This company is a total ripoff. They took total advantage of us needing a new unit for a rental property. Charged us $12000 for a 1000 square foot condo the. Pretended they were giving us a deal. Awful.

BEWARE - HUGE mark up on parts. Charged $123 for an Aprilaire filter that I could have bought for $23. Charged $199 for an EZ trap with flood switch that cost $41. I called them to discuss, was just given some verbal nonsense - no actual reason for such a huge mark up. Service guy also tried to talk me into a Honeywell MERV 16 filter because 'it's easier to install.' Thank goodness I said no to that - I researched it later and found that I would have needed an upgrade kit that cost $50 in order to use the Honeywell filter - and the filters also cost much more than the Aprilaire filters I do use. This was so it would be easier for Horizon to replace the filters!!

Horizon was scheduled to come on Thursday, May 7, 2015 to perform a Spring maintenance check on my home air conditioner. I scheduled this appointment approx. 2 weeks ago. Today I received a call about 4:00 pm informing me that they had to reschedule my appointment because they had many emergency appointments due to the warm weather. I said Ok, when could they reschedule? I was told that the earliest appointment they could give me now was for Thursday, June 4, 2015, a full month later than the original appointment date. When I asked why, I was told that there was nothing else available sooner. This is a company that advertises that they will never be late and they will always keep their appointments. Now I am not complaining about the fact that they had emergencies and wanted to reschedule. I am complaining that they want to reschedule for a whole month away. I had problems with Horizon last Fall when I had them install a new kitchen faucet and run a water line to a new refrigerator. When I complained to them about the problem, they assured me that they were sorry and offered to extend my maintenance services for a year. But this is the last straw. I will never need to write another bad review about Horizon because I absolutely refuse to ever attempt to use this company again. They are completely unreliable. I would advise that anyone considering using Horizon Services to call any other heating and plumbing company.

Purchased 99$ angies list deal for any drain clog cleared. Made an appointment for that day between 2-6pm. They arrived at 2:15 and found the clog about 30 minutes later(clog was further down the pipe in the basement). Cleared it out and sink now works great. They also have a 1 year no clog warranty as well. I will use them again for their plumbing services.

They arrived on time. They were clean and they left quickly. There were some issues that needed to be resolved and they resolved them. The problem is every time they come, they find something that needs to be corrected and they charge a little more. I will use them again because I have a contract with them.

I received extremely high quote ( double local plumber) and was offered 25% discount IF I signed Hvac service agreement! It is all about getting ongoing service contracts. They jack up their rates and then offer a "deal" if you sign up for service. I was extremely dissatisfied by their dubious tactics and I got great service at half the cost from local company

They were not able to find out the issue. They are a great team and they are honest and professional.

I cannot begin to tell you how absolutely satisfied I was with the service personnel and the installation of the new heater at my residence. The crew was on time. Kevin, Bob W, and Rob where everything that my salesman, Gary Sherlock, said they would be. They were very professional and knowledgeable. But, more important, they were friendly and informative. I would periodically pop outside to see what was happening with the installation and to ask what I imagine the crew thought, to be "silly" questions. I always got a courteous and polite and full response. It almost made me feel as though I had family members working on the installation. Kevin patiently and thoroughly went over the use of the new thermostat and the settings possible. Their workmanship was fantastic! And when the job was done, the cleanup was so good, except for the Horizon Services sign in my yard, no one would've known I had had a major project completed in what was essentially a half day. I definitely received my money's worth both in equipment and service. With sales personnel and installation folks like I had, I can see why your company is so highly recommended. You can rest assured that I will recommend Horizon Services to my friends and associates. They came to unclog my bathtub drain, but were not successful because no one could find the access panel to the bathtub. It was not their fault and agreed to refund the deal.

Absolutely horrible experience. There was power outages and when it came back the power would surge up and the circuit breakers were blowing. So they came in when we needed hot water heaters and some other stuff. We needed 2 hot heaters and pumps. What happened was that they put the hot water heater in and didn't have the time to put the pumps in. They apologized and said they would be back. They put the water heaters into a totally different outlet from where there were supposed to be, so they didn't have the pumps running. When we put it back correctly the pumps were fine. There was nothing wrong with the pumps. They said we would refund 500$ and 2 free services. Couple of weeks later they came to do service in the heat unit and they started speaking about replacing the unit since it didn't work. So we called in another service provider and for 169$ the work was done and the unit was fine. They were terrible. If you ever get a request for electrical or plumbing services, please don't recommend them.

