Over the years, you put things off until it becomes the straw that broke the camels back. So many little things kept adding up to bigger problems and it all stemmed from my pressure regulator dying which I did not know that happened. I knew my shower fixture faucet was leaking in a steady drip and it had to be replaced but I knew that the other parts of the shower/tub fixtures needed replaced too, since they were corroded. When Sullivan's sales person came to do an estimate on the shower fixture replacement I mentioned that over the past couple years I had replaced my bathroom sink lines and my kitchen faucet because of leaks, he thought for a minute and checked the water pressure, which was at 95 instead of the range between 50 and 70. I mentioned to him that I had a number of leaks in shutoff valves as well, which i had been dealing with for years. I also knew my water heater was getting near end of life, plus i had a build up of minerals/scale on the cold water shutoff valve to the tank which had dripped to the top of the tank and was corroding the connection to the tank. So I started going down the list of things I wanted fixed since I finally got around to calling a plumber. I had shut off the saddle valves that were on the water line long ago because they leaked (which i found out that since the time they were installed and now, those valves are illegal). I had shut off the water valve to the outside backyard faucet since that valve leaked. the basement utility sink faucet always leaked unless you tightened it down hard, so I stopped using it. So many things I left to the to-do list and finally i was going to get the whole thing fixed. Sullivan quotes based on the amount of work and difficulty of the work, not by the amount of hours the service technicians spends. The cost was high, but I had that understanding going in to this work because I had read all the Angie List reviews. They accept cash, check, credit cards and they have a finance plan with monthly payments from everything paid in 12 months no interest, to longer periods at interest. I asked about all of the details of what types of valves and fixtures and the tank-less water tank would be used in this job and the sales person gave me a lot of details and answered every question. I asked about how their warranty and the manufacturer's warranties on the fixtures and water heater. All questions were answered fully. I asked specifics on the tank-less water heater, the temperature rise, the ground water in Pittsburgh at the coldest time of the year and what the temperature of the hot water would be from the water heater, the amount of flow that the water heater could handle at the same time with a consistent temperature, etc...all questions answered in full detail. From the day all the paperwork was signed (Friday, April 11th) I had the team in place and the work was scheduled for Tuesday April 15th. Two plumbers teamed up to do this large project at my house. They were very friendly and hard workers. They showed up a little late the first day, picking up parts before coming to my house. It was not a problem with me as I knew that this job was pretty darn big. They tackled most of the basement work the first day. The old hot water tank was removed, the new tank-less mounted in a non-obtrusive spot (hardly takes up any space, loved it!). The old lines (gas and water) were removed/cleaned up, the pvc pipe for the new tank-less was vented to the outside. The basement utility sink faucet was replaced. The saddle valves were removed from the water line and the new shutoff valve to the refrigerator line was installed (quarter turn valve). They showed me how to work the tank-less system and left for that evening. The second day was a half day of work for the plumbers. They showed up with a bunch of parts, replaced the water shutoff lines on the toilets and put in quarter turn valves. They replaced the shower/tub fixtures, put in the hot/cold shower water line ball valves. They replaced the valve to the outside water line and the faucet outside. They replaced the pressure regulator. Replaced my refrigerator water filter. Replaced my bathroom sink faucet on the first floor.When I went round to check all the work, the toilets were not filling quick enough (so they replaced the insides of the tanks). They did an EXCELLENT JOB. Those two plumbers' work ethic and focus on the job resulted in one tremendously professional, functional, clean (I mean they worked clean and left it clean) project. Sullivan, you have a great team of guys who work for you. I hope they get great raises this year, they deserve it. I highly recommend this company. One thing they forgot, which had nothing to do with the SUPERB job was that they left their tape measure behind. I will call and let the company know so that someone can stop by and pick it up. This company does what it promises. They fulfill the clients needs to the Nth Degree! I am so thoroughly pleased with the HIGH QUALITY work, the service and the warranty of all their work that I had to put enough details in this review so that you understand the amount of effort they did to satisfy their customer.

