The technician was courteous, personable and knowledgeable. He discovered a crack in the drain system. He clearly explained where the crack was located in the system, and what had to be done to rectify the problem. He gave me a repair estimate, which I felt was a fair amount for the projected work.

Very helpful and professional. Gave us some great tips on how to care for the system.

This guy arrived quite early in the morning which I appreciated. I had some concern about an old gas valve for my fireplace, so i wanted to replace it and have installed also a new safety valve. I thought was a quite easy job but apparently not for them. The valve is in the floor, in a place easy accessible from the basement but apparently was "tricky" to replace it... also he had to make a bigger hole in the floor for install a new one (???). End of the story: a quote for $927, plus $50 for the call. Dear Sullivan Super-service, I've used you before, but you have lost a customer.... this is not just ridiculous, this is shocking. Too bad, I end up with another company which simply installed the safety valve for $200. Bye bye.

We ordered the parts ourselves, and when they arrived I installed them myself. We did not have the plumber return. The company called back late in January to say they had obtained parts--we had not asked them to order parts, and since the repairs were already completed no work was done. I realized after the fact that I had wasted $35 buying a special deal from Angie's List, and I will not do that again in this kind of situation.

It was a bait-and-switch, but it was fine. They honored the price. I would unlikely use them again. There is a drain that goes from the sink to the floor drain, and there is a drain in the floor. What I thought they were doing is the drain in the floor and what they did is the drain between the sink and the floor. Then, they tried to say that I needed $1,500 worth of power where the reason I called was the drain in the floor which they said they could not address. The workers were fine.

The service was great and Paul was very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable because he was straightforward and answered all of my questions.

I was disappointed in their fixed project policy for small items. Two minor sink drain issues would have resulted in a $430 charge.

Apparently, our furnace is in pretty bad shape. Paul, the technician had to replace the flame sensor free of charge to even get the furnace to run well enough to test it. Paul was very helpful and professional and presented several options to us in the way of repairs even though he strongly advised replacing the furnace due to it being 20 years old and unstable. He also tried to obtain commercial financing for us which was unsuccessful and we dd not have the funds to move forward with in hose financing. The main issue I had with the estimates were the length of the warranty and the cost of the replacement parts. I decided to get a second opinion from another company and they are able to replace the furnace for less than the price to replace just the electrical components related to the inducer and fan failure that Sullivan quoted me. Sorry, but I would be a moron if I took the Sullivan deal which only came with a year warranty on the parts as opposed to replacing the old furnace.

What they did seemed reasonably satisfactorily. However, they came to do the service once while my mom was at my house and I was at work, and the plumber didn't even do what the deal was for. After contacting the company they sent someone else out to replace my outside faucet and attempted to bill me over $400 before negotiation, and told me I used my credit on the first service. Overall, I feel like the company is out to take advantage of people, and the service representatives were not on the same page on terms of everything.

The price was definitely too high. It was outrageous. I don't see any deals. It's not that I'm expecting Walmart prices, but they're over the cliff for me. I thought it was a lot just to come out and take a look and say, "You need this, this, this. This is a $1000. This is a $1000. This is a $1000." The plumber that came and did the work was much, much cheaper.

I bought this drain cleaning service as an Angie's List Big Deal - and I was able to also find a $10-off coupon which brought my price down to $29. All went well with the drain cleaning. The worker was on time and very professional. He did not mind me asking a ton of questions, and he also didn't seem to mind the 13 year's worth of hair that he found in the drain. He took the time to show me how to remove the pop-up drain plug. He was also able to remove the broken plastic piece from the tool with which I had attempted to clean the drain. I would gladly use this provider again, as long as the price was as reasonable as this time.

I had one clogged drain in my basement, with the laundry tub overflowing with water and what appeared to be food particles due to its connection with the kitchen sink and/or disposal. I had just had another plumber "fix it" a month before --he stayed only five minutes, charged me 185.00, and his poor job lasted only three weeks before the sink was clogged again. I found Sullivan on Angie's List. They were prompt, and very courteous with making sure they didn't track dirt and mud in the house with their shoes. They stayed until they were sure that the problem was fixed, and even took the time to wash out the greasy sink. I then had them look at the upstairs bathroom sink, which had a stubborn clog way down below in the pipes. Sullivan didn't have the right tool at the time, but came right back the next day and fixed it -- finally! They were able to work around my work schedule, even thought it was two days before Thanksgiving. Although I spent $474, it was totally worth it to finally find someone I could trust. Definitely call again~

