Worcester Heating & Air Conditioning

Determined my condenser fan blower had bad bearings and was out on thermal overload Sunday 7/26/20. I talked to Worcester Monday 7/27/20. Secretary was a little condescending about my diagnosis, and it would cost $75 to confirm. I said I understand and have no problem with that. Tech came out and confirmed my diagnosis and told the tenant that it was an old unit and it might not be available. Next day office called and said same thing and that they had to contact their vendor, because there was no info. I said you mean to tell me that there is no nameplate on the motor? She said yes. no info. I told her I googled it and the internet has tons of them. She said we don't use google, once again in a condescending tone. I said United or Sid Harvey probably have one on the shelf. I needed it done so Wednesday I took a picture of the nameplate and sent it to United refrigeration. Within an hour and a half of sending they had one in Texas for $135 + shipping. I called back and offered the info but they would not take it. I then offered to get one on site for them to install. Once again, the answer was no. Thursday rolled around and still no call, so I ordered it and took Friday off to install, as my tenant works from home. The temps were in the 90's all week. Picked one up at United for $145 + $153.05 over night shipping at 10:30 am Friday. Had it installed and running by 2 pm same day. This incompetence is remarkable. They basically stole $75 from me and cost me $153.05 shipping because of the delay. I called them today Sunday 8/2/20 and asked their on-call mechanic to have the owner call me before I posted this. Did not get a call so I can only assume he doesn't care. I can only ask him to replay the phone calls I made; they do mention that their calls are recorded. I do not see a place to post pics, otherwise I would post my motor receipt which confirms costs and pickup date. As someone who understands HVAC I would not recommend this company. I am an electrician who does energy management control, I have been running my business for 15 years and have been in the electrical trade since 1980.