Found some minor problems. Video inspection person showed up right after he was done.

They gave me two estimates, one over $600 and one for over $1000.

Went fine. Had to bargain a little, but ended up with a price that I thought was fair. I purchased the faucet and had gotten another estimate on the cost of the work, so I was happy with what Sullivan charged.

He was prompt, professional and very courteous. He completed all of the requeted work and lso offered and tagged all of my shut off valves. He explained everything that he did and was a pleasure to work with. I will use them again!

After the technicians arrived they recommended that the water regulating valve, expansion tank and toilet isolation valve be replaced. I did not anticipated this extra work, but if it needed to be done this was a convenient time to do it.

My sink was backed up. The plumber solved the issue in about a half hour and everything is working fine.

Technician arrived on time. He was very professional. Explained me what all he can do in that deal price. He took all precautions and did a great job. I appreciated his eye for details.

Everything went very well! The plumber (Joe S.) was very efficient and likable.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out okay. They were fine and did a good job. There were no additional charges.

Joe came on time. He looked at the basement drain and decided how he was going to approach the clean-out. He used a small snake to clean out from the drain to the wall... he got some 'gunk' out. After he was done he cleaned up and you never knew he was there. He checked the toilet upstairs (running slow) and found the 'fill ' valve to be leaking so he replaced it... it solved the problem. I felt Joe was very good at what he was doing and was very polite and friendly.

It worked really well. He went about and did a good job. He said there were $3 or $4 worth of parts but he wasn't going to charge us for it. He did the job nicely. He was very efficient and on time. He did an excellent job.

They were great! They were very friendly and they did a good job.

I purchased a Big Deal for a $39 one hour plumbing service call. I had him look at a leaking pipe under my sink. He let me know that it would take about an hour or an hour and a half; he also mentioned that the parts would only be about $10-$15. He wanted me to agree to a price of $600 for the job before he would start, he would not give me the hour of service that I paid for with this deal. He said that they charge by job, not by hour. He was very rude about this, the price was ridiculous. He stated that I needed to agree to this price, just in case something went wrong, it may take more time. I just decided not to go through with this purchase at this time.

I called Sullivan immediately after purchasing my Angie's List deal. Less than an hour later, Andrew pulled up. I showed him the drain in the laundry room that was backing up, and he immediately asked me if there was another drain. I said that there was, but it wasn't backing up. He insisted on snaking the drain in the garage that wasn't backing up, and when he pulled up mud, he insisted that the line was broken. I argued that he needed to snake the other drain. He essentially refused, and gave me half thought out reasons that he couldn't snake the other drain He called Cory, the camera man, who came to do the video inspection. They weren't able to do it because "there line was too dirty". They still refused to snake the drain that was actually backing up, and said that they'd need to do a line repair. The lines were entirely replaced less than five years ago. I called the homeowner, and was able to determine that the drain in the garage was "blocked off" when the lines were replaced. It's no longer connected to the sewer, and had Andrew or Cory listened to me and snaked the drain that actually needed snaked, there would be no issue. A different plumber just completed the work on the correct drain with no problems, and no need for expensive repairs. It only took him five minutes. SULLIVAN RIPPED ME OFF. Their incompetence led to an absolute waste of money because the technicians wouldn't listen to me. Perhaps this was an intentional attempt to defraud me, since I'm a woman. In any case, after the experience I had yesterday, I feel as if their high Angie's List rating is erroneous. I expect service like this from a company like Gillece - not an Angies List business with high ratings. I am pursuing a refund. UPDATE: In order to receive a refund, Angie's List requires that I remove this very honest review of factual events, which I refuse to do.

Two visits because of my schedule conflicts. Technicians were great and service was great! I will use them in the future. Highly recommend Sullivan Super Service.

