Description of Work: I was able to scheduled the appointment for the very next day. The technician was prompt, knowledgable, friendly and courteous. He did a terrific job.

Description of Work: Unfortunately, this company was unable to come to my home due to two emergencies that took place on the days that were scheduled. Both times that they were to arrive at my home, the customer care department kindly called and alerted me to a crisis they were facing and requested that I reschedule. I rescheduled twice with this company. My advice to other Angie's List customers is NOT to pre pay for any services such as a coupon, unless you know the company beforehand, and/or, if you are able to wait longer for the coupon to be serviced. Angie's List is scheduled to credit my account with a refund. I do not fault this company as emergencies can happen, especially in plumbing, but I am unable to offer any assessment to other Angie's List customers about this company as this could have helped others.

Description of Work: I called to take advantage of the deal of the day. Marcus came to my home and instead of a drain cleaning(at my request), which is what he thought he would be doing; we tried to locate a leak in my stack that has been avoiding discovery for nearly a year. he not only did not skip a beat at the change in job, but he also was very helpful in narrowing down my choices as to location. In a few days the company will be sending out another serviceman with a camera to check further into the recommended areas. An excellent company and i will not hesitate to call them as needed in the future.

Description of Work: I bought a "big deal" an they came out and serviced the furnace and the AC. They told us we needed a new heat exchange, but its better if we replace the entire furnace. We had other issues regarding some vents that needed fixed, some that needed blocked off and their estimate was a little over $2000. We thought that price was steep so we called Metro Heating (which we have used for years) and they charged us $230. They did the same things Sullivan tried charging us for. Also we paid Sullivan to service our AC and when our Home Warranty Company came to replace the heat exchange, he replaced the hoses and really serviced the AC. Sullivan also came in stuck their stickers everywhere, planted a sign in the front yard, all without asking. However, the Sullivan guys were very nice to deal with.

Description of Work: I had 3 leaky faucets, so I thought the Angie's List Big Deal ($200 worth of plumbing for $100) was the perfect solution to get the work done. After postponing 1 appt, the service rep arrived on-time to quote the work. The quote was ~$800 for the labor, and they would have to check if they could get the parts under warranty. Two days later, they informed me that the parts were not under warranty and would cost an additional $200. I the price was too high ($1,000 to fix three faucets!!!). I called Kohler and was able to get the parts myself for FREE no questions asked, so Sullivan must not have tried at all. I had the parts installed by someone else at a fraction of the Sullivan price, although I lost my $100 from the Big Deal. I can't help but feel that this "deal" is nothing more than a way to get in front of customers and overcharge because people want to use the credit they bought. I will never call Sullivan again or use the Angie's List Big Deal again (second time being up sold).

Description of Work: The technician came into my home to do a check up on my furnace. It had been a few years since anyone had looked into the inner workings of the furnace and he knew it right away. As the tech took apart the furnace he pointed out items in the future to review. I found him to be very informative and thorough. His visit proved that my furnace was in good working quality and didn't try to make me think otherwise. Right away, I trusted him. If in the future I were to have issues, they will get my call!

Description of Work: Very pleased with the service. This was the first time that I used Sullivan and was most impressed with the technician, Marcus. He arrived on time ( after first calling to verify that I was home), was very polite and reassured me with his competence. We used the advertised $64 special and felt that we received more than our money's worth. Marcus did not try to sell me a lot of extra repairs on the heating unit as our "regular" plumber tries to do every year. However, he did push a long term care plan. I assume that he is instructed to do so. When I declined the long term plan, he did not try to make me feel bad. I was happy with the service and will try Sullivan for other plumbing needs. Hope that all experiences with the company are as positive as this one.

Description of Work: I recently purchased "The Big Deal" which offered $200 worth of plumbing service for $99. I wanted to have the existing faucet and shower head in my bathtub replaced. I purchased the hardware at Home Depot and asked Sullivan Super Service to install it. When the plumber arrived, he proceeded to quote me the cost to perform this service. The balance due from me after deducting the $200, would be $534. I assume that if I had not purchased "The Big Deal", the total cost would be $734. I would purchase a new tub before I would spend $734 merely to replace the hardware on the old tub. In my opinion, this "Big Deal" was no deal at all, and since I do not intend to contact this company ever again, I have just made a donation of $99 to Sullivan Super Service Plumbing.

Description of Work: I have an outdoor electrical box that I thought had failed, so I called Sullivan for help. Overall, I wasn’t very happy with them. It turns out that the box was only tripped, so it was a simple fix. Even so, I was still charged $250.00. To be fair, that minimum charge was stipulated in a contract I signed before service, but I still didn’t feel right about the situation. I will never use them again.

Description of Work: They did some plumbing work for me years ago, and as I can remember everything turned out fine.

Description of Work: I called to ask to have them install a garbage disposal. Simple job. I already had the disposal so all that was left was a simple installation. Remove the old one and install the new. They quoted me a price of $298. It is a $100 job. I was stuck paying $50 for the call and estimate. Terrible ripoff. Why not time and materials? In fact, I did have it done and it is $160 for the total job.
