The guy was very informative. He was pretty good.

I was given an estimate by the technician from Sullivan Super Service for the repair of two commodes - $683. I agreed to the cost as I felt that it was a big job. I was not told that the job required two bolts and a seal for each commode. I was not told that each commode required 15 minutes of labor. At the completion of the job, when I questioned him about the exorbitant price, he explained that the price reflects vehicles, insurances, taxes (etc.) paid by Sullivan Super Service His recommendation to keep the costs down was to hire a handyman I fault myself for not asking more questions prior to the job. When I called Sullivan Super Service the following day and asked for the owner or office manager to justify the price, I was told that I was given a quote and that they do not charge by the hour or by labor required. I informed them that I was going to write a review, and I provided them with a copy. I will not call Sullivan Super Service ever again as I still feel that the price was way out of line for the work involved. I have used them before, and even though I felt that their prices were somewhat high, I appreciated their promptness. However, the above costs are ridiculous for 30 minutes of labor. And the next time I will call a handyman, as I do use several reputable ones. I didn’t mention the fingerprints left on the wall behind the commode and the dirt on the bathroom floor. Watch for price gouging - call someone else.

When the technician came I thought I was getting a plumber for $39 an hour. All they did was come out and give me an estimate on any work that might be done. It was basically what would be a free consultation anywhere else and I paid $39 for it. The technician was a nice, young man who was apologetic.

We got a big deal from Angie’s List. The experience was very good. They came and inspected the A/c and said it was okay. They said that we may need some help for the furnace in the fall. Then they adjusted the power in the water heater which was going out. So they did a very good job. It was a super deal.

Our kitchen sink had a frayed hose on the sprayer. I was out of town for several months, and was unable to handle this myself, so I called Sullivan to come take a look. I got a call that the plumber couldn't replace the sprayer hose, that he'd need to replace the entire faucet. I told my wife to let them go ahead with the repair. I'm told (again I wasn't there) the whole thing took less than two hours, much closer to an hour total. The invoice they left showed no time in-out, nor the model # of the faucet, only the charge. Then I got the bill. $975. For a new kitchen faucet. The faucet was being sold by Lowes for $187, and the work time was somewhere between 1-2 hours. Needless to say, this was simply unacceptable and I called them several times to try and get an explanation. To make a long story short, I absolutely refused to pay the bill. I told them we'd simply have to come to an understanding, because I wasn't paying what they invoiced. After a few weeks of this back and forth, I received a call from someone in their office. She was quite pleasant in asking me what I would agree to pay. In the interest of just putting this to rest, I agreed to pay $500.00. Through this all, I had a signed service contract for HVAC maintenance that without any notice whatsoever, they've decided to ignore. So just to review, $975 for a new kitchen faucet (when only the hose was frayed on the sprayer) and also they've ignored two maintenance cycles on my home system now without any notice. Oh, and the kitchen faucet was installed backwards. I'm not even kidding. When I finally got home, I had to end up fixing it anyway.

It went very well. I have had them come out twice. They were very honorable.

I bought Angie's List super deal of $99 for $200 worth of plumbing. When they got here, they were quite prompt, courteous, but when I asked them if they could change my faucet fixture, they said that it would cost me at least $600, plus materials. They nice enough folks, but were very pricey. They did manage to fix my leaky faucet, and tried very hard to sell me their plumbing maintenance package, which I declined. For the price they are commanding and the services they are offering, I don't think it was a good value.

I had a coupon with them. They were a little pricier than the other ones, but not by much.

He was good and very helpful with suggestions. The drain was plugged and he couldn't really fix it, though he did try to unplug it. He said the garage floor would need to be torn up and new pipes installed in order to fix the problem.

A toilet line clogged from toilet to the driveway cleanout. Sullivan got it flowing again and all seemed well. Paid approx $500.About a month later, the same line was clogged again, and paid another $500 to reclean the line. No problems after that.Snaking the line made a real mess. Sullivan cleaned it all up. The only disappointment was the need for them to return a month later. I don't know how to evaluate whether it could have all been managed the first time, or whether we simply clogged the line again.

