I wish I knew more about why things don't work. I am apying for services for things that are easy fixes.

He was prompt, courteous and efficient. It only took a few minutes and he was finished. I am very pleased with the work and actually the spigot is so much easier for me to use now. My old one was hard to turn. I have used Sullivan in the past and have been very pleased with their work. I was happy to see that Angie offered this special and took advantage of the great price.

Plumber arrived promptly after call to me that he was on his way. Very courteous. Performed work in timely manner, improved water flow after work performed, easier faucet handle. Very pleased with work.

The above remarks cover all the services performed in August and my satisfaction/dissatisfaction.

They came and turned the furnace off. There was a single mother living there so they were going to bring heaters for them. They wanted $4000, so I told them that I would try and get the money by the next day. They called me at 6 in the morning to tell me that they were going to go and take the heaters back. I had to call another heating company and they came and did the same service for $1000 less.

Not well, paid $39.00 for recommendations. Stated I could apply $39.00 if additional work scheduled. Prices too high.

They identified the reason behind problem quickly, which was that a panel was not properly closed. They then continued to check everything else out. It was handles very professionally.

The company's operator was very courteous. My wife dealt with the repair man but I spoke with him over the phone. he was very professional and patient (My 2 year old was throwing a tantrum). he explained everything thoroughly to me over the phone and explained my options to me. A little pricey, but all professional plumbers are! I was pleased and the work was done right.

Punctual, clean, performed as expected.

Nice guy, well mannered, was able to retrieve a toothbrush from within our toilet after about 15 min of attempting to clear the line. he then took a look at our furnace and sent out a heating and cooling guy who was so educated and well informed in his line of work. He spent over 2 hours here. Very knowledgable and seemed to sincerely want to help us find the ,it's cost effective and quality efficient solution to our ancient furnace problems. This company is great at what they do.

They showed up on time, inspected my furnace. I needed it cleaned/inspected as a contingency for selling my home. The furnace was 30 years old, but still runs great. He didn't find any issues. Took a little over an hour. I am satisfied with the service!

They were ontime and their inspection was very detailed and informative.

They came to do a mechanical and safety inspection on my boiler; I was also in need of some training about its use because this is the first time I have had this kind of system. The tech was uniformed, put on paper booties to come in the house. He thoroughly checked the boiler, answered all my questions. He had a meter to check the boiler for carbon monoxide issues, and while he had it out, he also measured around my water heater and my dryer, which was not part of the "official" inspection but very reassuring. He also showed me how to bleed the air out of the system at the boiler, but after that step, we could still hear air bubbling through the pipes, so he showed me how to use the key to bleed the baseboard units -- THEN, he went around the house and bled ALL the units, all the way up to the third floor!

Gary G. came out to my house, reported on time and was task oriented. He provided & installed a new hose faucet in the back yard with a new ball valve on the inside of my home. This job included the removeal of the old hardware. He also pointed out things I may need in the future but not immediate needs. He gave me an estimate on what the other things would cost. He was very honest and not pushy about some of the other items he had mentioned. He stayed here working a solid 2 hours and he was clean and neat and kept everything orderly. He did more work than I anticipated making sure that the work was done right. He was just wonderful. I will call Gary G again as I was impressed with his professionism.

I purchased a "big deal" from Angie's list for drain cleaning and plumbing inspection. Unfortunately, the technician was unable to clean the drain because of antiquated plumbing so I asked for an estimate to replace some corroded pipes and valves in the laundry area. I was expecting to have to schedule the work for another day, but he was able to do it on the spot. I was pleased with the result & the price was fair. I would definitely hire this company again.

Once I purchased the coupon from Angie's list I contacted Sullivan to set up my appointment. The person I spoke to was very professional and I felt very good about the customer service I received. The appointment was set and I was told that someone would call ahead the day before to let me know what time they would be arriving. The day of the appointment I received a call from Sullivan notifying me that they would have to reschedule my appointment because they would not be able to send someone out that day. The appointment was made at least a week in advance and I was a little upset that the appointment was cancelled that day. I was fortunate because my husband is retired and was at home so a reschedule did not cost me time off work. Once the person did come to service our air conditioner my husband was pleased with the service that was provided. I personally would not use them again not because of the service they provided but because the reschedule was not in the same week but further out which makes me feel that my service was a low priority.

I was very dissatisfied with their service as they only did an inspection and no tune up. Will need to consult with another plumber. I feel like I wasted my time by taking time off work to come home for this superficial inspection. Several items listed in the Big Deal were not performed as well.

Paid attention to the job i.e., no distractions or delays that wasted time special was 79 each for each of two faucets plus 100 for the washtub faucet (which was an add-on). At 79 per hour 3hours (approx. time of job would have equaled 237. Hiring by the hour would have been a better deal. work seems to have been properly done (have not tested all faucets but have had no drips, either.

Showed up on time but prices were absolutely out of line.

They stand behind their work. They always train their workers. They send out a newsletter to the customers that are on their maintenance plan. They are very clean. I've been with them for many years.

Very professional but very expensive.

The company canceled the appointment twice - meaning I took 2 days off work to sit at home and wait for them to come within a 4 hour time period, only to have them call well into that 4 hour time period to tell me they couldn't make it. The technician finally made it on the third scheduled appointment. The AC needed recharged - which I knew before he arrived. He did charge it, but it's still not working well. No other work was done. No plumbing inspection was performed. I was charged the full amount for the AC charging - no discount given for the Big Deal I purchased - the Big Deal that wasn't really given to me even though I paid $49.99 for it. I guess it really is Buyer Beware - no such thing as a real "Big Deal". The technician was a very nice young man - but this company is not so nice.

Other than having to reschedule due to an emergency call on their part (but they were prompt to call and reschedule), everything went perfectly. The service tech was both friendly and professional and explained everything. I was hoping to have him give me an estimate for a new furnace, but he was unable to do so. Instead, he scheduled an appointment for an estimate with someone else from his company before he left.

The two guys who came to my house were very nice and professional. The initial cost for their visit was $89, which they increased to $99 (with my approval) when they suggested they do a smoke test. They stayed for about 1.5 hours. I heard those smoke tests and snake camera inspections can be quite expensive, so I was very happy with the $99 it cost me to have the work performed! It was determined that two places needed repairs: 1) replace the drain in the kitchen2) replace the drain in the basement floor (which involves jack-hammering the concrete, putting new pipe in, and pouring concrete back). So far, so good. The surprise came when they offered me the estimate for the job: around $6,000! That felt over-priced. I told them I'd think about it, then had two other plumbers come over and look at the issue. Their estimates was around $1,500, for the same job. What's more, one of them proposed a two step solution: first fixing the kitchen problem for $350, then if there was still a problem in the basement, fix that for $1,200. Needless to say, I chose that option. So overall, the Sullivan guys were very nice, professional, and clean. I really appreciated their help in diagnosing the problem. But the cost of actually fixing the problem was just prohibitive, so I would recommend getting at least a few other estimates before going with them for any major repairs. I'm giving them a 'C' for price, as an average between 'A' for the price I got for the evaluation, and 'F' for the price of the estimate.
