Sullivan Super Service Plumbing Heating & Cooling were excellent. They were very, very professional. It was fine.

The plumber arrived on time, was neat, professional and replaced the seal. He answered all of my questions and left the bathroom spotless.

I ordered a big deal coupon to apply toward placement of an automatic flow shutoff valve to prevent leaks should my washing machine hose break. I scheduled my work with this as the reason for service. When the plumber showed up he did not have the necessary parts. However, he was very knowledgable and recommend an alternative. Although it wasn't exactly what I had in mind, it still achieved the desired effect and was less costly. The part I was initially planning on having installed would have been more expensive and required spening more than I already had on the coupon. The plumber also didn't have the part he recommended so he went to a local supply store, purchased it and came back to install it. The work was done neatly without much delay. When the plumber was checking my water pressure he thought there might have been a leak. He did a thorough search but found no leak. This was done at no additional charge. Finally, he asked me some questions about my HVAC system. I could have done without the attempt to sell me a service contract but this was the only downside from my point of view.

The service technician was polite, punctual, and knowledgeable. I was disappointed when he said that his water pressure gauge "just broke this afternoon", so he couldn't tell me if my house water pressure was too high. I was also a bit surprised when he talked me out of the hot water tank flush and fill. Maybe I'm out of touch with what plumbing service costs, but his prices seemed exceptionally high. He did describe his ocmpany as the "Cadillac" of local plumbing, with lots of overhead for advertising, 24-hour availablility, fleet of trucks, etc. In this case, I didn't need a Cadillac - I wanted to pay for a Chevy (both will get you where you want to go, right?). I appreciate his willingness to negotiate the services I really wanted against the price I was willing to pay. But I doubt that I would use this company again, only based on price. I don't need a "Cadillac" in the bathroom.

Very prompt, even wore booties to make sure no mess was made inside the house. Very polite and friendly. Answered all my questions. Would definitely use them again!

I called and scheduled the appointment where the scheduler was very professional. On the day the technician came out, he was on time and very professional. He put on his booties...checked out the problem and quickly identified the issue. He had to shut off the water for an hour while he picked up the new part which he explained to me. He was able to obtain the new part at the local plumbing supply store and I was able to return the one I had bought and tried. Great customer service internal and face to face.

I was able to schedule an appointment easily enough to get the work done. Thankfully, someone answers the phone when you call and actually does the scheduling. That was a welcome thing since I had been having a hard time getting a hold of other plumbers. I was given a time frame in the morning in which to expect the technician. He did arrive during that time frame and I did receive a phone call that day to let me know when he'd be there for sure. The technician was polite, professional, and very courteous. I explained what I needed done. He took a look at the scope of the job and then showed me a printed out cafeteria list of prices for various basic services that the company provides. He almost seemed apologetic without saying it, and when he quoted me the price to put in the faucet, I just about fell over....Their actual price was $525 to replace a customer provided kitchen faucet but with the Angie's list coupon, the price was lowered by $83, thus the $442. I felt a pit in my stomach. I knew this price was OUTRAGEOUS, but I had been trying for a couple months to get anyone to do the job and here was a plumber willing and able to do it in front of me. I don't fault the plumber himself - he was just an employee for the company. I thought long and hard about this but in the end as much as I shouldn't have, I permitted him to do the job in spite of my serious reservations about their installation costs. I even said to the plumber that I was told this faucet was supposed to be easy enough to be self-installed so I didn't understand why their price was so high. He just replied, "Well, it's really not easy, that's why". After I reluctantly agreed to the installation charge, the plumber got to work immediately and was very neat and showed respect for my property. He put shoe covers on every time he came in the house from the outside while accessing equipment from his truck. I had gone online in the interim and found out after the fact that the going rate for a job like this in the Pittsburgh area should have been around $163.00 so I was even more mortified. I felt like I was so taken....... The plumber worked for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes to completion. No complications, no additional parts were necessary to complete the work. My old faucet wasn't that difficult to remove either. He did a neat and clean job. So, this company seems to charge at least $525 an hour......total highway robbery in my opinion!! They rope you in under the guise of the Angie's List coupon making you think you're getting a deal when you are totally NOT. It's too bad too. Originally, I had mentioned to this plumber that I was in need of ongoing plumbing services in general because we have a boiler and hot water heating system which needs maintenance and service continually. He provided information on this type of service with a contract, but after this experience, there was NO WAY that I would ever hire this company again. Their rates were EXORBITANT and I felt taken advantage of. I had even suggested to the plumber that they should let customers know upfront prior to scheduling the job what the typical costs were for basic services since they already had a list with the prices stated. Again, I was told they can't possibly do that. Had I known when I called them that $525 was what they charged, I would have never used them to begin with. My fault here was agreeing to have the work done once I knew the price. I should have cancelled it right then and there. My husband even tried to discuss the outrageous rates with the owner of the company. He called and spoke to the owner's wife who took a message. He explained to her that his recourse without any remedy from the company would be through an Angie's list review. Well, big surprise! the owner never returned my husband's call to explain their reasons for pricing their services so excessively. I probably would have given them a "D" in the price field had he at least made an effort to speak to my husband. But since he did not, that's the reason I gave this company an "F" in pricing. Learn from my huge mistake here - research typical rates for various jobs first before even calling anyone. You can do that by googling that phrase. Ask the contractor what their ballpark figure is for the various job you need done before even scheduling it. Most know what they typically charge upfront. Secondly, just because a company offers an Angie's List coupon doesn't mean they will be the best deal out there or even be good to deal with. Make sure you find an "Angie's List super service provider" not a provider that uses "super service" in their title when it is clearly not the case!

