Went with another provider.

I tried to unclog a bathroom sink drain with a snake and was unable to. Some of the other providers were asking $250 to do a drain cleaning. Horizon was $99 and got the drain unclogged in 5 minutes. A couple months later it is still working like new! Professional and quick!

Called 800#, got prompt answer by real live local person who sent local service tech as scheduled. Arrived on time. Very professional and knowledgeable.

I called Horizon Services about an emergency hot water heater problem. I told the call center that my hot water heater was leaking on the floor. I was then transferred to the Scheduling Department. Again I explained that my water heater was leaking and I needed somebody out ASAP to replace the water heater. The scheduler politely told me they could come out in 4 days. For a company that touts its emergency service, that is unacceptable. I politely told the scheduler that 4 days for service was not an option, and hung up. I would NEVER use this company, nor would I refer them to anybody.

They did an excellent job. They are very professional. They are right on time. They called before they came. I would tell a friend to hire them.

I have been using this company for several years way before i joined Angie's list , the price is always $99.00 for my sewer clean out I just happened to see this provider on Angie's List and thought i would give them a great review for what they have done for me. You're NOT going to find a better company that does sewer cleans out for the service and price. Employee's are very nice and respectful

The serviceman came within the alotted time. He called to let us know he was on his way. Very Friendly and professional. He told me what was wrong with my water heater and fixed it. This call was on a sunday afternoon. I am extremely happy with this company and would definitely recommend them .

Professional. Price was a high. Very High pressure sales. If the sales person left my home, then the price would not be guaranteed. I had to sign that night. Thank goodness there is a 3 day right to rescind.

We called and the guy showed up the next day. They came right when they said they would and even called ahead of time. They were able to finish the job within 2 or 3 hours. We actually signed up with them to clean our heater. I would recommend them to others.

Tech arrived on time and went into basement to check the heater which was not firing up to heat the house. My wife say he was down there for about an hour checking and diagnosing the heater. He was done and in his truck writing up his findings when I came home from work. He was done that then came back into the house and I was then home. He said that I needed the following: control board $737.00, Motor (said there was oil coming from it) $899.00.. Pressure switch $449.00 ..in-duck motor $710.00..Total 2,790.00.. He then said that the system was old (10yrs) and that I should think of getting a new furnace about $8,000.00. He said that they could come out the next day to give me an estament. Me thinking that I needed a new heater said yes and a appointment was made for me. Cost of Horizon was 79.50 Well me liking to get another opinion call a small area HVAC company. They showed up today and I told him straight up that I had Horizon here and this what they said I needed. Well they checked for oil around the motor which he said there is none in there, checked the mother board for a short and it was fine, checked the pressure switch and it to was fine. Well this company checked the thermostat which Horizon never did and said it was that. Cost parts, labor and service call $160.00. Well what a rip off this Horizon is and the honesty of this local guy. I did have a service contract with Horizon but that will be gone as I will never use them again. Guess we have to pay for all of those TV commercials. I saw on another post posted before mine that some one also had them try to push for a new heater. So people be aware. As of this writing heater is working fine and I have money for Christmas.

It was excellent. They weren't pushy about anything. They were very informative. This is great because this includes another inspection!

I contacted the provider thru Angie's list to unclog the drain to my kitchen. The provider took a month to determine that it was beyond their abilities to unplug the drain. They did not provide a refund.

This was my first time with Horizon Services. My experience was wonderful - from the 1st phone call until the plumbing technician left my apartment - my garbage disposal installation was well done! Ed Papp handled the install (another tech visited a few days before and ordered parts) and he was professional, courteous, pleasant, efficient and did a fantastic job!! He suggested a better way to install my unit (I purchased from an online retailer.) that required more parts and since I was quoted a price earlier, that's the price I was charged - no song & dance or BS. He spent nearly 3 hours onsite and waited while I ran a quick dishwasher cycle to double check all the connections! While Horizon Services may be priced higher than smaller independent contractors, I was willing to pay a few dollars more for always being able to speak with someone when I called, having a firm estimate that was honored upon installation and a 2 year warranty on the installer's labor. I always recommend getting at least 2-3 estimates. Sometimes the least expensive is not the way to go...