The recognition was very good. He explained what he was doing and made recommendations. I did not feel pressured. Since I believed the previous tech who had been coming was doing a lazy version of "clean and checking " I was not surprised to find a number of issues in the boiler. He was able to show me the problems and then worked with someone at his office to order the needed parts. He came back about 10 days later to install the new parts. The boiler is no longer running rough and the house is warmed much faster. I gave Sullivan's "B" for communicating only because I was told the parts would be in on Tuesday or Wednesday and they would get them installed right away. I had to call them to find out they had a delay in getting the parts and it would be at least Saturday before they could come. Someone should have kept us in the loop. I OPTED to wait until Monday (instead of Saturday) in order to have the same tech.

They were efficient and professional. No cleanup required by me afterward. They also recommended a few jobs for the future and I have scheduled with them to provide the services. I was so impressed with their professionalism that I purchased a 1 year service contract with them. I have since had my furnace checked and scheduled a blower cleaning, which is something no one else had suggested. The furnace is 15+ yrs old and one has not been done.

We were given a time for the appointment between noon and 4:00 and told we would get a call when the plumber was on his way. We didn't get a call and the plumber showed up exactly at 4:00. He looked at the job and told us it would take him 3 hours, and then gave us a price to do the work of $1900, which is unbelievably high. We of course had the option to say no, but we had an important business dinner at our house the following day and felt we didn't have an option, so we reluctantly agreed. The plumber did a fine job, and was very pleasant, but $600/hr is a totally unreasonable charge for general plumbing work, so we will never be calling this company again. UPDATE: two days after the sink was installed we found water all over the base of the sink cabinet. I called and the plumber came back and fixed it, apologized and said he would compensate us for the trouble. It has been almost 10 days and we are still waiting to hear something from them, no contact has been made as of yet. SECOND UPDATE, 5 weeks after initial work was completed: Still no contact from anyone in the company despite me submitting a formal complaint to them, and nothing more about the 'compensation' the plumber said we would get when he came back a second time to fix the installation that was improperly done.

The company was good about setting up the appointment for when I wanted to get the work done. After that it was all downhill. I wanted the plumber to replace my kitchen faucet with a new kitchen faucet that I had purchased. When he arrived, he immediately started to sell me on a maintenance plan for all of my heating, cooling and plumbing, which I didn't want. He then went to his truck to write up the estimate for a number of different "options". So I prepared myself to sit through a timeshare type of presentation before I could get my faucet installed. The first option was for monthly maintenance agreements for all of my heating, cooling and plumbing equipment. I quickly said that I wasn't interested. Besides, why would I sign a contract with this company when I have no idea of the quality of their workmanship. The next option was to replace everything under my sink, including my water lines, disposal, etc. Everything is newer and in great condition and the disposal would have been a lesser model than the one that I have now. No thanks. The final option was to replace the faucet as I had initially requested. But the cost to do this work was $725!!! That's right, $725 and remember that I had already paid the service charge for the visit. It would have taken less than an hour to install the faucet and I was prepared to pay a reasonable hourly rate, but this seemed quite excessive to me. (Rates in my area range from $75 to $150 per hour.) I politely asked the plumber to leave and then filed a complaint with Angie's List. I was told that I could have my $39 refunded. My concern is for the seniors or widows who could be victims of this obvious scam. I always thought that contractors on Angie's List would use these deals to introduce themselves to potential new customers. They would do quality work at a special price to broaden their customer base and get more referrals in the future. But lately it seems like they're adding extra services or hidden charges. After today's experience, I won't be renewing my membership.

I had an issue where water was coming into my basement and I thought the outside drain pipe was clogged and I also didn't know where the drain came out. Ryan from Sullivan came out and ran a camera through the down spout. He found that the pipe was crushed and had a brick in it, which was causing the water to not drain out correctly. He gave me suggestions on how to fix the problem, as well as offering the companies services to do it. I will absolutely use them again. They were so professional and showed me all I needed to know. Thanks again!

Provider came and completed the service. Initially they did not have a camera to show me the line, but they agreed to return at a later date and complete that service. It took a while, but we were able to setup a date and they took care of it as well.

Haven't had the service done yet. Am waiting until Spring.

Sullivan has been to my house before, and I have been happy with their service each time. They are prompt, punctual, and the service is performed exactly as I have requested. They are very professional at all times, and I would not hesitate to recommend them for plumbing needs.
