Lancaster Plumbing Heating & Cooling

I bought this house, and it was not truly a drain cleaning, but I used that, and they were helpful to use it to get the camera to see where the pipes actually run which I was trying to determine. Everything was good. I was happy with everything they did. It just to do the big job, they would have been more expensive than another plumber. Not all other plumbers, but I would say that they would be on par with other large plumbing houses. I was able to do better with a small and independent plumber. For what I got, the price was a very good value.

The service went really well. We were pleased with them.

I rented a water softener from this company. I called to have it serviced as it did not appear to be working. Was told it was working but was advised to purchase a new softener. Quote provided and I agreed as the job could be done today. Jay brought another technician Cody to assist and learn from him. After the unit was installed and the final checks were being completed, Cody noticed that the electrical outlet used by our sump pump and dehumidifier had at some point caused a small fire and continued to emit sparks. The outlet was completely destroyed along with the sump pump and dehumidifier plugs. These items were badly burned and required replacement. Jay suggested calling a handyman but I felt more comfortable having Jay and Cody do the work. I couldn't believe how close we came to losing our house in a fire. I appreciated their expertise and concern so much that I signed with their company. I had been with another company for many years and was satisfied. Unfortunately I had my plumbing inspection on Friday the week before and the plumber did not notice the outlet issue. So I am forever thankful to Jay and Cody for being in the right place at the right time. I plan to ask for them when I schedule my yearly service. THEY ARE THE BEST!

It was a successful review. I learned things about the house I had bought 4 months ago. I was assured no work needed.

The tech arrived punctually, and was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. I have no complaints at all, and would recommend them to anyone.

We received a $270 bill for the 1/2 hour of work. If you chose to use this company you better get a quote. We didn't.

Because our home was a custom build job, we were very involved in the selection of everything that was put in the home. There were conversations prior to and then after with the owner of Lancaster Heating and Cooling. He was patient, informative and very supportive as we made choices for the heating and cooling equipment. Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to others.

I CALLED THEM BECAUSE I HAD A CLOG IN MY MAIN DRAIN, I EXPLAINED THAT EVERY TIME I USED MY WATER IT WOULD COME OUT OF MY VENT PIPE ON MY LAWN. THEY TOLD ME SOMEONE WOULD BE HERE BETWEEN 1 AND 4 PM. THEY DID NOT COME UNTIL 6:30. I CALLED THEM AT 4PM TO SAY THAT NO ONE HAD COME AND THEY COULD NOT TELL ME WHAT TIME THE PERSON WOULD BE HERE, THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT REACH THE PERSON THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE HERE. FINALLY AFTER MANY PHONE CALLS ON MY PART SOMEONE SHOWED UP. THE COMPANY THAT CAME WAS NOT LANCASTER PLUMBING BUT RABBIT ROOTER. I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN HERE MUCH SOONER. ;

We had a clog resulting from debris collecting in a pipe that was missing outer drain cap. It caused slow drains which for worse and worse. After a few unsuccessful DIY attempts to unclog it, it time to call for help. We scheduled for the next morning. They were on time and the work was done efficiently. The workers were nice and professional.

When I returned home at approximately 9:30 p.m., I discovered that the temperature in my home was nearly 90 degrees because the heat pump would not shut off, even when the system was disengaged. I called Lancaster Plumbing and Heating, and the dispatcher sent Mark, a technician who has done routine and repair service to the unit before. I have always found him to be knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and willing to explain what the problem is and how to correct it. This visit was no exception. In fact, Mark cheerfully worked on the unit outside in a driving rain until 11:20 p.m. (nearly an hour), at which time the unit was fully repaired. One cannot ask for better service than this.

They did an excellent job and couldn't have asked for anyone else. This was the only company that would come out. They were at my house within an hour.

