The toilet flapper wasn't tightly holding the water from running through its valve, so water was constantly filling the toilet. A pretty expensive price to pay for a simple flapper replacement, but when you are not knowledgeable about plumbing. This Company does have a $47 coupon which I extracted from the July 2008 issue of Angie's List magazine so the total cost of an obligatory "Dispatch Fee" and Flapper was about $90.

They are very professional, they made sure to call and remind me of my contracts, and they were clean and functional and punctual.

They did everything they were supposed to. They gave really good options to choose from. They did the job perfectly. They also did a really good follow-up.

I called on Saturday evening after noticing the upper level of our home was not cooling. Having recently had a poor experience with the firm that installed the devices, I checked my new Angie's List magazine and saw Horizon's ad, award and coupon. Within one minute of leaving a message with a real live night message service person, I received a call back! We scheduled a service call for the next morning which was confirmed prior to arrival. The technician knew his stuff, diagnosed the problem, had to call an off-duty co-worker for help and eventually fixed the problem. I was so impressed that I signed up for an annual service contract.

They are outstanding. They are responsive as they came immediately after I called. They put covers on their shoes to protect my floors. They work for the customer.

He came out like he said he would and he brought a helper with him that assisted him with the repair. He went outside and looked at the box that held the fan, and discovered that the gel inside the housing unit had dried up and didnt allow it to turn. When he found that, he literally saved us about $100.00 or another service call. We were very lucky to have him come out.

Found water around furnace and called Horizon Services. Though we had not used them before, they sent a technician within one hour. System needed to be replaced, so we requested a sales consultant. Jeff Covielo, visited two hours later. Jeff explained all of the options and pricing in a thorough and professional manner. Because household members have dust allergies and asthma, we chose a high-end system with the Trane Clean Effects air cleaner and a high-output UV germicidal light. Work was scheduled within 48 hours and, on the day of installation, Mark, Kevin, and Jim arrived exactly on time to begin the installation. They were all extremely respectful and professional, and did an excellent job of installing the system. Because we had an older system, there were some issues which they quickly addressed and easily handled. For instance, a vent pipe needed to be re-routed to another location outdoors. Even though it caused additional work and materials, Horizon did not charge anything beyond the original estimate. During the installation, Jeff Covielo visited again to make sure that everything was going well. This attention to detail was especially appreciated! A short time after installation, we experienced a minor problem with the thermostat on a weekend morning. We called Horizon and, within the hour, an installation manager called us back and explained how to reset and reprogram the device. When we determined the next day that the thermostat needed to be replaced, Horizon returned quickly to accomplish that at no charge. We are extremely pleased with every aspect of our new system! Being able to accurately control indoor humidity levels, the significant decrease of dust throughout the house, and the lower energy costs are especially nice. Because of our very positive experience with Horizon Services, we have begun using them for plumbing services as well. More than anything else, we are especially impressed with Horizons Warm the Heart Foundation (www.warmtheheart.org). Through this foundation, Horizon Services provided and installed 15 brand-new furnaces for less-fortunate families this past year. All materials and labor were provided at no cost to the families. Mark Aitken and Dave Geiger should be highly commended for this program which gives so much back to the community!

They gave me an hour window when Rob would arrive. I received four phone calls (two different people to two different phone numbers) to tell me he was on his way. He arrived with about 4 minutes to spare. He quickly completed clearing the roots. The service included scoping the pipe to see what damage had occurred. However, Rob did not have the equipment to do this. He said he calls another person to come out to do this once his work is complete. I needed to get to work myself so this was postponed. I will need to make arrangements to be home another day to have the scoping work done.

They are courteous, efficient, and had parts on the truck. One incident, they sent someone out who misdiagnosed the cause. When he came back to repair it I found the cause and had I not found the cause it would have still not been repaired and would have cost me more.

They were polite and professional covering their shoes before entering our home. We noticed a few places that needed caulked and they were more than willing to come back to correct it.

We were doing the check-up at the request of our house buyer because of a wasp nest found in the furnace. The representative in the call center was helpful, identifying what kind of service we needed. Before the technician came, they called both our home phone and cell phone to confirm. The technician, Bruce, arrived right on time. He explained beforehand what he'll do and finished the work in about an hour on a hot Summer day. With the price I paid, I also got to join the service partner program (for heaters only, not plumbing) for one year on my new house. A few days later, the company also did a phone customer service survey.

They got here when they said that they would and finished the work in a timely manner. The people are very professional and always do exactly what they say that they will do.

The Company was great, the technician was great and everyone that I dealt with was courteous and professional. My appointment was rescheduled twice, due to it being the cold season and they had emergency calls so they came out and did the work for free. What a wonderful company.

I could do most of the work I have them out to do, but it is really reassuring to know that if anything broke down during this service contract, that we would be discounted greatly for the item or items in need of repair or replacement. It acts as sort of an insurance policy that everything will continue to work well.

EXCELLENT FROM START TO FINISH. RESPONSIVE, CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, DID THE JOB ON TIME, TO BUDGET.

I was very happy with this company. They arrived when they said they would or called. They were very careful to clean up after themselves, and other than the initial charge of $256, we paid nothing additional for approx. 7 hours of work that they put in to repair the pipe and clean it out a second time. Excellent service!

THE FURNACE WAS INSTALLED IMPROPERLY WHICH VENTED CARBON MONOXIDE INTO OUR HOME FOR 2 YEARS. AT LEAST 4 REPRESENTATIVES OF THE COMPANY EITHER WORKED ON INSTALLATION OR COMPLETED THE YEARLY MAINTENANCE AND NEVER SAW THE PROBLEM - INCLUDING THEIR 'BEST GUY' ACCORDING TO COMPANY OWNER. HOUSE INSPECTOR IDENTIFIED PROBLEM IN ABOUT 2 MINUTES DURING INSPECTION WHEN WE SOLD! THEY CAME AND FIXED SAME DAY WE CALLED - BUT THEIR INCOMPETENCE MEANS WE HAD LOW LEVEL CO POISONING FOR YEARS! AIR CONDITIONER LEAKED IN BASEMENT AFTER INSTALLATION - THEY HAD NOT INSTALLED A CONDENSER PUMP. IT WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY FIRST TIME AND CONTINUED TO LEAK. ON THIRD VISIT IT WAS CORRECTED. INSTALLERS SPEAK POORLY ABOUT EACH OTHER OFTEN STATING THAT 'SO AND SO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING' AND ARE BARLEY LITERATE. HOT WATER HEATER INSTALLATION WAS FINE.

I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED. PRIOR TO THEM COMING WE HAD NO AIR. WHEN THEY LEFT WE WERE BACK IN BUSINESS. EVERYTHING WAS DONE IN NO TIME.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE ARE GREAT, VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE SERVICE PEOPLE ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAN, ON TIME AND THEY CLEAN UP THEIR MESS.

PLUMBER WAS PROMPT, COURTEOUS, REASONABLY PRICED, BUT WORK WAS ONLY FAIR. QUALITY OF WORK WAS LESS THAN EXPECTED.