The work was done ok, but for a high price (even discounting the fact that the appointment had originally been set up for a different service, and then been altered), and with a lot of attempted cross-selling.

The installation went well overall. I believe Sullivan's price may be a bit high but they are very reliable and I am confident that any problems that arise will be taken care of in a timely manner. We have used them before for general plumbing and installation of a heater for our third floor. There were some minor technical problems with the heater install but they came back very promptly each time we called until everything was fixed. So far the ac system is fine (though it hasn't been hot since!) Having had problems with other plumbing companies in the past, I think the slightly higher price is well worth it.

Overall, I was pleased with the service Gary provided. I will do homework to compare prices on the estimates for additional plumbing needs. If satisfied that Sullivan's prices are fair, I will contract for the services.

Home is over 100 years old and neighbors recently had a sewer back up so I decided it was time to check things out by taking advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal. I bought an Angie's List Big Deal coupon for sewer cleaning and inspection from Sullivan. Received my coupon via email and called for an appointment and scheduled the appointment for first call of the day in order to minimize work absence. I received a reminder call at 7:30a on the day of the appointment saying that they were on their way and that they would arrive at 8:00a, their scheduled appointment time. The two employees did not arrive until 8:30a, but quickly got to work. After a brief inspection in the basement they identified two access points from which to run their camera and check for problems. They were very thorough and explained each step of the process as they were going along. I was even allowed to look over their shoulder to watch the camera video and they explained what they were seeing, making sure to identify both positive things and potential problems. In the end my sewer line was in remarkably good shape, but Sullivan did identify an issue where the bottom of a segment of cast iron pipe had eroded away and needed to be replaced. They wrote up a bid for the work before they left and explained everything that needed to be done and why. I will be calling soon to schedule the work with them.

They were prompt, clean, and thoroughly explained everything. They were very patient, and gave me some great suggestions. They even called before they came, put on shoe covers when they came in my house, and were very nice to work with. I was extremely pleased with their service, and I would highly recommend them.

The technician did a very thorough job with the inspection. He was able to answer my questions about the furnace and gave me confidence that it was in good working order. He did recommend that we needed to replace our filter more often and that would help to extend the life of the furnace. We were also given a quote for a whole house humidifier (which I requested when I made the appointment.

It went very well. As a result of that visit, I call them whenever I need anything. The service manager came to look at the furnace. He was friendly, professional, and knew what he was doing. I was happy with the results.

service man looked at the air conditioning unit. Stated that the capacitor was bad and it unit needed recharged. Also stated that a contactor would also need replaced possibly in the next year. Service man did not have the capacitor on the truck and had to get it from another truck. The man installed it and then charged the unit. In two days the capacitor failed again and we called for service again. We were told we would have to or service as they were busy. I told them the man was just here and we were having the same problem. Someone was sent out the next day. It was a different service man and he was a lot nicer and explained what happened. He put in a different capacitor and then it seemed to be working much better. After the second incident I had called the owner and requested my $99 service fee be refunded as his price seemed to be extremely high. He did agree to refund my $99. I had to make a second call and then I was told the check was in the mail. I did receive the check a few days later. I was also told the contactor would be around $600.00 to replace. I told the owner I thought his charges were on the high side. He stated he is on the high side because his truck are fully loaded with parts, which I told him was not true in my situation. He also told me his men wear uniforms so people know who they are. I told him he was giving my excused for him charging extremely high prices. This year I had my unit recheck by another company and they replaced the contactor and recheck the unit and charged $113.00 for the service call. I think paying $113.00 for the same job Sullivan was going to do for $600.00 speaks volumes for itself. The address is 1141 Cascade Drive, not 1137. I cannot change it so I am mentioning it here.

He was very professional and well informed about the job. He actually saved me from getting a new furnace at the time. He was very nice. I would recommend their services.

It was great. They were very clean. A couple of weeks after the installation we heard a loud banging noise They came out right away and made the repairs. We were really happy with the service. The installers were quite knowledgeable, they were on time, and everything was good. We received four different estimates and they were the best price.