This is like a tale of two companies. The plumbing arm of lancaster plumbing is wonderful. A bit high in pricing, but I do believe you pay for what you get. The guy who came in to look at the plumbing tried to fix it, but because the unit is so old, he told me he'd need to replace everything for $1500. He was not offended that opted to keep the old fixtures, and tried to tighten things down as much as he could. No harm no foul. I also replaced an ancient toilet, and though again, a little high priced, the job was well done. The guy they sent to do a simple repair of the vent that had fallen now that's another story. It probably took him under 5 minutes, and the new parts were two brick screws and an aluminum brace. I oked the work in advance thinking it would be about 50 bucks. imagine my surprise when my bill was over 400. I called the company and talked to the technician who told me that was what it came up on the computer as the charge. Huh? I asked to speak to the manager and got the receptionist, who was totally nice and professional and asked if I wanted to speak to the technician again. I said no I wanted to talk to the boss and I would be calling them every day until I did. She told me that he had gone for the day ( it was about 2 pm). I told her I would be calling again. She called me up an hour later saying she was upset for me and called the boss at home and he halved the bill to $200. I was still not pleased, but doubted I would be getting more satisfaction than that. Because they have good customer service, whenever I need to use them again, I will make very clear that I have been unsatisfied with portions of their service, but other folks have been great. My suggestion would be to watch things very carefully, and ask about anything before they do the work.

I was contacted promptly by LPH and they assigned their technician to our project right away. Their technician contacted us prior to attending the appointment and arrived on schedule. His manner and uniform were professional and welcome. The property includes two living quarters which the technician took his time to inspect fully noting several issues that were not found during a whole home property inspection performed one year prior. He also performed maintenance on both hot water systems. We spoke about options for future replacement that encompassed both efficiency and affordability. The technician took his time and spent 3 hours making sure that he had performed due diligence of the task. The technician retired to his work vehicle and drafted a full report as well as a remediation plan for any issues found. He also recommended optional services yet did not make a sales push. Due to this employee's attention to detail and effort beyond my expectations for the amount we paid, we have purchased the additional optional maintenance service (includes heating and cooling maintenance as well) and have requested LPH's assistance in other projects on the property. The company follow-up was prompt (within one hour of the technician's departure) and courteous. We also received a follow-up two months later regarding the services performed and to inquire about any current needs.

Technicians goal is to sell you their service contract. I will never use Lancaster Plumbing and Heating again.

The price was right and Jay was personable and professional. I will definitely use their services next time without thinking twice.

The replacement was successful.

Upon completion, the tech had said the unit was low on freon. Since it was a relativley new (3yrs) unit, he said there may be a leak and we would want to contact the warranty vendor and have them look at it. It cost $99 to have Haller Enterprises come out and inspect/service the unit. They said the unit was fine on freon level and found several other items that this vendor had missed. Lancaster Plumbing and Heating agreed to refund the amount I had to pay Haller but took more than a month to approve and send the pmt. And even then I had to call because they suposedly sent the check to my rental unit where I've had them do other work. Overall I was not happy with the service but did rate them as good because they took steps in service recovery. They have also been responsive in previous service requests and have made themselves available. I would give them another shot to provide good service and chalk this up as a possible bad day for the tech.

We expeirenced a major sewage back up of rocks and other debris in the main pipeline as well as the trap in the street which was left in that condition by Bruce Martin of Rooter 7 Plumbing. We were unable to use the sink, wash clothes, or use the toilet without it backing up into our basement. Lancaster Heating and Plumbing came and promptly assessed the situation and kept us updated on their findings. They worked hard to rectify Rooter 7 Plumbing's unproffessional and inadequate job so that we would at least be able to use the toilet and shower. This was done even before we hired them to fix the disaster Rooter 7 Plumbing left our property in. Once we hired them for the job, they completed the job in one day with the cement work done a few days later only due to the rain which they had no control of. They were very professional and kept us up to date with everything that they were doing.

For the detail and time Mark took to go over my system, I would have expected to pay well over twice as much as what I was charged and been glad of it. It's really like having a "friend in the business"

First of all, I was sold on Lancaster Plumbing with the customer service over the phone just making the appt. Very friendly. Kevin was nothing less than professional and courteous. He even knew how to put my dog at ease and was very personable. He knew what he was doing and you could tell he wasn't there to make a buck. I was supposed to have another plumber come out through my brother's company, but they could not get there before next week. So I found Lancaster Plumbing on Angie's list. Definitely put my mind at ease from the get go. I will use again in the future and I will refer anyone who needs a plumber. Thank you so much! No more doing laundry at the laundromat!

The original estimate was $275, Derek not only fixed the leaky problem, he figured a way to make my original cost lower to $150!!! I call this honest, integrity, and quality work!!!!! Plumbing Heating and Cooling allow the customer to purchase their own parts and not force them to purchase the parts from them. Thank you, thank you and more thank you.

It went well. The man was prompt, professional and explained everything to me, plus, answered all my questions.

Service was on time, he was in a marked truck with the employee in a marked shirt. Also had a business card with their picture on it. In and out fast. Very friendly. Price was good.