Sullivan is extremely professional, responsive, they care about their customers, have knowledgeable technicians working for them, are on time and deliver what they promise. All that is extremely important in a provider. The deal I bought was $89 for snaking out the sewer main and digital camera, which was a fantastic deal when I compared prices. They were even able to come out sooner than expected to accomodate us since we had a death in the family and had to go to NJ unexpectedly. Then the technician came to do the camera. He didn't just jump into anything. He asked a lot of great questions to understand our situation, did what he had to do and then explained what he found and more importantly our options. Very through and knowledgeable. They came back a couple days later to do hydrojetting (cleaning out root blockages in the sewer main) and did a very thorough job and explained what they were doing and how to use the chemicals to keep the roots out. The same day my mom in OH had severe water damage and needed an expert to come help. They suggested a fantastic company who came out right away are also doing a fantastic job. If you need any type of plumbing or sewer work done, look no further than Sullivans. They do an amazing job for a fair price. I recommend them to everyone.

Freon held up for the rest of the A/C season until we replaced the compressor.

They did not do everything included in the deal because they needed to bring different tools and they didn’t want to travel back and forth since they were out of the service area. Otherwise the work was okay. They did not show up on time. They did finish the work the same day, but I don’t think I would use them again in the future.

This happened over a weekend.Tub faucet would not shut off.The only way to stop water was to turn off main shut -off to house.. Water was coming out by the gallons!!! I purchased coupon from AL and then ,called Sullian and they could come right away.I was giving the option to repair the faucet for about $300.00 or install new one with shut-off valves for $1168.00 (after coupon). I choose to replace it. The kitchen repair would have been an addition $800.00. The technician was very professional and very knowledgeable. He replaced the tile work and cleaned up when job was done.I thought the job was overpriced but I didn't have time to get estimates. I will get estimate for kitchen job since it is not an emergency. I told my co-workers what i paid and they were shocked. I think it was a costly lesson. I will not hire this company again.

Called at 5:30 pm after discovering a back-up in basement. Technician arrived approximately 8:30. From the time he arrived and we first spoke, he listened to everything I had to say. I have had this problem in the past and was relatively certain that I knew where his starting point should be. He was different from other servicemen that we have had in the past that don't want to hear your opinion. He immediately agreed with me and started from that point. During the process he was very congenial and most importantly was a Penguin fan. It took about 30 minutes and the clog was further out than even I had suspected. He even took the time to advise me that it was past the point where it was my responsibility and I should contact the municipality to check their lines. He also advised me on a free video inspection I could get, just to be on the safe side. All in all I would have no problem recommending this company to anyone. This young man was very professional and polite through this process. I can't say enough good things about him. Not sure of his name but his initials on my bill were JP. PS... the bill could not have been more reasonable and was less than expected.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was great. Initially one of the technicians came and solved the clog problem. Just a few minutes ago another fellow came and did the separate video inspection. They scheduled that on a different date and it went very well, very smoothly. They did the unclogging work very promptly. Both of the technicians were very knowledgeable and very polite. They scheduled the same day I spoke to them so it was very prompt. I would say it is a very good value.

The young gentleman who came in was polite and courteous. The service was not satisfactory because they were not able to unclog the drain. What was most disappointing was he left the bathroom area dirty with grease.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out pretty good. They did not actually end up doing the drain inspection as the guy cleared it without ever looking down in it; we did not really have an issue with that. He did some testing in the toilets and found that everything was okay. He diagnosed some issues we had with a couple of insinkerators. So, I think all in all we were fully satisfied with them. We got the value, which we paid. I did pay them anything extra other than the big deal purchase. The whole deal was a video inspection of the pipes, but he basically said the issue you have got is with your toilets and having problems with them clogging is unrelated to the possibility that your drain line is clogged.

They didn’t do the video inspection and the toilet tune-up didn’t cover what we needed done for the toilet. They were also generally very expensive. However, the technician was very friendly.