We had a porta-john in the basement and at 8:20 both Greg and Joe arrived and proceeded to go to work! Our Bathroom has been cosmetically done a number of times prior and after we moved in so their work was cut out for them! They not only had to go thru a wood strip floor, but also the tile and concrete underneath as well as moving the toilet and sink cabinet than sawing thru pipes both from the bathroom and the basement which also caused many problems! An access panel for the tub had to be gotten to from our computer room which mean moving some electronic equipment which I was unable to do! Gary and Joe did both move it and move it back! While here I had also asked them to place a new drain arrangement in the tub to allow us to take baths which they also did! The clean up was done to perfection and Greg also arranged to have a company come out to replace the flooring and wall tile the next day as well as promising to repair a broken spigot in my basement! The Job was not done till after 4:00 p.m. and we were totally satisfied!! Both workers left totally exhausted!

Overall, I was satisfied. They didn't do the 5-point toilet tune-up but my toilets are working fine now.

I found that their prices were too high. I think that their work is pretty good, the technician that came out was very knowledgeable and seemed to know what he was talking about. The only reason I did not choose them was the fact the price was a little high. I might use him in the future.

I arranged for the plumber to be at our home on 04/30/2013 and to call ahead! We were told he would be here between 8 to noon and would call ahead! We received a call ta eight a.m. to be here in 1/2 hour which he did! The plumbers name was Gary and he checked out the tub and the trap and found no problem there, but when he snaked lower he found a major problem in that some pipes were corroded closed! He than said that because the tub drain and the toilet drain were tied in, he may be able to free up that way, but we would have a fee for disconnecting and reconnecting the toilet! I said go for it, after many hours and much work with the electric drain cleaner, he still was unable to free up the drain! He than sat down with us and worked up a possible future plan to replace the bad pipes and redo the tub drainage system! All in all he was here from 8:30 to about 11:30 a.m. and arranged for a clean up crew to also work on the job after the plumbing id done!

This was an Angie's List Big Deal. The Technician was so nice, even to my dogs. He got to work, and got it done so fast. The Customer Service Representatives are also great! Well worth my money, I will call them again in the future for plumbing, or heating in my home.

He was a good plumber, plumbing is just expensive in general.

The original appointment was changed several times. Both times, I was not even notified that the serviceman was not coming that afternoon and was told they couldn't give an exact time for the appointment, and the serviceman would call 'half an hour' before showing up. Well, we waited all afternoon both days, and never showed up. When Brad finally came on the 3rd day, he was pleasant enough, and tried to fix the toilet shut-off, which was done successfully for one toilet but not for the older one. For the laundry tub, he claimed trap and pipes were too old, and removal might not be possible without damaging the pipes/connections. Gave me an estimate of $1600 - $1800 to replace the tub and drain pipes. Least expensive option was to try plunger/water pressure to unclog the drain. He did this, but basically did not improve the slow drainage situation when I next did the laundry. So, the service call was a waste of money as far as we were concerned, in addition to being aggravating to have to wait around for 3 days.

They did a great job. There were a few issues, but they were able to take care of it. They walked me through some of the issues. I was very happy with the work.

The service techs and phone support staff are very professional and very knowledgable. I had no problems with any one so far, and am happy to have a service plan with them and will continue to use them for all my plumbing and HVAC needs.

Service man worked quickly and cleaned up. Drain works fine now.

I left voice mail the night before, they called my first thing in the morning and scheduled. There was a mix up on who would be coming and when, however we were able to resolve. The plumber was great.

Excellent. The company called to tell me when to epecft them - they were verty punctual, polite and professional. He did what he needed to do very timely - explained to me what he did and was gone. I was extremely impressed (which it is not easy for me because I've been burned so much. I wuld definitely use them again.

They provided the services as stated and I was satisfied with the work. Felt it was a bit of a sales push to move to a tankless water heater even though my water heater is fine and will be for years to come.

It went fine. These guys are always professional, and the receptionists that you talk to on the phone are very helpful!

This was a great deal. I have used them in the past and still have great service.They are always on time and very courteous. They even take the time to explain the problem to you. Great service.

He measure the heat range of the furnace and the tech told me it was burning higher than it was supposed to. He mentioned that perhaps that closed vents would be causing the furnace to go higher than it was supposed to. He recommended increase the speed of the blower. He also mentioned that cleaning some parts of the furnace would help too. When the job was done, after several hours, I noticed he left without placing the air filter back in the unit and also notice the overall temperature decreased in my house. I'm not sure if this is related to change of the blower speed; however, I'm not pleased with the experience at all.

The service man completed what seemed to be a thorough furnace inspection. He ran some tests and reported the results to me, which showed that it was in good condition. He also adjusted the slope of an exhaust pipe that had been gathering water, which corrected the problem. Before leaving, he gave a full report and explained some additional services and products that I could schedule if interested.

They were very professional, responsive and fairly priced. They are very conscientious about everything. I was very pleased with them.
