I was pleased with what they did during the fall. Their technician pointed out a pipe that was starting to corrode, and he gave me a price for its replacement. I decided I wanted a second opinion, and another provider bid over $1,200.00. Needless to say, I went with Horizon. I think their work and prices are reliable and fair.

I’ve been happy with their hvac service, but I’m not as impressed with their plumbing service. I think their plumbers aren’t as well trained as technicians in other areas of the company.

I decided to go with Horizon because of their reputation, and I wasn’t disappointed. They arrived on time and did great work. Also, I thought their price was fair.

I’ve been very pleased with their work regarding heating and air conditioning. Their technicians are knowledgeable, capable, and professional.

I decided to contract with Horizon on purpose. They’ve been very responsive, reliable, and professional. Their technicians arrive on time, and scheduling appointments is easy. In fact, every aspect of working with them is very easy. I plan on continuing to contract with Horizon for the foreseeable future.

They call you the night before and the morning before the appointment. They are professional and their are prices are reasonable.

It was good but I thought the price was a little high but I don't know anything about transformers. I also contracted for a two year maintenance service so my price was a little lower, but still expensive. I will use them again in the future for my HVAC service because I have a maintenance agreement with them now. I am still not sure that it is working correctly now. I may have to call them back again.

They are excellent. I use them regularly. They are dependable and give excellent service.

They did fine and they were prompt. Everything was good, but their price was too high. They came out on an emergency basis. They had a 24-hour answering machine. They fixed our problem and it was a good solution. We had a sump pump that died. They put in a kind of sump pump that wouldn’t die or require electricity. So it was a better solution and what we wanted. He did a good job.

Their price was good. Their product and service are excellent. I would definitely recommend them to anybody.

Very easy to schedule an appointment. They came out very fast. The prices were very reasonable.

Moved into a new home to find the shower faucet dripping. Did not know who to call so I called Horizon. The person was prompt and professional and diagnosed the problem correctly ( I know that afterwards) but their pricing and sales pitches turned me off right away. They are ridiculously high. They seem to try to up sell you on new faucets and the like. I don't know what the business model is here - I suspect the people who come get commission on what they sell you- but this is not the way I like to do business with contractors. Send a competent skilled person and I will pay them a fair wage. That should be the end of it. I shall not call these people again.

This was my first year with Horizon as the service provider for my oil furnace. Their operation overall is run very professionally. The only minor nit was that the details of their packages for oil furnaces don't seem to be quite as familiar to the sales staff as say nat gas. What sounded like a great deal (extra $10 to get on the preferred customer list) only applied to gas furnaces - apparently oil furnaces require longer annual service visits and so cost more. But that is minor. The tech was very professional and seemed to know what he was doing. Horizon might be a bit more expensive than some of the other smaller operations out there but perhaps you get what you pay for. This review is admittedly based on a very short experience with them so far but the initial experience has been positive.

Water in the bathroom sink was going down rather slowly. I called Horizon and explained my situation. A serviceman was sent to my home the same day within a half hour. When the serviceman arrived, he assessed the situation and proceeded to correct the problem on to discover that the main sewer was backed up. He contacted the company by email and phone explaining the situation and what was needed. The Company contacted me to let me know that another serviceman was on his way to my home. He arrived about 20 minutes. He opened the sewer trap door and inserted the cable line and cleared the sewer. The job took about 20 minutes. Both servicemen were courteous and professional. I will use Horizon, again.

Arrived well within window. Called ahead to confirm I would be there. The technician was extremely courteous. He was able to diagnose a problem that a local company couldn't. There was a very intermittent issue with my gas hot air furnace,with the control board, that ultimately was causing ingnitors to burn out very quickly. As this is a relatively large company they were able to have the part delivered by another technician. I have waited for days for my local company to order and then install ignitors. Long story short, all is well with the furnace. The entire work scenario was handled with extreme courtesy and professionalism. I paid more than I would with the already mentioned local company, but the problem is finally fixed. You will pay top dollar for a repair, but you will be happy with the results.

The servicemen are very punctual. They set the appointments up at their own time. Horizon Services is a very good company to work with.

They were great. I had no problems. Their price was fair. My overall experience with them was excellent. I would use them in the future.

I am not very pleased with them. They came out and replaced a valve. It didn’t last that long and it started leaking again. So, they came out again and I had to go through quite a bit of haranguing with them before they replaced it. I usually don’t get upset with people or much about anything, but I felt that it was faulty from the beginning. They replaced the valve again, but it started leaking again. They really went in and replaced not only the valve but the plates that feed the valve further into the house. I really don’t want to bother with them again, so I probably won’t call them because it’s out of warranty and I was not pleased with their service.

Horizon is an excellent company. I brought a couple of different companies in for an estimate. Horizon gave me one of the better estimates. We scheduled a whole day for them to come in and do the work. They came on time did all the work and had everything cleaned up within six hours.

Although a very professional organization, we felt a bit manipulated by Horizon to spend about $10K in a new furnace system. In successive phone calls we were offered better and better offers, some of which can be expected but it left us with a bad taste in our mouths. If they were able to discount the price of the furnace and installation by several 1000 dollars in the space of a few weeks, why not give provide us a more realistic quote right away? I know the answer to this question, but it made us uncomfortable nevertheless. Several months later we ended up going with Sila, which provided a better overall experience

Three men came in to replace the heater and A/C. They arrived about 9:00 AM and they were finished by mid afternoon that same day.They were very neat and very professional during the whole process. There was not anything that had to be cleaned up when they left. I have not used the A/C because the installation was done in January 2012. The furnace has worked perfectly since it was installed.

They did a really good job. We hadn't used them before. We would definitely use them again.

I was not in a position to haggle as mentioned above. I re-state this, because Horizon's plumber most certainly was aware of this, but did not use it as leverage to sell me more than I needed. Could I have ultimately paid less elswhere? Yes, I am sure I could have but considering I got a high quality water heater, an expansion assembly, the out-of-code gas supply replaced with hard-pipe and a six year tank, parts and labor warranty, it wouldn't have been worth the sacrifice to gamble on an unknown plumber, with an unkown schedule and anything else that could go wrong. I say go with Horizon. If you do, you actually save on more normal repair calls. I have had nothing but great service from them and they're always ontime.

Horizon made three visits to our house, and dealt with my wife each time. The first came and did a pre-winter check-up on our heating system for about $90 in September/October. Once we began using our heat in late November, our boiler was making a loud steam whistle-like noise that could be heard throughout the house when the system would cut on. The pressure gauge was going up to 38 or so (20 is the normal max). This was something that we had not experienced last year. Horizon came to our house on two occasions, witnessed the issue, tweaked a few things to try to resolve it with no success. The gentlemen that came to our home were very nice and professional. After explaining a process of elimination, they ultimately decided that the solution would be a $880 replacement of the auto-flow valve. This price seemed high from some research did, so I canceled the repair appointment got another opinion. The second company came (Bob Cerramingo), inspected the system and suggested that it was likely a result of having the heat setting on the boiler up too high (sometimes they get miscalibrated). With a simple twist of the knob, he turned it down to 170 from 180+ and the issue has not returned. The bill was just $90 - which is a pretty standard fee for a home visit from what I gather. I was disappointed with Horizon and I do not plan to use them again. I'm sure that they do not intentionally try to make unneccessary repairs when dealing with people that are not knowledgable (like my wife), but I can't help but wonder if I should categorize this experience with several others that I have had where that happened. And it makes me wonder about the expensive air conditioning repair that they performed for me over the summer.