They didn't charge anything because they didn't undo the drain. The guys who came were very polite they went about their work very quickly. It's just that their equipment wasn't long enough to do what needed to be done.

Horizon was not the low bidder, but i was completely satisfiied with the previous service, so i went with them again. Furnace was replaced in one day, no mess, no damage. It needed a slight adjustment and they came out the next day to complete that.

We have always had problems with roots getting into the main sewer line, which eventually turns into a catcher's mitt for anything passing by. I've tried to rent a snake in the past with mixed results, but eventually just cave in and get somebody to do it right. I took a shot with a $99 special off the Angie's List site, and was shocked by how well it went. They cleared both upstream and downstream, and then just to be sure everything was good, arranged for a guy to come back later that day to run a video camera through the line at no extra charge. This line is 60-65 years old, so I expected this inspection to turn into a multi-thousand excavate and replace estimate. Not the case! The video guy had me look over his shoulder the whole time, and saw nothing concerning. Well done Horizon!

Mike was punctual and professional. As soon as he got to our front door, he put booties on before stepping in. I will definately be requesting Mike next time we need work done! Keep up the good work Mike!!! You rock!!!!

After the service call they wanted to charge an additional $2100 to complete the job. It feels like I am just giving them free money to come out and do nothing.

Total rip off. Out of the 3 jobs I reviewed with the technician he only did one of them. When he said he would get started right away it sounded great. That was my first mistake....trusting Horizon Services. I was charged 880 dollars for 2 hours of work to cut 1 section of PVC to lower a toilet flange and replace a toilet shut off valve which costs 5 dollars at Home Depot. Prior to filing a complaint online and being promised twice I would receive a follow up call I had another appointment already setup. Horizon called me 7 times within 1 hour to find out if I was going to be home. They are eager to get more easy money. It took over 2 weeks to get 1 call from a manager about my complaint and of course I missed the call. It has been over a month and I still can reach the manager. He only left me his office number and no surprise......never picks up the phone. You would think after several voicemails I have left he would give me his cell phone. If you want to get ripped off use horizon services. I would love to see them respond to this and try to justify 2 hours of work with less than 20 dollars in material cost for 880 dollars. I'm sure the response will include the hidden benefits of a 1 year warranty on my toilet flange. That sounds as good as getting a warranty on a toothbrush at cvs. Do yourself a favor read the reviews online about how Horizon takes advantage of senior citizens. I wish I would have.

He showed up well within the appointment window we had scheduled, made sure he fully understood the symptoms we were seeing prior to calling Horizon, then took care of business quickly, and tested the drainage system thoroughly when he was done. To complete the service, he suggested a no-charge video inspection, which we were able to schedule later in the day. I cynically expected (from past experience with other service companies) that this would result in a recommendation for an expensive excavation and sewer line replacement. I was shocked when the tech said, "the pipe's in great shape, no further action required." This was a great experience.

They were wonderful. They are all over. They are honest, upfront, and clean. They are not expensive. They were out here within an hour to fix it. It was a lot less than replacing the unit.

They are very nice. They could not do the service so they refunded me. They are really nice. They send someone to unclogged it and they did not work. The next day the pipe broke and they sent someone out to fix it and they did not charge. They are a really nice company. They are responsive and nice. I would use them in the future.

It turned out to be not well. It was a pipe that was clogged. They sent a work man and he insisted that I sign this ?harmless agreement?; that if there will be damage done in his work, that I will have no recourse. So I signed it or else I will not have gotten any help from him. He did the job and he reported that it was open and my tenant confirmed that it was open. Then I discovered the leak. So it completely drenched my living room ceiling and then it moved on down to the basement ceiling and my treatment room, it drenched the floors down there and my chairs. So I called the company for the problem. In the meantime I had to stop my tenants from using the drain which was the kitchen sink and the dishwasher that was connected to it. So they searched and found the paper that I have signed and had been submitted to their head office. So they said that they only thing that they could do is just charge me for the visit, charge me for uncovering the leak and then charge me for fixing the leak. Then I have to get someone else come back and fix the damage that has been done to the ceiling. So they charged me $50 to come out and actually see what happened. I just decided that I am not going to work with this service provider because it just became to at least an enormous $700 from the damaged pipe and drain. I supposed they have experienced a situation like this where their work has created a damage so they let me signed the agreement. So they will fix the drain but they will not be responsible for any damage that might occur. I will never use them again and I will not recommend them.
