My original appointment with Lanc PH went very well. The provider arrived on time, assessed an outdoor drain and then cleared a drain in the master tub. The man was professional, punctual, and efficient. He did the job and left. When I called again, it was because a toilet was running and leaking. Another man arrived on time to assess the work. I had been told by the friendly customer service agent that a fee for showing up would be incurred and I agreed to it. I also understood that the plumbing professional would then provide me with an estimate for the work and (if possible) complete the job. The plumber arrived on time and informed me upon inspection that I needed a new toilet (although the current one was only 7 years old and minus the current issue, was functioning well). Additionally, the plumber informed me that even if I agreed to the repair, he wouldn't be able to fix it as he did not have the Kohler parts (which was understandable, the toilet is 7 years old). The estimate to fix the toilet was in excess of $300.00 and a new toilet exceeded this amount. I was really surprised. I needed to get another estimate and was disappointed as I was out the service call fee and still stuck with a broken toilet. I called another plumber who came out and fixed the toilet that day for under $100.00 I was floored. I called up Lanc Plumb and Heat and told the customer service person what had happened. She assured me that she would relay the story to management. To their credit, Lanc Plumb and Heat REFUNDED me the service fee which was truly appreciated. The only reason I would not use them again is that the plumber who fixed the toilet is headquartered out of my area and is familiar with the challenges of my home's older plumbing. I was impressed that the previous vendor returned the service fee.

Moved into a new house with a list of fairly minor issues from our inspection report. Main issue was the previous owner had installed a garbage disposal himself and messed up the plumbing under the sink in the process. Needed to get that redone. Initial consult went well, plumber even advised us not to fix some issues around the furnace given the age of the furnace and the fact that should we replace it soon those issues would be taken care of as part of the install of a new unit. Estimate for the work under the sink was a tad higher than what I would have expected, but had them come back to do the work. Job under the sink was grade A, went above and beyond. We will have no further issues under there and everything works. But I had also asked the plumber about replacing two feet (a total of two feet) of galvanized pipe that had been used around the furnace with black pipe (it is a gas furnace). His initial thought was it wouldn't be that expensive (less than $100 he guessed) and he had the stuff on the truck to do it. Next thing I know, he's on the phone with the office and suddenly he is writing an estimate up for $1,000 to redo ALL of the gas pipe into the furnace and then into the gas stove. He's also seeing "other things that concern him" and basically using a job as an excuse to come up with more things to work on. Started to feel very slimy. I am willing to take recommendations, but when I let you into my house to do a job I don't appreciate it turning into a sales call.

They did pretty good job. I really like their service so much that I would probably use them again. My wife liked that they gave my kids a coloring book. They were clean and professional.

I had a slow house drain and unfortunately, after trying to clear the clog myself with a plunger and drain cleaners the drain became completely blocked. I was forced to seek professional help and purchased their service through Angie's List on a Saturday. They returned my call first thing Monday and were on site by noon. Their Technician arrived and explained his diagnoses, course of action and had it flowing quickly. He took his time and explained everything in detail. The added value of a video inspection was well received as I was worried about tree roots possibly breaking into the line. I believe I found a new plumber after using a few not so competent plumbers.

: This is the only company of the three others we used over past 6 years that actually offered a guarantee on their service. We are covered for 6 months, which I found to be exceptional for drain clearing. Would definitely recommend them to others.

I purchased a deal to have our sewer line cleaned and by the end of the same day, the technician was at our house, fixing the blockage. These guys were fantastic!! (And the service didn't cost a penny more than what we had paid for the deal.) I would totally recommend them!!

I purchased the $69 special at approx 11:15am on 2/14/14. The technician was at my house by 12:20pm the same day. They did a great job and were very punctual.

Kevin was great. Thet showed up on time and did a great job. They worked clean and made recommendations to avoid future clogs. I will use then for any future plumbing work.

Scheduling was fine. Communication wsa great he showed us what he saw on the camera.

