The work that was done through the Angie's List deal was so impressive and thorough that one would never have realized that the servicemen were working at such discounted prices. They were so exacting in assuring that everything related to the heating system for each of the furnaces and boilers was addressed and that those needing correction (radiators bled and more air forced through the system for maximum capacity) were properly completed. They were so pleasant and professional and explained in detail what they were doing for each system. They are now my providers for both plumbing and heating concerns and I feel trust and confidence in their being such..

They came on time (two servicemen) and really spent a lot of time going over our furnace. It's 22 years old and had n't been checked in a few years. The only thing they recommended were CO detectors for our bedrooms, which they don't even provide (meaning they don't make any $ from that suggestion). They were careful not to bring mud into the house, which I also really appreciated.

They were informative and very through, helpful and knowledgeable.

The quality was good and his responsiveness was very good. I will use him again in the future.

My shower had been leaking for quite sometime and I kept putting it off concerned about an additional bill. When I saw the deal for the plumbing services I figured now was the time to get it done. Worked out very well haven't had any problems since the repair. The Service man was on time and did a good job and the price was right. I would use them again if I had a plumbing need. Did not go according to plan as the main reason for me scheduling the call was to have the garbage disposal repaired. The plumber upon inspection immediately noted that the garbage disposal needed to be replaced because it had deteriorated (rusted out). He offered to repair, but upon receiving the quote for how much Sullivan would charge, I declined. The price was far too high. The plumber was very professional and did take the time to explain a little about the different types and quality of disposal I might want to consider in my continued pursuit to get my disposal repaired.

They were friendly and on time according to schedule. They were thorough with cleaning the furnace.

I would give them a call back. They come when they say they are going to come. They put on booties when they come in so they are clean.

John Sullivan did the work. He did a very good job. I was very happy with it. When we called them they had grown and the price was more. He was a very competent and cooperative individual.

We have been using them for about 40 some years, we are pleased with them. We have never had any problems. They do the plumbing work for us.

They are professional, courteous, and pleasant. They come when they say they will come. They do a good job. I have been a home owner for 50 years and have used several plumbing services in this area. They are the first people I would now call. I would recommend them to anyone.

Met the plumber tech at the door (they were prompt and on time), showed the work areas and work desired. They used the standard estimating book and gave me quote. I accepted the quote, they left to get the parts required and returned the same day. They explained each procedure and completed the work. They were extremely courteous and competent. I will definitely use them again.

Starting out with an Angies List coupon that came precisely when I needed that service, it gave me a chance to try out the Sullivan plumbing service. The job they did was replace an old vent pipe in the basement which had corroded. The new pipe interfaced with all other vents in the basement, and they added a clean out access point to the new pipe. That was a good thing because I recently had to use it to snake out a downstream clog. The crew involved were clean-cut, courteous and professional. With the coupon this was certainly the best plumbing bargain I've gotten in a long time. I should mention that I also needed to have some washers in dripping faucets replaced and thought that would be a minimal charge especially since they were already on the job site....but I was stunned at their charge for that service. It seems they have a book of prices for jobs regardless of whether they come just for that job or if it is part of several services. I did not have them fix the drips. But based on what they did I could see they are a fine company, reliable, and structured to provide a good product/service. I would definitely use them again....if the price is reasonable.

I bought into the 'Big Deal' from Angie's List - $200 worth of plumbing for $99. Frankly, I think it's a rip off where companies adjust their price up to compensate for the discount. In fairness to Sullivan, the technician did quote me the price and I agreed, primarily because I wanted to get the job done and out of the way. Here's the rub though - after buying the Big Deal, I contacted Sullivan and asked approximately how much it would cost to have a toilet installed and a shut off valve installed. The woman on the phone said she couldn't say and that a technician would have to look at it. When the technician came and looked at it, he told me that they don't price by the hour, but by a book. Since that is the case, the woman I originally spoke with should have been able to quote me over the phone and at that point I would have declined and tried to get a refund of my initial payment of $99 from Angie's List. Being in the trades myself, I understand the cost of doing business. I don't begrudge any service provider from making a fair profit from their work. I understand that legitimate businesses have taxes to pay, overhead for vehicles, insurance, health insurance for their employess (hopefully), and even advertisement. With this considered, I don't usually complain about pricing. However, the quoted cost for the above mentioned work (about 1 1/2 hours work) was $364 before the Angies list 'discount.' That comes to about $182 an hour. You tell me. Does that sound like normal pricing? It's not, and that's my basic gripe. I'm not sure if I should feel foolish or angry. In the end, I have resigned myself to feeling as if I am not only paying for the work, but for the 1 year warranty on workmanship. The original appointment was for two days earlier, in the afternoon. Sullivan called me around 3:30 and told me they were running late and wouldn't be able to arrive until about 5PM. This was impossible for me so we rescheduled for two days later in the morning. The technician Marcus was friendly, neat, and well spoken which is something I personally appreciate. He did the job very well and efficiently. The installation of the valve, chrome sleeve, and toilet looks very good. Solid and level. Having said all this, I realize that it is completely on me for agreeing to the price. I write this review, only to warn other possible customers who are considering the Big Deal. It's not a good deal.

The service was great. They came within 45 minutes. I would call them again.

I was professionally greeted and overall a good experience.

We made an appointment, and they told me I would need a new regulator on the home, which was $589. Because he came out, he told me I owed him $50 for the trip charge. I called a few other plumbers, and I ended up getting a new regulator on the home for $150. The technician was nice, but I don’t think it was very professional to overcharge like that.

The project was done neatly. A job well done.

They had to come out a total of three times to resolve the problem, and we were charged each time. I thought their communication was poor. Overall, I wasn’t very impressed.

They are very prompt, and neat. For example, their servicemen will put on booties before entering your home. They do tend to be rather expensive, and I think they may be a little over priced.

They schedule quickly, come on time, and are very professional. They are consistently courteous and take care to cover their shoes with covers whenever the enter your house. They tell you in advance exactly what the service or product will cost. Their charges may be slightly higher than others might charge, but we think they are worth the difference. We have used their services for decades.

They are prompt, and the servicemen are friendly. I liked that they took the time to explain things.

My experience was mixed. They did a pretty good job, and the technician they sent was very polite. However, they noticed my furnace was old, and ended up selling me a new one. I had originally called them about the French drain, as wasn’t really looking to get a new furnace at the time. I regret that additional purchase. It was an expensive unit, and I could found something with a better efficiency. I feel like I was up sold, and I don’t like that.