I did not go with this company. They were unresponsive to the deal that was presented.

Their service is very good. They arrive on time for the appointment. If they can not make it the to the appointment, they will call you. I think their price is very fair.

pros: * fast response - submitted an online request for an appointment, had a call back a few minutes later, scheduled within a couple of days. * appointments for both toilet and heating in the same time slot * arrvied on time: time slot was 12 - 5, plumber arrived 1, heater technician at 2, company called when they were on their way. * staff was clean and friendly and explained what they were doing. cons: * The boiler had a slight drip from the overflow valve, tech explained that the pressure was high (should be no higher than 20psi, was running to 30). tech claimed to have fixed this. the water intake was left turned off (so zero pressure) and the heating did not work because of this. Today there is water all over the floor and the pressure is 40psi. * The toilet repair and install was quoted at $315 including parts, with a caveat that if the floor had to be dug up to get the old flange out it would likely cost more. This wasn't necessary but the part needed was apparently more expensive than the standard kit. no cost values were given for the standard kit or the replacement parts, just an extra $130 charged (which seems excessive for a flange part). * clauking around the new toilet is messy. for the time spent (1 hour for heating, 3 hours for toilet) the cost was not excessively high (after coupon offers were applied), but the way things were priced seemed obscure and left an uncomfortable feeling.

They performed their function, I paid the bill and they left. They were excellent.

The first time I used them it was urgent and the second time they kind of wanted to sell me a whole new unit and it was only a wire that had burnt out. It was like $14000 when it could be $200. The price was a little high for an emergency. The guys that came out was super nice but the when the wire got burnt out they were like and aggressive sales person saying if I got it right now I will save money.

They were great. They were prompt and they were on time. They told that if they couldn’t fix the problem, they wouldn’t charge me. When they came out, it wasn’t a problem. Even they came for help, made the service call and they checked everything out, they did not charge me. They were polite. They promised that if they did clear the drain and clogged up again within a year, they would come out and fix it at no charge. First, I was skeptical but after this experience, I actually believed them.

The company promised on time service and a full refund for late service. My appointment was scheduled for a 2:00-5:00 window. The plumber showed up at 8:00 and said that it would be free. I called Angie's List the next day (September 22) and was told that I would receive a full refund via check. However, it is no November 15 and I have not received anything.

Everything went really well, except they were late but they had a guarantee if they were late than the service would be free so that was a plus.

The service turned out pretty well. They were 4 guys who worked almost 14 hours to get it installed, and so there was a lot of work and lot of people coming and going. Things got a little messier than I would like, but it was good.

Technician came out for a yearly tune-up, told me I had a cracked heat exchanger, and a "burned out" hot surface ignitor. He immediately stopped working, shut down the furnace, had me sign a liability disclaimer that if I turned it back on, it was on me. An hour later, the salesperson showed up and gave me quotes for 2 options. Based on my research, I felt those estimates were too high. It did not feel right to me. I got other estimates to confirm the issues. Ended up going with a local company I've used before, did all the work for about half the price Horizon quoted me, only 1 day later than Horizon could have done it. Interestingly, the day before I got the work done, a Horizon rep called, and told me he could bring the price down significantly. This bothered me even more... to know what price they could have done it for, and the price they tried to get me to initially bite on. I was told this was due to special offers and incentives, that were ending at the end of the month of October. I have no doubt Horizon does a good job, but so do other companies, and without all the negotiating. Do yourself a favor, get at least 3 estimates before doing a job this big for your home. Bottom line for me, Horizon usually does good work, and they are fast, but you will certainly pay more for it.

Brian was right on time, very friendly and a real pro. He listened to the issue, went to work, and had the drain unclogged within 10 minutes. He spent time cleaning up after he was done, and left the room exactly as he found it. Top notch all around.
