures. I will not hesitate to call him in the spring for further work.

Domenic and Eric were great. What was supposed to be a couple rooms, turned into just about the entire inside of my home. I was happy with their promptness and professionalism. They were a true pleasure to have around the house.

He painted the exterior of our home and our deck. The job required scaffolding to complete it properly. In addition, he power washed our roof at no extra charge. He knowledge of stains was very helpful when we were deciding what to use and the colors to pick. Overall, he was a really good contractor and I would highly recommend him to any of my friends. We had did get other bids for this job to make sure we could compare the pricing. In fact one contractor came to the house and decided he could not do the job.

My house looks like new again. We are very pleased.

Dominic was punctual with his communication, showed up on the assigned days to work and was considerate not to tramp dirt through the house while working. I was worried about getting someone who would install the crown moldings perfectly, because it is the first thing you see when you enter my house. Dominic did a great job, being extra careful not to smudge the freshly painted ceilings. I will definitely call him the next time we need something fixed. Fast and professional.

We are pleased with the work. Domenic was helpful in suggesting ways to repair damaged areas of porch and deck since we did not want to replace them at this time. He understood what we wanted and did not push for more expensive options. We liked his personality. He was on the job working with his helpers. He started and finished as planned. It took 2 days because he had to replace about 10 planks on the deck prior to painting. It became apparent that he had to replace a few more after power-washing which he had discussed.

Domenic of "The Home Improver," Please note! that when I saw his special on Angie's list last May, 2013. He was running a special paint sale, unbeknownst to me, that his sale had expired a month prior to me contracting him. Angie's list failed to remove his special, allowing me to purchase the special. He contacted me informing me of the the mistake, but stated that being it was no fault of my own, that he would honor my contract. I wanted my master bedroom to be painted in June,2013. But due to his busy schedule he was unavailable until August, 2013. If I was still interested he would comply to my contract. Domenic called me to arrange an appointment, he was unable to keep the first scheduled appointment, but called to arrange another date. We both settled on Tuesday, August 13th, 2013, at 1:00 PM. Domenic arrived on time, he was very professional, did a wonderful job, although he worked alone the job was completed within two hours or less. I will recommend Dominic very highly, he is a God fearing man who can be trusted working alone, and you would be very pleased with his work and professional manner. In keeping with his promise, he has to travel more than a hour and a haft to arrive at my residence. He is a man of honor.

I can see every place that he "repaired" existing dry wall...mediocre at best. Two of the three doors hung won't close because they weren't trimmed properly. Crown is good. Made some decisions without checking with me first. He started out pleasantly. Showed up right away, put on the charm. However when he became overwhelmed because he admittedly over-booked himself he got surly and down right rude. When asking for payments, he spoke to me as though he had to beg for money the last time he asked. Checks were submitted promptly upon request. He never told me when he would be back, so I always asked. I think he thought this was being pushy. I called it communication. Toward the end of the job I sent him a text. When 5 days later I texted him again because he didn't respond, he responded obviously not understanding what I was asking, so I decided to call him. When he answered he demanded to know what I could possibly want. He said I called him everyday (hadn't called him in well over a week) and he had to try and figure out what the F*CK I wanted from him. I was so shocked not only by his language and lack of professionalism, especially because he was so off base on his take on the situation. When I told him there was no need for him to speak to me this way...he was nice enough to call me a B*TCH! Dom, don't waste your time trying to defend yourself for my benefit because I won't be checking back for your response. Instead of trying to defend yourself, an apology would have been the professional thing to do. I hope your schedule has thinned out so that no one else gets treated as I did.

Domenic and his crew did a great job despite unforeseen obstacles on the rebuild. He is professional, patient and delivers quality work with great attention to detail. He has done work for me in the past, and I have a few fall projects and plan to call him again.