When I called to schedule an appointment we were scheduled promptly within couple days with ease. The tech came and the heater check up was performed & completed. He explained everything to my spouse. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I went with this company because they had a $49 coupon for HVAC diagnostic services and I had a problem with my gas furnace. Setting an appointment was straight forward and the technician arrived on time as promised. He got to work straight away and quickly diagnosed the problem- the furnace needed a new thermocouple. I had done some research and troubleshooting of my own, the technician just confirmed what I suspected. He went back to his van to prepare an estimate for the repairs before proceeding and returned with a written estimate for the work. I was shocked when he handed me the repair bill -it was for $343! The part costs around $10 and it takes about 10-15 minutes to install, knowing this beforehand naturally I declined repair. Fortunately for me, my coworker recommended a friend (who is a licensed HVAC technician) . This tech brought the part with him and my furnace was up and running within a short period of time after he also cleaned and serviced the furnace. He could not understand how this company could justify such a high price for something relatively simple to resolve.

Did not hire. Estimate was for $248. Hired another Licensed jouirneyman plumber and he did the work for $112.75.

They were great! Came in and performed a tune up. They advised that due to age the water heater may not last but the service and professionalism was outstanding and we would use them again!

The service person did an excellent job and was polite and courteous the whole time. I have no problems with that. On that basis I would use them again. However, I paid for the service using a credit card, and only a week later found out the card was maxed out. I was informed through the buyer's RE agent that I needed to pay the bill. I was confused, so I contacted the credit card and discovered the problem. I used another card to pay the bill. My problem with Lancaster Plumbing and Heating was that they shared my information with a third party without my consent. They didn't contact me directly. Because of this, I refuse to do any business with them. I feel my trust was betrayed.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List. He was fantastic. We have a backup where we have a septic tank and there was a clog somewhere in the line. So anytime we flushed the toilet or took a shower, etc., it was coming out of the shower on the bottom floor. We have three bathrooms. We really did not know what was going on, so I called somebody and they told me to get this strongest Liquid-Plumr gel max from Home Depot and I had done that. So by the time the guy got here actually the clog was already cleared, but he let me watch as he went through all the lines and showed me that all the lines were clear and looked good. He was very professional. I was happy to have him out here. It kind of feels bad to have called somebody out here when actually Liquid-Plumr fixed the problem, but now I know for future reference that the pipes are in pretty good shape and what to do. Their price is extremely fair for somebody to come out to your house and do the things that they were willing to do. He went above and beyond showing me with the computer screen and going back and forth through the pipes to show me everything, so yes he did a great job. He was out here pretty quick. He was actually running a little bit late, but he called to tell me and I was here all day anyway. So he was fine, he was only 10 minutes late. I did not have any problem with it.

Contacted them in the morning requesting an estimate to repair a water heater. They promised a repair window of 1-4. They did not show up until after 5pm but they did not charge me overtime rates for the service. Plumber was reluctant to provide a repair estimate but was very interested in giving me quotes to replace water heater. Plumber smelled like an ashtray, so much so that his odor lingered after he was gone. Uncomfortable with the information provided I sought a second opinion. As it turns out, repairing was an option and each of the quotes from the second plumber was several hundred dollars cheaper than Lancaster Plumbing. Later during a follow up call the plumber outright told me they are not competitive price wise and that no one who gets a second opinion goes with them.

See above. I am very glad he was thorough. He had video equipment and could diagnose the problem. After days of sewer water leaking into my basement it finally stopped the day at this plumber came and diagnosed the problem

His comments were acute and educational. His observations were on point, and useful for this new owner of an old home. We went over four floors of plumbing, and he reviewed everything.

My boiler was leaking water all over my basement. I was scared to death that I'd have to replace it and be facing a $5000 bill (at least!). The guy from Lancaster Plumbing came out and found the problem. He actually went to a hardware store to find a part that he didn't have with him to stop the leak. My boiler is OLD and he not only fixed the problem, but told me exactly what I needed if it started leaking again since the seal he put on wouldn't last forever. VERY GOOD SERVICE. He went above and beyond.

Tech arrived on time. This leak was during me crazy. He found the leak. He was very professional even though he was sick.

They came when they were supposed too. They made good recommendations, so that was good. They came out right away and they were pretty prompt. They were pretty knowledgeable and did not try to rip us off. The price was fair. I would use them again.

They were expensive. They accurate in getting the quote on time. They quoted $980 for the job.

We called and Lancaster Plumbing responded the same day. They tested the water and explained the options. The technician did not try to force unnecessary options or service. Lancaster Plumbing installed the softener the next day. Installation went very well. The technician explained the operation thoroughly and answered all our questions. There have been no issues since installation. Price marked N/A because we did not get other quotes.
